Baltimore BOT-Fest

Good morning folks. Getting ready for my 20 miler this morning and I thought I would stop in before I hit the road.

:lmao::rotfl:Ha ha, that seems like so long ago I got up at 4:30 a.m. to run. Actually I just can't sleep so I thought I would check in with you all and let you know I haven't forgot about my Bot family. School is finished for another year and I am still trying to get my summer in order. I think I have June and August under control, but July is a bit scattered.

Off to make coffee because I think this is morning for me.

So, Jodi, is that what you do all day and get paid for it??

Dude, you have NO idea! (insert pooping smilie here)! ;) But it's MAD Magazine, not Runner's World!

Colleen - You should have left that post the way it was...it was like Deja-vu! :rotfl2: BTW, when's the last time ANY of us here on this board has gone on a 20-miler training run? :lmao::rotfl::sad2:.....popcorn::

Jen - I like that I pop into your head when you think about a lower work-ethic. It's logical to me! Still wish you could be @ that race. Can you tell your friends to cheer for the freak with barefoot shoes on, too? :thumbsup2.

Mike - When is the Tow-Rag Marathon down there? Will you consider doing the JFK 50-miler?

Where are all you other d-bags at?

Ran 6 this a.m....can't complain, nice time for me & added a huge hill to get ready for Fairfield. :scared1:

Colleen - Nice to see you are still with us.

Jodi - Towpath? That's in Ohio. October 10th. It's on the radar. A definite PR type course.

JFK 50 miler? I don't know. I had thought about it before but I'm not sure. For a relatively big race their website is total crap. I didn't look too much but I seem to remember it being hard to get much useful information. Why do you ask?popcorn::

ETA: Refresh my memory. Who is doing Wine and Dine? Half or relay?

March 5th. Then you have to go all the way back to December 10th. Yikes!! One 20 miler in 6 months. No wonder I can't run 6 miles without taking a few walk breaks.:sad2::sad1:

If Jodi's calling out "all of the other d-bags," I guess I'd better check in:rolleyes1

Jen - Sorry about the work sitch and your not being able to run Fairfield:sad1:

Colleen - Hoping you get your July all set and sorry to see you are also having a bit of insomnia:hug: I think this is morning for me as well:confused3

Jodi Thanks for the shoe info:thumbsup2 I'd like to pretend I'd have a need for those and may actually go check them out at a local store.

Howard - Hoping Cam is feeling better these days:grouphug:

CindyLou - Hoping your running talk went well:banana:

My 3 children have birthdays all within a month's time span so I'm overbooked these days:laughing: Trying to get walk/runs in with the dogs most days and pondering doing the Warrior Dash in Windham, NY in the fall:yay:

Sara - :yay: So glad to see you in these parts!! Even gladderer to see that you've been getting out & about with the pooches. Getting ready for school in the fall? We were eying that Warrior Dash thingie, too!! :thumbsup2

Mike - TowRag's in OH? yuck. Only going to OH for the Pig!! Might do that next year, BTW. When is it usually, in April? You've done it, right?

I was thinking about the JFK 50 miler, but you're right, their website does blow. Just wondering if you could offer a little insight on the trails it's run on. I will most likely do a 50-miler one day, but it'll probably be the one here in CT.

What about all the OTHER D-Bags?? popcorn:: :rolleyes1. You guys suck. Acting like you're working & all & too busy for the thread!

Not much going on here. We bottled our brew yesterday...2 cases worth! We'll see what happens. The official name of our "brewery" is - HitTheWall Brewery. This particular brew is going to be called "ShinSplintStout". Waiting for Spencer to develop the artwork :rolleyes1 popcorn:::rolleyes::laughing:. Apparently playing his instruments is a bit more important to him right now. :sad2:

Howdy partners! Quick drive-by...

First week of summer at our house!

Kids started morning swim practices and DD is doing a science camp too.

I love summer!

Jodi, can't wait to hear how the brew turns out.

Hope everyone is well.:grouphug:

Thank you! ;)
That's OK Jodi. I made a new friend over the weekend also named Jodi that is much, much nicer.

Oh yeah?? Let's see that Mermaid-ho run 17 miles with you in that cheesy little outfit with the matching earrings!
Oh my, :lmao:, that really made me laugh! :lmao:

I can't imagine anybody else calling Jodi Benson a "mermaid-ho"! Don't you like how her earrings look like mermaid tails?

Mermaid tails??? They look like the demented Christmas trees that Spencer made for me when he was in Kindergarten! Wrong color & all! :rotfl2:

Actually, I think I saw those in the display case @ WalMart the other day when I was buying laundry detergent.

I like how you can insult Jodi Benson and your son at the same time... you're one of a kind Jodi! ;)

Where are all you other d-bags at?

My last 20 Mile "Training Run" was on October 11, 2008 (9:36 Pace). I ran it in Western Pennsylvania while visiting my Mom. I was in training for the October 26, 2008 MCM in which I PR'ed in 4:10:39 (9:27 Pace).

I ran 18 miles in training for my recent Delaware Marathon, but didn't make it up to 20 due to my vacation in Jamaica. Tough break. :sad2:

Mr. D-Bag here checking in.

Logged a Run last night but couldn't post it because the site was down for a couple of hours. I haven't been running much, only a couple times in the last two weeks. My knee was acting up, but now it seems to be better:

Miles: 6.01
Time: 55:50
Pace: 9:18
Splits: 9:57, 9:54, 9:00. 8:44, 9:27 and 8:47.

I am looking forward to seeing a couple of you in just a couple of weeks (or less). I am glad we are (mostly) present and accounted for. :rolleyes1 I am looking forward to putting a training plan together for MCM which will include the Fairfield Half and the Phila. Rock-N-Roll Half in September. I hope to regain my previous fitness level (ala 2008) and get a good time at MCM.

So glad you are out and about Sara!!!:hug:

Cam is doing better, but not out of the woods yet. She started PT yesterday and will be visiting them twice a week for I don't know how long. She'll soon be fitted with a range of motion brace and she'll work on weight bearing, bending it, etc. It is a slow process and she is not through with the pain killers yet. She needs them at night to sleep. She is still hobbling around on crutches and/or in a wheelchair most of the time which is understandable.

Hi to Sara, Judy, Jen, Chester, Mike, Colleen, Jodi, Dave, Lou, Matt & Cindy!!!

Sorry about that...the last few weeks I have been a D-Bag and too busy for the thread. I'll try to play catch up over the next few days. I have managed to run here and there the last few weeks. 4 or so miles a couple of weekdays per week and usually an 11-12 miler on Saturday. Marissa turned 10 yesterday so no more kids in single digits. Looking forward to the summer which won't start for the kids until next week due to the major snow days.

Lou
