DH is looking to get a new backpack for our trip this month. We currently have a swiss army one but there are so many pockets that it is a pain for bag check. Would just like one with the main compartment and a front pocket and preferable a water bottle holder on the side. Anyone have a favorite? with links would be great. Thanks!

Well mine is a camera backpack for a DSLR. Don't know if you need that or not. It's a Lowepro Fastpack 250. Sorry I don't have a link. But if you don't need to store camera equipment, then it's probably not for you. But if you do, I think it's great! Lol

I had a Swiss Army backpack for school, very nice backpacks but I agree - so many pockets!

I bought my backpack for Disney before our first trip with our DD in 2005 and it still looks practically brand new after half a dozen trips, other vacations as well and many hiking trips. It isn't made anymore :( but I am sharing a link to one similar. It is very lightweight and small and fits nicely to my back, but can hold our ponchos, snacks, two water bottles in the outside pockets and more water inside, my bulky camera, usually a long sleeve shirt or two as well. I also have a carabiner from Animal Kingdom attached that you can attach a bottle to.

I love that the fabric on the back breathes and the fabric on the front is water resistant, as well as the bottom having a coating on it, so I've never worried where I sat my backpack down.

The only thing, looking at the Keen website, is that I wish they still made them in colors other than white and black. Mine is Orange which makes it great for hiking but also great in a crowded park just in case of a little crowd separation.

Good luck shopping!

We take a very small Jansport backpack. Just big enough for our phones and water bottles, with a little front compartment for our ID's and money. Taking a large backpack is a huge pain on the rides. I understood immediately why a lot of people use fanny packs, as fashion-backward as they are. They sure are super convenient.

We have a camelback backpack. It has two compartments (about the same size each) and a compartment for the bladder. I think the bladder is a 1.5L. It will last our family of 3 most of the day. It also has plenty of space for autograph book, wallets, camera, etc.

Would anyone happen to know the name or where to purchase an insulated backpack ? On my last vacation I seen a guest packing his backpack up with ice then he put some sodas in there then finished filling it up with ice. I thought that was so neat but couldn't bring myself to ask him where it got it from since I had been starring at him for the last minute or so
