Hope you got accomodation sorted for August. For some strange reason I never got around to welcoming you with your 1st post. Maybe because it was about Villas, I don't have a clue about them:rotfl:

Better late than never,:goodvibes Welcome to DISboards:welcome:

I have just ordered a Lowepro, just waiting for my camera to arrive to put in it now. I have just ordered the Panasonc DMC-TZ20. Please note I know nothing about camera's but it appears to be a good point and shoot. It is the new model up from TZ10 which had loads of good reviews - so here's hoping.

We have the TZ10, great camera. Will no doubt upgrade to TZ20 when the price drops. I am totally opposite to my Brother, he has to have the latest of everything as soon as its available, he is already on his 3rd Ipad. I wait til they are giving them away. :rotfl2:

Is this new, or do you think the bag just looked heavy and prompted them to weigh it? With that said, it was only after I posted on here last night that I watched the Youtube clip and I could not believe how much stuff went into that bag! Must be designed by a woman :rotfl:

Bit of a late response, but no, Virgin checking the hand luggage weight isn't new, at least from my experience. It's always been about 60-40 for me (ie more often than not) that they've weighed my handluggage (I've only once been caught out being overweight and have made sure to 'pack light' ever since so we make sure we travel light in the hand luggage department now, they still check) and this is flying PE, so you'd think they'd be a little more relaxed. Orlando end however, I don't think they've done it even once, I think it's just the Gatwick end where they're a bit more zealous.

OT: that's a great looking bag!

I've had my hand luggage weighed at the Orlando end before a return flight, so it's definitely a hit-and-miss thing.

I don't really know. It was the first time it happened, but it was my first time travelling alone so maybe that had a bearing. It was one of those WDW trolley cases that you get on offer if you buy a certain amount in the gift shops - I got it on our trip last year and brought it home no problem but then had to weigh it last month at Manchester. I certainly tried not to make it look heavy and it wasn't really what I would call heavy but at least I managed to get it on in the end :)

We had our hand luggage weighed about 6 years ago at Sanford. My sons was slightly over so he took his sweater out of the bag, tied it round his waist, put one thing into my hand luggage. It was then below the weight!! Don't know what difference it made as we just swapped it back as soon as we were away from check-in!

Hi all

Thanks for this Wayne, bit of a late response but we were away when the bag arrived. The bag is great and my camera and lenses will fit nicely in the bottom. Looks to be a comfortable bag if I decide to use it as a day back at the parks too.

Thanks again

Steve
