*** Bay Lake Tower Owners Group***

Oh man do you know how long the pool is closing? We will be there in February and i wanted to use it to see my full opinion of it
this is the information from the web:

From January 26, 2026–early May 2026, the Bay Cove Pool, the Cove Bar, the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will temporarily be closed for maintenance. The Bay Lake Pool, the feature pool, the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will remain open for Guests to enjoy.

I believe January through early May. I booked for February and will use the CR pool of it is pool weather.

Never mind I read that wrong. The contemporary will be open and baylake will be closed, thank you

Can someone confirm the coffee maker in a 2 bd? I had it in my head there was a Keurig available. Was I just wishful thinking?

Any recent updates on the room refurbishments?

I will be in a two bedroom lake view (preferred view?) soon.

Also, I seem to remember a thread with BLT room views and I can’t find it.

Happy vacation to all who are away right now!
And happy planning to everyone else!

I'm thinking about buying into BLT on resale. Does anyone here have regrets about owning here?
I own resale here and haven’t stayed yet. But we did go visit the Community Hall on our last trip. I loved it. It’s relaxing there. It’s an easy place to stay. I think I’m glad I own there over Polynesian (my other choice) due to the tower, location, and point chart. I still think if I buy direct I will have to sell BLT in favor of Polynesian, but I actually suspect I prefer BLT after my Polynesian stay.

If they ran a competitive direct option at BLT, I would strongly consider it over Poly, especially with the point charts.
Same. Disney thinks highly of BLT direct. It and Beach Club are the two highest at $275 direct, at least when VGC isn’t showing up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a good direct fire sale on BLT. At $275/pt hard to beat resale when it’s 50% less.

There was a direct fire sale at BLT in February of 2022 that "For existing owners... [dropped] the rate to just $202 each for 200 points and $197 per point for 300 or more"

We sold our SSR SAP that month to finance getting 200 BLT points during that limited sale. But I've never seen another fire sale since.

I definitely don't have regrets! I love the Contemporary, and love the feeling of going out to my balcony and seeing MK and Seven Seas Lagoon, plus the monorail going in and out of the CR A-frame.

I bought in 2018; that is when CCV was actively selling. We went and looked at CCV and then decided to at least check out the lobby of BLT. A CM was nice enough to show us a room and I was in love. Those days there was a waitlist for non active selling resorts and I never was able to get direct BLT then. I ended up buying direct OKW which when I went and saw it in person I sold a year later. Then I bought Riviera. Also sold about a year later after staying one night. I now have a resale BLT (bought in 2018) and 3 small direct contracts which I bought slowly to get to the direct threshold. Other than my VGF BLT is the only resort that I haven't ever wanted to sell. I could just make sure you go there before buying...if I had did that to OKW and Riviera I wouldn't have bought there. Sometimes resorts look good on paper for you but the reality is life changes and what you want can change so it really makes sense to check it out. I am lucky though in that my husband did not care at all and my girls were too young when I bought to even get any type of vote/opinion.
