Hi, we took our 2 year old DD to both this past Aug. We had been a few times before, but not with a kid. In both places there are areas you never see if you don't have a todler.
Both are very good. DD liked BB the best. They have 3 sides, 2 the kids had to by by themselves, 1 I could do with her (she only will go down them on my lap.) She liked that. They also had a little hut at the top with 4 small water sides she was ok with me or by herself. She had a "great" idea of me go down one side, and her the other. He new line was 'I'll meet you there." I swear i went down that kiddy slide 50 times. They also had some jumping water you could play in, a wading area with foalting alligators you could ride on and a little dry sand area. The wave pool has one section where the waves are more reduced and we had some fun playing in there. She also liked the lazy river. BB apears thed best for young 2's and kids who don't like getting spashed in the face. I heard some families taking 2 year olds on the family raft ride, but we didn't. (she is too timid for that at this time.)
TL was also good. There kiddy section didn't have any slides I could ride with her, so she wouldn't do them. Most of the play area involved a great deal of splashy water that she shyed away from. There was a lot to play with and the themeing was good. The wave pool was also fun, there is wadding pool area with a boat they can climb on and another child only slide. The big waves are rather big (can knock a 2 year old over.) but she liked jumping them with dad. Once again lazy river was a big hit. We didn't get to see the sharks because of a thunder storm, but that might be a hit too.
Both were good. DD liked BB a bit more, but she would of had fun if we only did TL. We only went because it was Aug and so darn hot, but I am really gald we did. The water parks are a lot of fun with 2 year olds.
Have a great time, bring a few sand toys and lots of sun screen. One hint, you can bring coolers and your own lunch in.
