Kendall and I returned from Orlando last night. We had a really nice trip. The weather was gorgeous. It was in the low 80's the first 3 days and then around 70.
We actually found our way around Orlando without getting lost! We visited our new home. It is coming along nicely. I will post a picture when I get them developed.
We spent a day at the high school that Kendall will be attending next year. Everyone was very nice. She was somewhat overwhelmed by the size of the school, but the kids seemed to be having fun. She had planned on taking Latin next year until she walked around. She's decided that Spanish might be a better choice! We were very pleased to find that all of her credits will transfer. In fact, she is ahead in some areas. I didn't think she'd have a problem. She carries a 4.0 grade point average and takes all challenge classes.
We both sat in on the school's concert choir class. They were really good. They were rated "superior" at contest recently. After class, Kendall auditioned. She was really nervous. When the teacher asked us to wait in his office, she looked like she was going to cry. She thought she'd blown it. She was so surprised when he came in and told her he definately wanted her in the choir next year. She was so happy!
I had made priority seating for Liberty Tree Tavern for Sunday night. I told them in advance that we would be celebrating Kendall's 16th birthday. When we got there, the table had ribbons and Mickey confetti all over it. The characters came over and made a big deal out of it. It was so funny when Meeko came to our table with a huge handful of confetti and proceeded to dump in on Kendall's head. At the end, they brought her a desert with a candle.
All in all, it was a great trip!
