BCV not available?

I am trying to rent points for a vacation in November. The DVC member I was communicating with said the dates I wanted for the resort I wanted were not available. When I checked on Disney's website, the villas at this resort were available for my dates. I thought the villas were for DVC members first?

Two completely different inventories. Disney has a percentage of each DVC resort that is for booking through them. Unless you are a member you can not check the inventory available to members.

November is a very popular time for DVC members and especially the Epcot resorts and BCV is a very small resort.

Nov 1 - 14 is food.wine festavial is still going on.

so would not expect anything at BCV or BWV until the 15th at the earliest.

thanksgiving will also be done.

dec 1 -14 (if not 23) will also probably be gone.

you might be able to get SSR, OKW or AKV

When a member trades out their points for a non-DVC Disney vacation, the points they use for that trade get turned over to Disney in the form of a villa to be sold through Disney Reservations Center. Then DVC pays for the non-DVC Disney stay using the cash that was recovered from selling that villa stay.

So what you see available on the web are either stays that have been traded (and already used for a points stay, just not at DVC), or inventory that DVC owns to sell and not available for points.

If you really want a Nov stay at DVC, you need to book that at 11 months out.

I just tried booking BCV today with no luck. I'm in OKW now and put myslef on the waitlist

We were able to book BCV this morning for Nov 6-13...but honestly we were surprised we got in.
