I would like to take my 15 1/2 month old to get his haircut while we are at WDW.
Have you experienced such a young child getting their haircut there?
What time does it open/what time did you arrive?
Cost?
Did you have a long wait time?
I've been letting my little ones locks grow for this and now I want to make sure I know everything before we go. I hope he allows them to cut his hair, he's OK with me doing it. Otherwise in all of our vacation photos he will look like a hippie!
Thanks.

I'm sure they will not have a problem cutting your 15.5 month old's hair. Michael is great with the kids there and does a phenomenal job. We had our son's first hair cut there @ 22months and have awesome photos. Great memories. It's on a first come first serve basis, so it will just depend on your timing. I think we waited about 20 minutes or so. They may open around 11am, but I don't know that for sure.

The cost was quite reasonable. For some reason $12 is sticking in my head, but that was 2 years ago.

Have fun!

Our youngest had his first haircut at WDW when we was about that old. It was great. He got a certificate and a set of mouse ears with "1st Haircut" embroidered on them. They're open 9-5, and it's first come, first served. The cost is $12 for kids or $15 for adults. We like to try to get in line during the main street parade or some other diversionary event.

detroitdad, I think you're thinking of Michel. He cut our son's hair and I agree, he is great.

Thanks for your replies.

Very helpful info.

GET THEIR HAIRCUT THERE OR IS IT JUST FOR YOUNG BOYS??

Little girls (and BIG ones!! :)) can get theirs too. I got mine cut at the Barbershop in March, and I'm 23 - it's a great experience, a lot of fun, and a good hair cut!! ;)

Just FYI -I asked before I went in if they would cut my hair or if it was only men and kids. They actually told me that they LOVE when girls (even 23 year olds) come in to get theirs done cause they usually have so many boys and men, it's nice to have a change of pace!! Take your little girl - she'll be the Princess for sure!!!

I saw a girl getting her hair cut and pixie dust just the other day. She was about 6 years old.

i had my ds's hair cut there in january when he was 9 months. it is one of my favorite memories of that trip! (as you can see he had a ton of hair)

michal was great, he really kept ds relaxed. i videotaped the entire thing and love watching it! here's a pic (i swear i've posted this a dozen times :) )

My 9 y/o dd got her hair trimmed for school while we were there in mid-August. SHe loved it!! Wouldn't let them put any color goop in tho. But, Michel did get the ole pixie-dust in!!! Get there early. ANd don't forget the camera.

Had my hair cut by Michael last year. Really nice guy. Even gave me pixie dust!

I'll have my son down for his first haircut as soon as he has enough hair to cut!! (He's 9 months old)
