We absolutely LOVED the Poly!!!! When we first checked in they put us in Rapa Nui ( I had requested Tokelau )...........I asked about it and they said they had nothing in tokelau. so off to Rapa Nui we went, we go in and i inspect the room, and it looks DIRTY...........the tub had a few hairs in it, but the clincher was the chewed up gum on the bed headboad!! yuk. Then hubby opens the slider, and the handle broke off!!!!
so at this point, i was disappointed, so i went back to the front desk, and told them the problem with the room............the girl asked me where i would like to switch to, so i asked for Tokelau, she goes over to someone else, they talk i see him shake his head yes, and she comes back and says they can put us in Tokelau. ( i found this odd since just a few minutes prior i was told they had nothing in that building.)
SO anyway..............we move our stuff over to Tokelau, the room was sparkling clean, perfect. We had a garden view, which was beautiful, and looking off the balcony to the left we could see the lagoon.
so even though the first few minutes there were not great, the remainder of the stay was perfect. the mousekeepers did a fantastic job every day.
the pool was so much fun, my kids LOVED it, my dd loved the volcano slide, she was even named polynesian princess for the day one day, and got to go down the slide first and they took her pic and gave her a certificate, very cute!
it was great to boat to MK, so fast, and also the monorail, awesome being right there, and so super easy to get around..........we loved watching the boat parade, and the fireworks from the beach, that was so much fun.
We ate at Kona, and the food was very good.
The entire atmosphere there is so laid back, and beautiful, just walking around the grounds especially at night with those tiki torches, you just felt so relaxed,. Coming back from the parks all tired and hot, and jumping in that pool overlooking the castle, just wonderful.
my kids are already asking when we are going back!!! i think we will do 10 days or 2 weeks next time, 1 week didn't feel like enough. we all want to go back!!!
i will post some pics as soon as i unload my camera!
