BCV Owners who bought resale

We are looking at purchasing BCV resale. I was wondering if anyone would post when the purchased, what they paid, what fees they paid (and, what the seller paid), and if they got through ROFR the first time.

It seems like BCV is the hottest property going. Disney does not have any for resale right now (add ons to members), so I am wondering what I will have to do to get past ROFR.

Interesting, that DVC was offering MB for addons until recently. I am wondering if with the price increase for SSR, they feel they don't need to. If that is the case, they can make a profit on any resale that comes down the pike at the "going rate" of $70-74pt. I wonder if the resale market may spike soon as well?

I am new to this, so any advice from BCV resale buyers would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Beca,

We are currently going through the process of resale and we got 105 points for $74/point.

The fees (besides the point cost) were approximately $480. This includes closing and the dues for the first year for the points we received (there were 16 points left for the 2004 year).

We recently bought 170 Pts at BCV. We did most work by fax and mailed our deposit for BCV points 1/31 (new years eve). We then recieved a letter that ROFR was waived and to sign and forward papers to the settlement company. We then got E-mail paperwork with pdf's that we printed, signed and mailed with balance to the settlement company. We ended up in the system at DVC about Feb 10, or about 6 weeks from start to finish. We received our membership cards a few weeks ago and have allready made ressies for next January. We paid $75/point and settlement was about $450 including dues for 2004-yours should be less.

bot 9/2003 200 pts bcv april uy. all 2003 points and all 2004 points. 72 per point. 475 close and I paid dues for 2003 and 2004.
