Hi! I just started reading your PJ. Your location is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to see more pictures! And you're getting married a week after me. Yay!

Off to read more...

Good for you for getting another chunk of the GF paid off! :woohoo:I've got this big Poly balance hanging over my head that we're hoping to pay off soon. We're planning on using the tax refund for that, so hopefully it will be a good one!

Yay for the honeymoon registry! That is so sweet that someone has already made a purchase! :cloud9: What kinds of things did you include on there?

For our honeymoon registry.. we picked out most of our ADR meals, Grand Floridian Spa, Snorkel excursion on Castaway Cay, Dolphin Encounter, Disney Florist basket, shopping spree at World of Disney and... theme park snacks!! :wizard: (You might be able to see our registry if you go on the website & search for me lol)

Are you guys thinking of doing one? I'm really impressed with it so far... especially as, really, you can spend the money on the card however you like - but it will be nice to say "this dinner is from aunt b, this one is from friend x' etc! :lovestruc

The registry is a little out of date (i.e. it still has Spoodles on it rather than Kouzzina & there's nothing specific to the Disney Dream), but otherwise we're really pleased we've chosen to use it! :thumbsup2

hi everyone,

I just booked something as a surprise for DF.. and had to share it with someone!

On the day we go to the airport to leave for honeymoon... I've booked for us to use a private airport lounge! :woohoo:

We have used the Virgin 'V Room' before, but as we've just booked flights with VA and not a whole package with Virgin Holidays, we can't use this one.. so... I had a look at the airport's website, and there's several other lounges available :thumbsup2
The one I've picked is £20 per person, includes breakfast & all drinks, free wifi, entertainment, newspapers & magazines :goodvibes

The price also includes a 'fast pass' for airport security too! :thumbsup2 - I just thought, as we're flying Premium Economy & staying in such fabulous hotels.. might as well get the honeymoon off to a great start too!

Hi.. I'm really pleased that I thought of this & looked into it!

I know when you fly business class or first class you get access to a lounge, but hadn't thought it was possible to pay to use one! :thumbsup2

We usually spend several ££s on food, magazines etc at the airport anyway, so the £20 pp doesn't seem too much at all.

Hi all!

just uploaded some photos from my camera so thought I'd share..

Here are some pics from last Sunday.. invitation-making day!

and .. here are the goodies I got from WDW from my Mum & Dad..

IMG_0859.jpg

The bride tshirt (definitely wearing this at my hen party!) & pens are from Disney Store.com - I had them delivered to M&D's house in FL while they were there... and they also got me the 'Happily Ever After' buttons and these really cute mini pens of bride & groom Mickey & Minnie! It says on the packet it's a limited edition of 5,000! :goodvibes

Today we had four acceptance RSVPs.. already! :bride:

Table Decor

A uk website called Confetti had a 14% off sale for Valentines this week.. so I decided to order some decorations for the reception tables.

I've got 3x candle votives per table as well as 'crystals' to scatter..

In the light..

In the dark..

IMG_0865-1.jpg

These votives are pretty small, 2 inches square - so I think three per table should be fine.. I emailed our wedding planner at the venue and he said that real candles will be fine - just bring plenty of them so that the staff can keep them lit all night! :thumbsup2

I also got a letter box to put on the gift table at the reception... as we've asked for honeymoon registry/money, I'm not expecting a lot of gifts in boxes, so this will be more practical..

It's plain ivory but I'm going to wrap pink ribbon around it and attach butterflies/flowers.

I also bought us new suitcases for honeymoon (Revelation ones) - and was able to use Nectar points to buy them! (Nectar is a loyalty points scheme at the supermarket I use, can also collect points on our credit card & loads of online shops) - are old ones were getting a bit battered and were pretty heavy before we even packed anything in them

hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned!

Love all your updates Emma!! :)

What a nice little assortment of Disney Wedding goodies!! Those pens are too cute!!

I love the hidden mickey on the table during Invitation central! :goodvibes

I think the honeymoon registry sounds like such a good idea! Most of family are very traditional, so I think even if I did set one up they wouldn't use it. :confused3 Most like to buy a tangible gift, you know? I hope you get lots of exciting meals and activities purchased! What a fun gift that would be to give to someone! :goodvibes

Those votives are so cute! I love how they match your theme. And I love the scattered crystals! Where did you find those? I might need to steal that idea!

Emma you've inspired me! I was doing some browsing and I found some crystals similar to the ones you got and I just had to buy them! There's like 4000 for less than $5! I figured that was too good to pass up! Thanks for the idea! :goodvibes

Fun Disney stuff! I'm so jealous you got the Bride shirt! I've been looking for it for a while but can't find it!

Thank you! I'm saving the pens to take on honeymoon, always seem to need a pen in my hand-luggage for something! :goodvibes

Hi Courtney, that's great about the table crystals!! Mine were so reasonable too - I bought 5 boxes but that will probably be too many.. never mind! My cousin had something similar on the tables at her wedding, I like the way the light reflects off them :thumbsup2

I know what you mean about having a 'traditional' wedding list... I always thought it looked fun to use one of those registers at a department store, wander around 'zapping' things you want!! :cutie: .. as Steve & I already have a house together we agreed we just didn't need the traditional style list, I hope our relatives are okay with the Disney registry ... and i'm guessing some people have laughed when they've seen "log on to Disney Honeymoon registry.com to view our gift list", because they know what Disney nut I am!!

Hope everything is still going great with your planning, 17 weeks to go now! :bride:

Fun Disney stuff! I'm so jealous you got the Bride shirt! I've been looking for it for a while but can't find it!

Hi! I just had a look on Disney Store but it looks like the bride t-shirt has disappeared :confused3 - they have the groom one and Maid of Honor one still :thumbsup2

It' all looking great Emma

Thank you!

DF is out this afternoon, so I have been busy printing out the 'recipe cards' and notes for the favours, reading a wedding magazine & watching 'Four Weddings' programme, there's back to back episodes on today! :goodvibes

Hi all,

little update... my parents have had another 3 positive RSVP cards yesterday! I think we have 12 guests confirmed now :goodvibes - and we also received several gifts on our honeymoon registry too! :yay:

Wedding Shoes

I've ordered another pair of shoes in the hope that they will be suitable for my wedding shoes!

BHSEmmashoe.jpg

BHSEmmashoes2.jpg

They have a smaller heel than the last pair... pink, sparkly and... the style is called "Emma" !! keeping my fingers crossed that the heel isn't too big .. if not I'll return them or take them on honeymoon :thumbsup2

Love those shoes!! I hope they're comfortable, because they're gorgeous!

That is great that your guests are RSVPing so quickly! I have a feeling we're going to have to hunt down RSVPs unfortunately. :sad2: And yay for getting more things from your honeymoon registry! :woohoo:

I love those shoes! They are a beautiful pink color and I think it is so cute that they are named Emma! :goodvibes

Lots of wedding updates.

Yay for getting your first registry gift and a v cool one at that too :)

I love that bride tee, I spied it on the US website too and was going to buy it not long ago but its out of stock, although I have been told it will be in stock again soon so that's not too bad. Was so gutted when I saw it was gone. Did you get a groom one for Steve?

Those shoes are just too cute, hope they work out for you :)

Love the shoes Emma. Do practice wearing the shoes around before the wedding. Don't wear them for the first time on your wedding day or you'll have very unhappy feet. My wedding shoes ending up pinching my toes and by the time of the reception, my feet were screaming!! I ended up sending someone to get me a pair of my ballet flats, which then made my dress too long because the shoe had a heel and the flat, was...well... flat! My wedding shoes were really pointy. :sad2: I still have them in a box:confused3 have no idea why because they're turning yellowish from age and they always pinch my toes. Maybe my 8 year old will want to play "dress up" and klunk in them.

thank you! I hope they are comfortable & heel height is ok... they're just what I was looking for & only cost about $40! :goodvibes

I'm quite impressed how quickly people are RSVP-ing... we did include a pre-printed accept/not accept card with addressed & stamped envelope.. I think that's helped, encourage guests to put them straight back in the mail! :thumbsup2

I was amazed the shoes were called 'Emma'.. I was searching on the website for 'pink sandals'.. and those showed up! maybe it was meant to be ;)

Hi Stefy.. I hope you do manage to get one of the bride tshirts! from reading the reviews on the website, I went for two sizes bigger than I'd normally order, they come up pretty small.. the one I've bought fits nicely but is quite long! :cutie:
I didn't get Steve a groom one... I'm not 100% sure he'd wear it (although I have made him a white tshirt with 'groom' on it in Disney font!), as he doesn't really like to wear dark coloured tshirts in the Florida heat .. it is cute though! :lovestruc

We had some more amazing things gifted on the registry yesterday.. including the dolphin encounter while on the cruise ship! I'm a bit overwhelmed by how generous people are being :cloud9:

Hi Mindy! lovely to hear from you.. thank you for the shoes tip.. I'm considering keeping my wedding shoes under my desk at work, and just popping them on while I'm sat there to get used to them! :thumbsup2

Oooh a dolphin encounter, very cool :) Is that at Castaway Cay?

Hi Stefy.. the dolphin encounter is at Nassau... I think it's called the 'Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter' .. they also do dolphin swims, sea lion encounters & sting ray encounters :goodvibes

There are also dolphin experiences available at the Atlantis hotel there, but they cost a lot more (our one is $125 each for 4/5 hour excursion) & I checked with our travel agent and she said she'd heard nothing but good reviews of Blue Lagoon :thumbsup2
