Bazinga! It was LEGEN-wait for it-DARY COMPLETED

So, leaving Club Cool, we stopped first to grab some water for poor Boo. She just could not get that taste of the Beverly out of her mouth.

We decided after our second trip on Soarin' to walk over to the World Showcase. Again, remember my OCD tendency? Here we are, in Mexico! :rolleyes1

I always love it in here--so pretty

We then headed over to Norway, and possibly one of my favorite rides, though I don't know why.

June_08_2011_00001507.jpg

Of course, we had to get the obligatory picture with the troll, but this year, Sweetie decided violence was the best policy with the troll.

June_08_2011_00001509.jpg

What are you planning to do to that troll's nose? Didn't you see all the boogers in Harry Potter?

Then, over to China, which I think is one of the prettiest paviolions on site:

Then we moved over to Germany before we had to hightail it back to the resort:

Ah, Caramel, you delightful decadence!

June_08_2011_00001532.jpg

I remember here that before the girls and I went into the World Showcase, Sheldon and Dan left for T-Rex. I never got pictures from there, but the girls and I had tea at the Grand Floridian, which we were so looking forward to.

Up next, Tea for Three!

UGH....I just wanna BE there....NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great update!....keep 'em coming! :goodvibes

Some nice gal at EPCOT and more to come, I see!

I agree, the Mexican pavilion is beautiful! And such a cool and dark getaway when it is hot.

I have not been to Karamel Kuche yet, it opened after our last visit. I can't wait. I have already come up with the title to that chapter of my TR with the teens. "Braces be d*mned! We're going to Germany!"

BTW- do you photopass? I just preordered my CD for the trip we are taking around the same time as yours. I am going to organize the PP share for the class trip.

LOL, love the title!

I do photopass, and that sounds interesting. PM me!

As we left the room, we boarded the bus for Magic Kingdom, knowing we would need to transfer over to the monorail.

June_08_2011_00001550.jpg

What a beautiful sight!

We had arrived early, and because we wanted to visit the Basin Store at the Grand Floridian.

June_08_2011_00001560.jpg

Beautiful store! I much prefer this one to the one in Downtown Disney!

Before long, we were at the tea:

My favorite!

June_08_2011_00001590.jpg

This particular experience is one that is a not to be missed occasion at Disney World. It is delicious, as well as fun. The girls greatly enjoyed it, and it is something we would definitely do again.

That evening, we met back up with Dan and Sheldon to return to Epcot for the night. We did not stay out late that night, but it was an enjoyable evening.

Coming up--fireworks from the resort.

I love the Basin store at the GF....I can't remember the last time I was in the one at DTD .... I always make a point of stopping here!:thumbsup2

That tea sounds lovely! I love the china...it reminds me of a very dear friend of my mother's....she had that china and she would always bring it out when we went for tea!

I do photopass, and that sounds interesting. PM me!

I'll PM you this week- this past week was really hectic!

My younger son is in a community theatre production of Bye Bye Birdie and we had rehearsals all week, performances Thursday, Saturday and this afternoon, three shows next weekend and I helped run a Science Fair on Saturday.

Tea with the girls looks divine! I have never stepped foot in the GF.

My afternoon would more likely be similar to your guys' day- T-Rex followed by hours in the Lego store.

Finally caught up on your TR! I just love Beach Club. I hope to stay there one trip, it's just so serene.

I love your "mother-daughter" time. So cute. Can't wait to read more!

I'm definitely going to be checking for green on any future hot dog that comes my day!

Tea looks like so much fun! What a great way to spend some mother-daughter time.

I love the Basin at the Grand Flo. The tea was wonderful!

LOL, you should visit the Grand Flo. The Grand Floridian Cafe is one of the best underrated places on site.

Thanks! Glad you you get all caught up!

The Beach Club is awesome!

LOL--green hot dogs are horrible!

The tea was wonderful, and someday I'm gonna do it with some fellow Disers!

I love afternoon tea!!! I went once with 2 friends and once with my mom and loved it both times!!! When the girls get older you can go to the spa and then afternoon tea, it's one of the greatest experiences I've had with my mom :)

Your title caught my attention and I'm subbing! Can't wait to read all you have already and your updates!

:yay:

Oh the tea is lovely, what was the swan thing? Looked like a profiterole? We didn't see that when we were there.

Did you buy anything at Basin?

I have to think about doing it with a spa day. I may need one this summer, lol!

I can't remember what the swan thing was, honestly!

I bought a whole bunch of bath bombs and Mickey soap at Basin. I still have a good number of them.

When we left the tea, I noticed one thing--the tea I drank made me very, very sleepy. Very sleepy. I still persevered, but my plans for Fireworks in Epcot were suddenly looking doubtful.

Either way, we met up with the guys again and decided to go on into Epcot for a little visit around the World Showcase.

June_08_2011_00001599.jpg

Since I'm here, although I have no photo evidence, my guess is that I stopped for a Grey Goose Slush. I'm thinking that I probably took a picture with my phone and posted it on Facebook.

June_08_2011_00001606.jpg

We apparently headed Counterclockwise. Oh, the horror!

I want this tilework in my home!

We went all the way through the WS, and then decided to run to Sunshine Seasons for a snack. I don't remember what the kids got, but I took a picture of my dinner, which I think I probably paid out of pocket for. I don't think I used a full meal credit for this:

June_08_2011_00001645.jpg

After eating, we decided to go back to the room. The tea had kicked my behind, and I was just too tired to keep going. So we walked back over to the Beach Club. The kids watched a movie on the beach, while I took pictures as Illuminations began:

Stormalong Bay at night

By now, I am exhausted. I took more pictures, including some of Fantasmic from over the Boardwalk Resort. Then, it was bed for all of us:

June_08_2011_00001699.jpg

June_08_2011_00001711.jpg

Fantasmic!

I don't typically go to bed before 12:30-1:00am. Between the heat, the day, and the Tea, I was tuckered. So by 10:00pm that night, all of us were in bed. Which was good. One should be well rested if one plans to go to Animal Kingdom the next morning!

I just found this trip report today and I have to say that I love it!! Thanks for posting and I can't wait to read more!!

I have to say that I agree with your assessment of waiting for the parades. People can be really rude. I just don't understand it. It really gets me and annoys me to no end.

:welcome: I am just glad that I did not have to fight to much for my spot!

Waking up that morning, I knew that I wanted some pictures of Stormalong Bay with no swimmers. So, instead of walking straight down to the bus stop at the Beach Club, we took a detour over through the Yacht Club.

June_10_2011_00002049.jpg

Do those ducks have SAB bracelets?

June_10_2011_00002052.jpg

Kids, we're heading over to the Jib Slide. You guys play over here.

June_10_2011_00002054.jpg

To the Yacht Club at last.

Our destination for the day?

June_10_2011_00002055.jpg

We plan to have a wild time.

This morning was a EMH morning. We rarely go to EMH mornings, but Animal Kingdom is one we rarely miss. We got here early enough for the now extinct Rope Drop:

June_10_2011_00002058.jpg

Mickey and Minnie!

June_10_2011_00002067.jpg

And heading for the tree of life.

We hurried over to our favorite ride:

June_10_2011_00002069.jpg

June_10_2011_00002071.jpg

You're kidding me? 5 Minutes? It's hard to tell, but the FP return time listed is 8:03. It's 8:03 am by the time we get there.

June_10_2011_00002073.jpg

No dancing? On Everest?

June_10_2011_00002077.jpg

Something is wrong!

So we get off of EE, and go again.

And again.

And again.

5 times we rode Expedition Everest.

By the time we finished it, this is what the sign looked like before our fifth ride:

June_10_2011_00002078.jpg

10 minutes at 9:25?

We could have kept on riding but honestly, my legs were jelly.

We headed on through the park:

June_10_2011_00002081.jpg

June_10_2011_00002083.jpg

We go on to the Safari:

June_10_2011_00002095.jpg

June_10_2011_00002103.jpg

I wouldn't take them on!

June_10_2011_00002105.jpg

I think giraffes are so pretty!

June_10_2011_00002108.jpg

As well as elephants

June_10_2011_00002112.jpg

June_10_2011_00002128.jpg

Don't mind me, I'm napping

June_10_2011_00002132.jpg

Let me alone if you know what's best for ya!

June_10_2011_00002139.jpg

Best. Ostrich. Shot. Ever.

So, we left here to go over to the conservation station. By this time it's probably close to 10:30, and we had ridden Expedition Everest 5 times and done the safari. Talk about a successful morning!

I love being able to see the Illuminations fireworks from the Beach Club. I was surprised that I could see some of them from Stormalong Bay one night when I went for a 9:00 swim.

Of course it's also pretty cool to be able to watch the show from the UK/France bridge and then be back in your room by 9:30.

Wow, that was quite a productive morning at AK so far. Gotta love early magic hours, especially at AK. I find that by late morning/early afternoon, that park gets too hot and crowded to stick around, so it is good to get everything done early!
