Baby BOY Names.... (that haven't been used to death)

Our boys have traditional names: Edward and Philip.

We had these names on our list...I didn't want an overly popular name, but I think I may have ended up with one:rotfl2:

Oliver
Elliott
Liam (my favorite name, but sadly DBF didn't care for it too much)
Camden
Evan*our winner
Luke

My 9 yr old is Evan. When I had him I didn't know anyone else with the name and I had 2 older boys and they didn't go to school with any Evan's. Now mine is in 3rd grade and there are several other Evan's in his grade.

I obviously love Thomas, Michael and Daniel as we used those for our sons but I also love Jack, Richard and Everett.

DS19's name was suppose to be "Brad"ley Orion, but DH at the time and DDad pitched a fit about his middle name so his middle name ended up being Russell. I still call him Bradley Orion!! :rotfl2:

DD18 will be having a little boy in less than 11 days  and his name is Aaden. She is naming him that because she loves J&K+8 and Aaden is her favorite of their kids. His middle name will be Shell, named after his paternal grandfather that died about a year ago. Oh, this is me waiting on him to finally get here..... :rolleyes1:headache::dance3::scared1::rolleyes1: All at one time!!!

My two boys are Justin and Ryan. Justin is the only one in his school with that name-(he is 14). Ryan is a little more popular but we love that name. Good luck!!

Sorry OT here, but I have nephews named Dustin & Ryan. I have always mixed up names so I've been known to call them Rustin & Dyan (like rusting and dying). Thankfully I get it right most of the time.

Back OT, I like more traditional names for a boy. If we would have had another I would have used Benjamin Michael.

So OP...any of these help you out?!?!?!?!

DS is Parks Kent. Parks after my grandfather and Kent after DH and his dad. They both have Kent as their middle name. We know of very few other Parks' and he has NEVER had one in school with him. His high school has 1600+ students and he's the only Parks.

We named our son "Brogan".

It is a name we were going to choose, had our daughter been a boy, 7 years ago. When we were blessed with a second child, we wanted something different, but not "odd". It's Irish in nature, and I have never known anyone by that name. :)

My 3 boys are Griffin, Bennett and Grayson...hope it helps! None of them have nicknames either, we have always called them by their full names

Hello :wave2: I'm certainly here still reading. I'm just taking in all of these names. It is so so difficult, I never imagined it being this hard. Keep the names coming!!

My DS is Zachary....

...my youngest was ALMOST named Zachary, but we decided on Dylan Zachary instead....our other 2 DS's are Todd Christian and Jesse James (yeah, you read it correctly! ;) )....

I like more traditional names, like:

James
Robert
Thomas
Edward
Joseph
John
Michael (my son's name)
Charles
Matthew
Daniel
David
William

These names always work in my opinion. What I like about these names is that they work both for children and adults. Jimmy, Bobby, Joey, Danny, etc. are perfect when a boy is young and then he matures into his "grown up" name (or not :)).

Good luck!

i like
mason
jack
harley &
mackenzie
so many,nice boys names,to choose from,these days
tracy

I have a Liam (3), it was the ONLY name we agreed on, he nearly didn't even have a middle name.

I also like Kristian, Aaron, Daniel, Spencer (which my sister used on my suggestion :thumbsup2), Alex, Aleksander

It is such a hard decision to make....

I personally prefer family names.

DS7 is:

Jonas Grafton Dale *last name*

A mouthful. But, he's named after MANY people.

Then I have a:

Caleb Jeremiah
Alexander Jacob

I had no idea Alex was such a common name.

I like names that are good for kids, and great for adults.
Vincent is a favorite. Call be called that, or Vince.
Love the traditional names, many listed in posts above.

The "new" trendy pop names, not so much a fan.
I think the "en" names, Kaden, Caden, Jayden, Hayden, Layden...(any more?) are pretty maxed out.

I've always liked Samuel as a boy's name and that is my son's name. It's stong and traditional, but not too common.

I agree - you have to think about the child growing up and introducing himself as an adult. That is what lured me away from the 1 or 2 "trendy" names I was considering. And, of course, since Ryan is also an adult character on All My Children, it was ok. :thumbsup2 LOL

My boys are Harrison, Ethan and Liam. Had our DD been a boy, we would have used Thomas. We rarely hear any other Harrison. Ethan is a very popular name, but our E is 10 and not quite as common in that age group. Liam isn't too popular, but you do run into a few.

I think where you live makes all the difference on whether or not a name will be popular.

I love the name Vincent, but there are way too many of them in my family for me to consider it for my kid. I also like Matthew, but I know I'd call him Matty, and with a Madison who could end up a Maddy I think that is too similar.
