Bags/backpacks, what do you do with them?

I want to take a bag, but what do I do with it when we get on a ride? Do they (Disney folks) store them for you when you board? I figured they must since it seems like everyone carries a messenger bag or backpack.

Most rides have a place to put bags & backpacks. They usually have a net pocket or you can just put them down on the floor. They will check them when you enter the park so be prepared to let them go through them.:goodvibes

swald91 is correct; all Disney attractions have a storage area for bags. There's either a mesh pocket on the back of the seat in front of you, or the floor of the attraction is large enough for you to put your bag down.

Enjoy your vacation!

In the past we have always had a stroller we could leave some stuff on while we went on a ride. This year no stroller so I was wondering what we would do. I remember that on the water rapids ride in animal kingdom they have a place to put your stuff so it will stay dry but I couldn't remember what they do on Rockin roller coaster or space mountain and never done the expedition everest before so wasn't sure. I should only have one backpack but still don't want it to cause me trouble while trying to have fun! :cool1:

I carried a messenger bag, so I just swung it around front for rides. There were a couple that they specified to put bags in the net area by our feet, but otherwise I just smooshed it (still around my neck / shoulders) in front of me under the safety bar, etc.

I use the Vera Bradley Hipster which I put all the essentials in. Then I just bring it with me on EVERYTHING and just slide it infront of me. The odd time that we NEED extra stuff I bring a small backpark with the extras and just leave it in the stroller. Remember you are not going to the moon and chances are you really don't need half the stuff you carry around. I have 3 kids and tend to be good at bring more stuff. Tip: go easy on the "stuff".

I LOVE Vera Bradley stuff and just recently got the hipster in Daisy Daisy (and a satchel for the trip). Anyway I don't think it will be big enough cause we will also probably bring some water bottles just in case and a few other things. I might somehow scale it down a bit but will still have a bag. If I take my Animal Kingdom backpack (I got it on our last trip) I might can leave one arm in a strap, zip it up and smoosh it under the bar on the ride.
I was just wondering what everyone else does.
Last time with the stroller we had a cooler locked to it so when we went on the rides we got to travel light.

Even on a ride like Rock n' Roller Coaster (which goes upside down), I bring my backpack. I just set it at my feet and loop the strap around my ankle, so it won't fall out when the ride goes upside down. Unless you have a huge backpack (which would be a pain to lug around, anyways!), you should be okay.

Thanks for everyone's help. Glad not to need a stroller this time. Guess I need to learn to travel light! :lmao:
