BCV At 7 Months

Of all the DVC resorts we have not stayed at BCV or VB. My 60th birthday is coming up next year (September) and I plan on being at WDW over my birthday. I will be making my reservations at VWL at 11 months but would like to switch to BCV at 7. What are my chances of getting a Studio at 7 months at BCV starting September 26th for 8 nights? Thanks.

Ooooo, we're booked at BLT for a couple nights in June, and are hoping to change to BCV at 7 months too. I'm definitely curious to hear what others have to say.

Assuming Disney does the Food & Wine Festival at the same time next year, your trip would be during the first week of the festival. Traditionally, BWV & BCV have been very challenging to book during F&W at 7 months from what has been reported on these boards.

Good luck on getting the reservation, or a successful waitlist if it comes to that.

Yea, that was my concern about F&W. I guess I can try and then waitlist. Hey the worst case is we HAVE to spend a week at VWL. There are worst things in this world . Now my big decision is where do I want to have DW take me for my birthday dinner - I'm thinking either Boma or Le Cellier.

Try to book exactly at 7 months and if you have to waitlist, do it. I would also check periodically and take a day here or there if you have to. If you begin soon enough, I think you'll get it!

I, too, will be celebrating a milestone birthday next year ... the big 4-0 and plan on being at WDW for the fun. I will be making a reservation at 11 months at BCV and then will try and exchange it for VWL!! My problem is that my birthday falls on the day before Thanksgiving so I know it will be tough to find anything at VWL but a girl can dream!!

Maybe when it gets a bit closer we could figure out a trade!
(Keep me in mind, would ya?!?!?)

There is hope. I was able to get a Studio at BCV for the 2nd week in September in 2007. I don't remember if a waitlist was involved, but at any rate I was successful. Good Luck!

We've been able to get into BCV early Oct at 7 months before with no problem.

today i just booked bcv for the first week in november 09. so i guess they werent booked up for food and wine so hopefully next year u can get that reservation.

Last year we tried at exactly 7 months to get a studio at BCV in October - nothing, and our waitlist never came through. This year, however, I called at exactly 7 months for a studio the first week of f&w at BCV - and got 10 straight days no problems. Then three days later my girlfriend called to get a studio for 7 days during the same week at BCV, no problems for her, either! No waitlists! It seems this year BCV is not filling up, and it's easy to get into. Hopefully you will have the same luck for next year.

I don't know how easy BCV is. I called to get in the first week of March 2010 (7-12) and could not get a studio for all 5 nights. Had to waitlist for my first night. I may call and see if I could move it to the week earlier. I've had luck getting into the BCV in early May and mid August both at the 7 month mark.
