Back from POFQ and newly engaged!!

We just got back from 5 nights at POFQ and 2 nights at Universal's Royal Pacific. Had a wonderful time because I got engaged finally. It took my boyfriend 5 years but I guess it's worth the wait.

Weather was a little icky the last couple of days with quite a few rain showers and chilly temps. But hey it's better than what got dumped on us here in PA.

Parks were not full at all. I couldn't believe it, ecspecially Universal. We got Islands of Adventure by 10:30 am, took an hour to eat at NASCAR Cafe and then had Universal Studios done by 4:00 pm. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to see it all but staying on site is a huge benefit. Never waiting in line rocks!!!

Royal Pacific is beautiful and service was great. The water taxi over to Universal is a nice way to travel after walking all day.

I didn't know that Carrousel of Progress was down, it's been many years since I did that and was looking forward to it again.

And the ring at the end of Haunted Mansion was quite a bust. I'm expecting to see something at least gold or silver. But it looks like a little pipe sticking up through the ground. I did see Leotta's eyes open so that was cool.

POFQ was beautiful and we were definitely taken care of. I had booked a king room and requested a water view smoking. We were in 2326 corner room top floor of building 2 with a view of the Sassagoula.

I'll try to get more details posted on trip report of meals and stuff when I get some more time.

All in all I am now definitely ready to just live in the Magic Kingdom. Great trip, now I'm sad that it's over already.

Well things got kind of screwed up so he ended up doing it back at the hotel.

We went to Magic Kingdom on Sunday (our first day in the parks) for EM and were having a smoke break right beside the castle which is where he was going to do it.

Then I opened my big mouth and said we have to try to find that ring over at Haunted Mansion. He's also thinking that it will be like a nice pretty ring or something so he was going to propose there. Well the excuse for a ring in the ground was pretty disappointing and after that we left to go rest up back in the room.

So I didn't get my fairy tale proposal in front of castle ya know with fireworks and somehow every single soul disappears from the park and Mickey comes to congratulate us........ (I know keep dreaming) but at least he got down on one knee. I was so shocked anyway that he was finally proposing my mind was in a fog anyway!
