Back from first DVC stay.....WOW! (warning...way too long!)

Gee, Granny, I too thought you were a long time DVCer and was surprised to see this was your first trip home. As a fellow Missourian, I've always looked forward to reading your posts.

Anyway, I'm really glad to see you had a great time!

We bought BCV in February and used our incentive stay 3 weeks ago at BWI and hope to have our first trip home to BCV in November.

I'm so happy that your trip was wonderful!! I love to hear about everyone's trips - thanks for posting!!

Our family knows all about the "stupid grin" thing - we wore them for the past 10 years during every non-DVC WDW trip and anytime at home that we were thinking about those trips. When we go "home" to BCV for the first time this September, I fully expect that "stupid grin" to become permanent...LOL!!

Here's to many more healthy, happy, grinning, magical trips!!

Now be sure to sample OKW TOO! BTW if they thought the 1 bedroom was great, wait until they see the two bedroom at OKW and can have their own room!

Diane....OKW is next on the list. Hoping to switch there for next Easter week (already have the ressie at VWL home) at the 7 month mark.

And DW and I talked about a 2BR, but know that if we ever do that, there is no turning back! Our DD's would be so spoiled, and DW was fantasizing over not having to share a bathroom with them (they are 11 & 13, so it'll only get worse).

DW even talked about getting more points so we could do the 2BR....what a difference a visit makes! She was lukewarm on the whole DVC concept but now is hooked in a big way. Funny how that works! :p

I forgot on my thread earlier this morning to add that on Thursday last week, they slipped a piece of paper under my door that said that they expected very large crowds at MK on Saturday (June 1) and that they would be letting WDW resort guests into AK and Epcot an hour early.

Saturday was the main Gay Day get together at MK so I'm sure it was packed.

Anyway, thought I'd pass that along.

Moderators...thanks for moving this to the end of my original thread. :) :)

'Welcome home Granny' we are happy that you had a great homecoming. We enjoyed your report.

ralphd :) :) :) :)

Hearing "Welcome Home" at the guard shack never gets old. DW and I get especially jazzed to hear it after a 10-hour drive to FL.

Granny...we are about to find out about the luxuries of a 2 bedroom soon! We will be in a studio at VWL the first half of out trip then a 2 bedroom at Vero the second half. (invited the in-laws and my mom). I have a feeling it will really spoil us!!!!

Can't wait to hear that "Welcome Home!!"
