If you were to ask me about it a little over a year ago, BLT would have been a no-go...wasn't even close to being on the list to be considered. Then one MK EEH changed all of that! We are so happy that we realized soon enough that it's the location that we love and want. We bought a 50 pt last year, then earlier this year I saw a 25 pt that I couldn't pass up so I snatched that before even telling the husband we are adding on!

For us it was between BLT and VGF. We opted first for VGF and then just added our second choice of BLT. I think we have the best of both worlds. Happy DVCing : )Congrats!

Our first one was BRV. Since that's a 2042 resort, having BLT with a longer expiration, it's perfect! My plan is, if we want to continue the membership down the road, we will add on more points at BLT. Especially within the last 2-3 years of BRV expiring, that's when I would start adding more BLT contracts. Or maybe we'll add more before that...lol! who knows?

I have to believe they are working hard to find a way. Maybe a larger room construction in plans. Having a studio actually sleep 4 is huge. I wish there was a way for use to use a crib and couch in a decent manner.... tight floor plan and I would give up some furniture to make that work.

Congrats! We just did the same--another 100 point contract. Waiting to get through ROFR now.
At first, I wasn't wowed by BLT. But outside of its convenience factor to MK, I've come to really love those lake-view studios! It's such a gorgeous, peaceful view.

Please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this. We're at BLT now, leaving tomorrow, and have some leftover groceries (unopened bags of salad and such) that I'd prefer not to throw away. Is there a thread where I can post them? Or a spot where I can leave them?

Assuming you haven’t met someone in the elevator that wants some of your items, I would leave the unopened items that need refrigeration in the fridge and anything else unopened on the counter. The cleaning crew may want some of your items.

Since we know the dates that BLT is undergoing refurb this year, I thought I'd ask - do you all know if/where they sell any of the art they take out of the rooms? Have my eyes on one of the Warhol-eqsue Space Mountain prints...

With the studios having such a small footprint, is there any chance they could reduce or eliminate the balconies on the studio units to add enough space to fit two showers and a murphy bed like the new deluxe studios at PVB and VGF? I think I'd be willing to give up the balcony (or have a Juliet balcony) for the extra bathroom space and murphy bed. Thoughts?
What you are suggesting would require quite of bit of additional engineering, and my thought is that it would be cost prohibitive. But I agree with you, those studios do seem super small; and for that reason I have never stayed in a studio at BLT.

That's a perfect description and I know exactly which one you mean! That's a great idea to eb able to buy old WDW resort decor.

I would say there is no chance of this. Not bad idea for many families but no chance. I want a murphy bed the most and proper space to put a crib.

Hi fellow BLTers! I was wondering... generally speaking, how long does it take for DVC to complete renovations? I am planning a trip for my 40th in January 2026 and am hoping that it will all be done! Thinking about doing a grand villa!
If Boardwalk is an indication it will take 10 years.

My husband and I just put a deposit down yesterday for a 140 point BLT contract and we’re so excited!! It went to ROFR yesterday (the seller and resale company have been great so far), fingers crossed for a quick turnaround
