When the Red Sox play the Yankees and you stay up too late to watch the whole game and then you're so excited/agitated (depending on the outcome  ) that you can't get to sleep?

So now I'm happy about the outcome but my head feels like it's going to explode and the bags under my eyes have bags.

BTW, Matsui's fall last night on his wrist made me want to upchuck. That was awful and, even though he's a Yankee :p , I hope his wrist will be OK. :wizard:

::yes:: ::yes:: That break was horrible, I hope he can play again. DH said this morning he heard on the news it is going to take surgery to fix it.

i know how you feel fellow red sox nationer here its brutal staying up yo watch the games
i can never sleep after

Actually, that reminds me of when the Braves were in the NL West division. They were often on the West coast for division series and we would beg our father to let us stay up and watch "just one more inning". The next day at school wasn't always fun though.

It was really bad in the early 90s when the Braves were in hot contention for the division lead and we'd watch the Braves play and then have to stay up late to see if the Dodgers or Giants won. We just couldn't sleep otherwise. I'd stay up with my Dad watching Tommy Lasorda scratching his behind in the Dodger dugout..... :teeth:

I'm ashamed to admit I fell asleep! Although it wasn't until after it was 4-3 and the Sox were winning. When I woke up it was in the post game show. Today on WEEI they said Matsui is out for 3 months and maybe even the rest of the year. I feel horrible for him, the clip they showed on ESPN of him walking out of the locker room with his arm in a sling, the look on his face was awful. He's a heart & soul kind of player.

LOL this happens to me every night!! Just one more inning leads to another, and another......and then if it ends up in OT, might as well just not go to work the next day!

Ok - I don't like either team but I love the drama and Giambi ain't so bad either!

That fall/break was horrible - it looked like his wrist went backwards...sorry to hear he is out indefinitely.

That was a very exciting and long game! I feel bad for Matsui, and heard this morning he will be out for at least three months. Virgo10, I know just what you mean, but being in Boston I get to fall asleep listening to 'Red Sox Wrap-Up' on the radio. Even my teen daughter falls asleep listening on her radio...we are die-hard fans around here. :)
