BABYSWAP complaint and question?

if I'm supposed to transfer to a manual wheelchair (to go thru the queue - like for Space Mountain it says "Guests must transfer from motorized scooter or ECV to an available wheelchair, then from the wheelchair to the attraction/ride vehicle.") - will they let dh and ds3 come along, or will they have someone to push me thru the queue - I certainly wouldn't be able to do it myself??

Wow! Good question! Have you been to the disABILITIES board: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20 ? I would ask your question over there. I'm sure that others there have been in your same position, or traveled to WDW alone in a wheelchair. My guess is that they would allow you to "back-door" on a case-by-case basis.

I went on Expedition Everest again yesterday. This time, they did the baby swap totally different again. In addition to the other 3 ways it was handled at EE in the past, here's another. We went up to the entrance together. My son and his friend were going to ride first. The CM gave my son the swap pass and told me to meet them at the exit to get it from him. It's a good thing he had pockets, or he probably would have lost it.

thanks...i'll post it there. that's actually what I did when I was at DL by myself and when it was just ds4 and myself. They asked me if i could push myself thru the queue, and I said no, but my son really wanted to ride, and so did I. If the wait was going to be about 10 minutes or less I probably could have walked it, but they said to go to the exit. Then I had to re-explain it to the person at the exit - and they kept asking if I had a Guest assistance pass...I had to tell them No...I just can't push myself in a wheelchair thru the queue.
