i have res thru agent for 2 studios at bay tower b/c 2 bedroom unit was not open. there are 5 of us ( 2 parents and 3 young adult kids). want everyone to be comfy sleeping. husband wants "kitchen" to have milk and cereal! drives me crazy! this unit has kitchenette. we are getting dining plan. not cooking! usually we are only in room to sleep and shower. 3 nights /4days. wondering if we would like staying in 2 rooms at poly or contempt tower better. i think they have fridge for milk and 2 beds, instead of having to use sofa sleepers. have any of you used the sofa sleepers? are beds more comfy? does housekeeping fold them up, and then i will have to make them when we get back to the room tired and sleepy!??? also, if the cost is less, will disney refund me the difference? thanks for your advice.:)

You will need to be split up at BLT studios. None of them connect and they may be on different floors. The studio has one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa. And the BLT studios are very small. When you open up the sleeper sofa there is almost zero space between the bed and the sleeper sofa.

BLT does not have two studios which will connect, but they do have a one bedroom that connects to a studio. I think they call it a 2 BR lockoff? I can't remember the terminology. I'll be honest though if I had the choice I would take Poly even if I had to pay a little more. I HATED BLT. Worst experience at Disney ever unfortunately. =( I won't bore you with the details but needless to say I was not impressed and if you ever need to find a CM at the resort GOOD LUCK!

I'm not a sleeper sofa fan so I'd go for either 2 rooms at the Poly or Contemporary if you can afford it.

I would really go for 2 rooms at POR (that's my favorite moderate which is why I'd choose that one). It would be cheaper.

And yes, Disney will refund any price difference if you change to something cheaper than what you have now.

Check out the pictures on www.allears.net or www.portorleans.org if you are interested in POR. Those picture may help you decide.

Two studios is an expensive option, and you would likely find a better deal getting two rooms at the Contemporary proper instead of in the tower.

calismic, it is important to remember that BLT is a timeshare and not a hotel. It needs to be considered in the same league as a vacation condo, with the same expected service as you would have at home. That said, BLT does have some amenities due to its affiliation with the Contemporary, but these are not afforded to guests of the dedicated DVC resorts, such as SSR and OKW. It is a different animal, and I'm glad you brought that up, since it is an important point some repeat hotel guests don't hear.

i think i will switch to poly. should i request a water od mk view? first floor? or specific building? should i book luau , character breakfast or ohana?
thanks!
:)
