I've never been to either water park and would like ideas on which my 2-year-old DD would enjoy more. Anybody been to both and have an opinion?

Summer of 2003 I took my g'kids (now 6 and 8) to TL ... they had a nice "kiddie" area ... this summer we went to Blizzard Beach and they had two great kids area ... one for kids under 48" and the Ski Patrol area for ages 6-12.

I think I'd vote for BB, although it might be easier to keep track of a two year old at TL.

Hi, we took our 2 year old DD to both this past Aug. We had been a few times before, but not with a kid. In both places there are areas you never see if you don't have a todler.

Both are very good. DD liked BB the best. They have 3 sides, 2 the kids had to by by themselves, 1 I could do with her (she only will go down them on my lap.) She liked that. They also had a little hut at the top with 4 small water sides she was ok with me or by herself. She had a "great" idea of me go down one side, and her the other. He new line was 'I'll meet you there." I swear i went down that kiddy slide 50 times. They also had some jumping water you could play in, a wading area with foalting alligators you could ride on and a little dry sand area. The wave pool has one section where the waves are more reduced and we had some fun playing in there. She also liked the lazy river. BB apears thed best for young 2's and kids who don't like getting spashed in the face. I heard some families taking 2 year olds on the family raft ride, but we didn't. (she is too timid for that at this time.)

TL was also good. There kiddy section didn't have any slides I could ride with her, so she wouldn't do them. Most of the play area involved a great deal of splashy water that she shyed away from. There was a lot to play with and the themeing was good. The wave pool was also fun, there is wadding pool area with a boat they can climb on and another child only slide. The big waves are rather big (can knock a 2 year old over.) but she liked jumping them with dad. Once again lazy river was a big hit. We didn't get to see the sharks because of a thunder storm, but that might be a hit too.

Both were good. DD liked BB a bit more, but she would of had fun if we only did TL. We only went because it was Aug and so darn hot, but I am really gald we did. The water parks are a lot of fun with 2 year olds.

Have a great time, bring a few sand toys and lots of sun screen. One hint, you can bring coolers and your own lunch in.

When TL first opened kiddie area was literally a spot with about 4 things for kids. It was along a well used path.

When BB was designed they did it right ! Big, open, and to the side so only 2 ways in and out.

So they went back in and expanded the TL spot. Still along a path area.

We went in July, and found that the TL kiddie spot was so crowded (because they had crammed it all in a small area) that you couldn't even keep your eye on your kids. Tables all spread about.

BB you can actually sit on a chaise, possible relax and keep an eye on your child. Even when the area was "full" it did not seem jammed packed like TL. I thought it was well supervised also.

The big wave pool is fairly calm too. TL wave pool is powerful and knocks adults over.

Another vote here for Blizzard Beach!

Both of my DDs are under the age of 3 and when we went in May, they had a blast! The kiddie area is very cute and they both liked the lazy river. Have a great time!

Blizzard Beach better, in my opinion, for kids...adults...and in-betweens!

another fan of Blizzard Beach - the kids area is superb. We were disappointed with the TL kids area because there is a lot of water sprayed about and my dd (even at 4) didn't like getting splashed in the face at all
