hi everyone. i'm unfortunately back home after my stay in wdw june 11-16. por was great. i was actually in the room next door to the one i stayed in the last time i was there. we were at the mansion side-- oak manor. does anyone have any questions? i'll be glad to answer any questions that i can.

I am planning a stay there in November. Have they begun to do renovations to certain areas and if so which areas? Was your room near the renovations and could you hear any noice coming from the area in the mornings (I'm a late sleeper). How were the rooms (I have read several recent reviews that rooms were showing their ages)? How was the bus transportation?

We stayed in AG 14 last Sept. and want to stay in Oak Manor this December. How was the conditions of the rooms? Is Oak Manor the smoking optional mansion building (I don't smoke)?

yecats--- i could not hear any noise from the renovations that were going on. i was a bit concerned at first that it would be a problem. i know some buildings were closed as well as the bus stops except for the main one. actually they started making some stops at the west depot on sun and mon. as for the rooms-- ours looked fine. there were 2 small spots on the carpet that i noticed only because they were by the bathroom door/mirror and i was drying my hair at the time. our "mousekeeper" was absolutely wonderful. i really had no complaints about the room or noise. bus transportation was also very good. for once i think i timed everything right. i've stayed at por 3 times now and this time the transportation was the best.

steve-- we had a non-smoking room. i'm not sure if the whole building is non smoking or only parts. i did not have a problem.
