Cute thank you cards :) You're hair and make up look great she did a great job :thumbsup2

Just jumping over to catch up from the June thread! It's fun seeing all your preparations.

it's from the 'Cooking with Mickey & the Disney Chefs' recipe book :thumbsup2

I have that cook book - we love the Mushroom Risotto and the Meat Loaf. Bought the book for the CP potatoes which never turn out right...grr..

Thanks Stefy... I'm still really pleased how it turned out, looking at the photos :goodvibes

I totally agree!! Your hair and make-up look lovely. You may feel like you're wearing alot of make-up, but you need to be thinking about how it will looks for photos. A little more make-up looks better than less in photos.

I always wear make-up at Disney Parks because I don't want to look old and washed out for Photopass photographers. Normally, at home just for everyday, I don't wear much or any.

I really love those cards, they're so nice. 15 weeks...... will be here before you know it!

Thank you Mindy.. the makeup did feel alot but then looking at the photo I can see it looks fine on camera :thumbsup2 .. lol I always wear makeup while at Disney.. but change to water-proof mascara.. got to be prepared for those water-rides/emotional firework shows!

Your hair and makeup look beautiful, Emma! :cloud9: You definitely look like yourself - just all done up! I love that hairstyle - it's elegant but fun and youthful, too. :goodvibes

Thank you Courtney! I wouldn't normally have my hair as curly as that, but I do wear it half up/half down quite a lot.. so I'm hoping I'll still look like me... with fab hair & makeup ;)
we're another week closer fellow-bride-to-be!! :yay:

Thank you for joining in & reading along!

I really like the WDW cookbooks.. the meatloaf from 50s Prime Time is a lovely recipe.. I like the one from San Angel Inn too (think it's called Pollo de Las Rajas) - I also have one that my Mum bought on our first trip in 1993 (!) that has the Main Street Bakery cookies recipe in it.. that's what we're putting with our favours :goodvibes

99 Days to go everyone!! :yay:

Slight disappointment this weekend.. I was meant to have my first dress fitting tomorrow, but the shop phoned today to say that my dress wasn't going to arrive until Monday :sad2: ... rebooked for 2 weeks time.. bit annoying because my cousin (MoH) was going to come stay with me tomorrow (she lives in Yorkshire, several hours drive away) so had a lovely weekend planned.. but now no plans at all! never mind.. even more excited to try it on in a fortnight's time, I'll have all three of my bridesmaids with me then :cutie:

Happy weekend everyone!

Emma princess: x

I hate to hear your dress didn't arrive when you thought! I hate when there are little glitches in the planning. :headache:

Wow - I can't believe we're under 100 days! :yay:

That's a shame about your dress, but it will make it all the more special in two weeks esp with your bridesmaids there too :)

Hi everyone!

Sorry there's not been many updates this week.. few wedding things have been done but otherwise been quite busy at work & then we've been away this weekend with DF's family for his parents' 35th wedding anniversary (went to Blackpool, seaside resort in the Northwest of England!)

Bits of wedding news...

Chair Covers

I have contacted the chair-cover company that our venue recommends, they have sent me a quote which looks fine, so we'll get those ordered this week!
We're having white covers with a dusky pink sash

something like this...

Present for Bridesmaids

I have bought some lightweight kimono-style dressing gowns for the bridal party, I'm going to give them out on the morning of the wedding when we're getting ready!

My cousin got these for her bridal party last year, I really liked mine & still wear it quite a lot! she got us proper towelling dressing gowns but I decided to get the cotton ones as it'll be summer and (hopefully) a warm day! :cloud9:
I have bought a 'bride' one for me too :cutie:

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend... under 3 months to go now!!

Emma princess: x

Can you believe we're under 3 months Emma?!:woohoo:

I love the color of the chair sashes! That is exactly the pink color I'm using in my wedding. :thumbsup2

Cute gifts for the bridal party, I love the "bride" type clothing you can get :)

Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Blackpool and from your FB updates you had really nice weather too :goodvibes

Hi Emma  finally managed to catch up on your plans (though have to admit I skipped the comments and Dec trip planning) and they all sound so great :goodvibes

Can't believe the big day is so close! Loved reading the story of how you and Steve met and how he asked you to marry him...sounds so romantic :cloud9: Tylney Hall looks great and am pleased to hear the lobby resembles ToT at Disney World!

I keep seeing Uniqlo Disney clothes and am soo gutted that the one in Manchester did not stay open for long. Will have to plan a trip to London to visit the store

Loved the football talk as it reminded me of my frustration of the Germany game last year! :sad2:

Your dress sounds great..am looking forward to seeing pics of it on you :thumbsup2

:yay: on staying at AKL and GF...what a great Disneymoon! :cutie: Congratulations on your promotion!

Look forward to hearing the rest of your plans :)

Hi Stefy! I've been looking at a lot of the 'bride' items on celebration plus/confetti etc ... really pleased with the dressing gowns, and my disney 'bride' tshirt! :bride:
Blackpool was a fun weekend - it was pretty amazing weather for the North of England in March too! I always find it odd to be in a non-Disney theme park/amusement park.. it's hard not to compare isn't it?!

Hi!! Thank you so much for reading along.. can't believe I started this PJ over a year ago, the weeks are really flying by now.. it's all happening so soon! :woohoo:

Your PTR reminded me to check out Uniqlo website again.. they still have some Disney clothes on there :thumbsup2

I finally got the Disney Bride t shirt, they got some in stock not long ago. Can't wait to see it.

Me and DF are the same about comparing Disney with other amusement parks etc. They really have set the bar to a high standard for us that's for sure

Really glad you managed to get one of the 'Bride' tshirts from Disney Stefy :thumbsup2 ... I can't wait to wear mine for the hen party & then on the wedding morning! :bride:

DF's family kept saying things at the Pleasure Beach like "it's not as good as Disney, is it Emma?" ;) - but they're not really comparable are they! :cutie:

Some wedding updates to come!! .....

Wedding Planning

Hi everyone!

Sorry not written much lately.. but had a wedding-filled weekend so have some things to share :goodvibes

we are now at less than 12 weeks to the Big Day! :yay: In fact, this time in 12 weeks.. we should pretty much be at MCO and soon on our way to WDW and Kidani Village :cloud9:

So this weekend, my cousin & her husband came to stay.. on Saturday, DF & he went to the groomswear shop to get the suited fitted (her DH is one of our ushers) .. while we met with my sister and DF's sister to have a bridesmaid day out! :cutie:
It was great to spend a day altogether - my cousin & DF's sister hadn't met before & I thought it would be nice to get them together so that everyone is more relaxed on the wedding day.. they got on really really well :thumbsup2

First appointment we had was their dress fitting - all three of them looked so pretty!

IMG_0908.jpg

The dresses need some alterations but generally fitted well, each dress is having different straps - halterneck, thin straps & strapless; and they are all choosing their own shoes so it'll give them a bit of individuality.

We stopped at Starbucks for coffees, and I told them where we were headed next.. the Benefit makeup shop for beauty trials!

benefit02.jpg

They were all really surprised & excited.. we all really like Benefit makeup, so I was pleased to find out they did bridesmaid tutorial makeovers.
I also had a trial, but told the beautician mine was for my honeymoon, so I could learn how to put on makeup quickly and properly! .. it turned out she was going to WDW for her 21st birthday this May, and staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge... small world ;)

As a treat for my bridesmaids, I bought them any of the products that they wanted from the trial.. they resisted a little to start with, said they would buy their own.. but I convinced them it was a Bridesmaid gift!! :cutie:

Next we went shopping for their hair accessories - they all agreed on small hair slides with pearls & crystals in them (I'll try to remember to take a photo soon!) ... and then we went to our next appointment.. my first dress fitting!

It was the first time DF's sister had seen me in the dress, and it got her approval too :goodvibes

Here are some photos.. I'll take these off after a little while, just wanted to share!

It was great to wear the dress again.. especially as this was 'my' dress! It was a little big around the bust & hips, I assured the shop assistant I'd not lost weight  but she took it in no problem, then we discussed where to put the rest of the sprays of pearls/crystals.. she did the hem, and I picked out a tiara.

IMG_0919.jpg

Next fitting is in May and I'm hoping my Mum can come with me then (she & my Dad are currently in Asia on a cruise.. yesterday they were in Hong Kong Disneyland :wizard: !!)

After this, we went for lunch at a new Italian restaurant for salads & pink champagne :cloud9:

It was a really lovely day!

Latest pre-wedding present

My aunt & cousin have been buying me a pre-wedding present since last June.. here is this month's!

IMG_0881.jpg

Really cute M&M tee.. I'm hoping to save it for my hen party weekend & then honeymoon!

Rings

Couple of photos of our rings!

IMG_0880.jpg

They are now safely in DF's parents' safe .. they're just plain platinum bands :goodvibes

I've also looked through all my honeymoon shopping so far & made a note of what we still need to buy.. the shops are now getting the summer clothes in so it shouldn't be hard to find what we still need!

So that's about it.. hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!

Sounds like you had a great weekend! :thumbsup2

Love the bridesmaid dresses - they all look great! Yay on getting to do the beauty trials and how cool that the beautician was also planning a trip to Disney World! :cool1:

Love the wedding dress pictures - am glad I got to see them this time before they get taken off. The detail and design is incredible :lovestruc

The M&M tee is very cute and am also looking forward to the shops having summer clothes :goodvibes

All of the dresses look fabulous! Especially yours, it's gorgeous! And sounds like you had so so much fun!

Hi, I followed you here from my PTR. :goodvibes

I'm only on page 2 so far, but I'm really enjoying the read. We got engaged on the very same morning, Christmas 2009! :lovestruc

The place for your wedding looks gorgeous, and I like that you will have subtle Disney touches throughout. :)

So I'm reading this and thinking "12 weeks..wow, her wedding is soon...wait a minute, isn't mine right before hers?" So I went and counted..10 1/2 weeks?????????? oh man! that sounds so much closer than 70-something days! Also, who made your dress? I can't remember if I said this before, but that looks very similar to the dress I almost got (and am slightly wishing I had gotten!)

Aww Emma you look gorgeous and your Bridesmaids look so pretty too, love the colour :goodvibes

Gosh not long now and these 12 weeks will fly by :bride:

oh wow, you look stunning! Your dress is gorgeous! Love the brides maids dresses as well. Very classic looking. Perfect for a late spring wedding. You've really captured that well.

Sounds like you girls had a fun weekend! Those BM dresses look gorgeous-- as does yours, of course! I love the ruching on your gown. I LOVE Benefit make-up! That's so cool that they do bridesmaid make-up trials!
