Tomorrow is my seven month window and I am hoping to get a room at The Beach Club.

Have they renovated the rooms? We stayed at BWV in December and the rooms were beautiful. Last time we were at BCV was two years ago and the rooms/carpet/ were in dire need of repair.

Can anyone provide information? Are there scheduled refurbishments for the resort/rooms/pool hat might effect our stay, planned for mid August 2017.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

The room renovations will not affect your August 2017 trip. There were still some rooms on the lower floor being renovated in mid August last year, but all renovations were complete when we were there again in November. I don't know about other resort renovations, but I would find it highly unlikely for them to be doing anything to cause the pool to close during August.

BCV refurb is done. It is our favorite. Rooms are very nice but we were there Nov 30 - December 9th and rooms already showing significant wear and tear. Our two bedroom villa had several scuffed marks on the walls and wood work. Our new stainless steel refrigerator had several scratches/discoloration on it. It did not look brand new and it was on the first floor which was the last group of rooms to be completed. It's disappointing that some people don't take care of the villas when they visit.

What exactly did they do durng renovations? The BWV is beautiful and I am wondering if they did the same amount of work at BCV. I know there are different types of renovations....where they only replace soft items like carpet, bedding, window treatments. The more extensive renovations include all that and the kitchen, furniture etc.

Did they do the same at BCV as they did at BWV?

we just came back from Beach club Dec 4th rooms looked nice but our ref showed marks on it, the one most disappointing thing to me was they removed the big bubble tubs for soaker that is short and in order to have my shoulders in water my feet had to be up on the rim at the end and when the water was on it splashed out of the tub on that end I could see issues with that and it didn't mater how slow I turned the water down it still splashed out, also there is a ledge around the tub and I can see someone missing that small step and hitting the floor. all fans are gone in the rooms. nice dark wood floors furniture has a plastic feel to it shouldn't show stains

It was very similar to BWV - actually a little more extensive as they took out the whirlpool tubs and I believe added a walk in shower in the second bathroom in the dedicated 2BR's although BWV doesn't have the dedicated 2BR so it couldn't get that.

Oh, heading to BLT and BCV over spring break. Wife is not going to like finding out they removed her whirlpool tub. Was this all room types? Wonder if this was to lower maintenance costs?

Yes, the whirlpool came out of the 1 and 2BR's but was replaced with a soaker tub.

We liked the new decor in the rooms but missed the whimsical touch a little. The duck tape used to hold the sliding door plastic framing on the window in place was upsetting. Old duck tape at that. Deluxe villa? Don't understand how a deluxe resort can put duck tape on windows. There were a couple things that I found in the room that caused me to wonder about Disney Vacation Club resort quality after all the points have been sold.

I think there was some shoddy workmanship, at least in our villa. For instance, when we were at BCV this last October, DH noticed when he took a shower that there was one big area where the grout around the tiles in the bathtub area weren't grouted. So that means that the water could get into the wall behind the tub and rot it. Also, the door to our villa stuck because of paint issues.
