Baby BOY Names.... (that haven't been used to death)

Cade is cool...I believe its from the video game Mortal Kombat. (I have a daughter with the name Rayden from that video game...lol)

I've always loved Cade, but I think it's getting more and more popular. There's a character in Gone With the Wind named Cade Calvert - it's one of my favorite books.

My oldest son is Clay, and we've never heard a lot of those--could have something to do with where we live, though. I've been told that it's more of a southern name. He does get asked a lot if it's short for Clayton. Never liked Clayton, but love Clay--go figure!

My two boys are Justin and Ryan. Justin is the only one in his school with that name-(he is 14). Ryan is a little more popular but we love that name. Good luck!!

Justin is very popular with my younger kids' crowd, Ryan with them all. I have a Charlie, which is becoming more popular, and my sister has a Henry and Griffin, which, again, are becoming more popular.

I love the name Declan. I have only met one Declan in my life, and I just really like the name. I also like the names Jackson, Chase, Luke and Jake. If I ever have 2 boys they will probably be Declan Chase and Jackson Luke.

Good luck with your decision... let us know what you pick!

Lots of Declans, Lukes, and Jakes here!

Our Dgs are Tyler Robert and Ethan Patrick and we are expecting the 3rd grandson anyday now and his name will be Austin Michael. They are the joys in our lives. :)

Obviously I am a fan of the name Gabriel. We get so much positive feedback about it too. Whenever people ask DS's name and we say it's Gabriel people almost always gush about how they love that name. I love that it is classic, but has a cute "nickname" - Gabe.

I also love the name Jacob, but it is so popular right now.

I love the name Lucius ...we will see DH isnt a fan…he likes Bishop
Grayson would be the middle for either

my good friend is naming her son Charles Merick
after her grandfathers...always though Merick was just a cool name

I loved the name Reid for a boy when I was pregnant with DD but DH didn't like it. I still like the name. It is family name on my side.

If DD had been a boy, she'd have been Duncan. I love the name Charlie, too. I also like Alexander, Malcolm, Liam, Rowan, Ellery, and Sebastian.

For the most part, I don't like traditional names at all. I absolutely LOVE David Bowie, so for the longest time, I had my heart set on Bowie for a son. Or Jareth, his character from Labyrinth. I also really like Simon and Nigel...

Now, however, having lost a beloved cousin in January, should I have a son someday, I hope to name him Matthew.

My son's name is Archie. He is named after his grandfather and great-grandfather. Grandfather somehow wound up with the nickname "Joe" as a kid, so we call our son Joey for some reason. I guess if you are going to name someone after another person you do it the whole way!

BTW his middle name is Arlington. He knows what his real name is, but he likes being called Joey for now.

My son is named Rio. It is pretty rare (he has met one Rio in passing at a museum) but not unheard of (both DH and I knew one Rio each as teens). If I had ended up with two boys the other would be named Tristan.

Other boy names I like were:
Preston
Satchel (knew a couple of people named after the ball player. I could care lss about sports but I liked the name;))
Elija
Laurence (but not Larry)
Julian

My favorite boy names are:

Evan
Riley
Keenan
Nicholas

It took us forever to settle on ds' name because dh and I couldn't agree. One thing that I think helped was we searched our family tree and ended up using the name Evan which was my dh's great, great grandfather's name (who was a Civil War soldier).

Emmett
Elliot
Everett
Luke
Oliver
Jonah
Josiah
Lincoln
Noah
Fletcher
Gideon
Henry
Elijah
Miles
Oscar

We have a Patrick and a Sean. There are quite a few Patricks around here, but not too many Seans (at least not the same age as DS, we do know some older kids with that name).

We also considered Aidan, Owen, and Christopher.

Good luck and Congratulations! :goodvibes

I have a Ryan and to my surprise, we've only met one other so far. :) Lots of Brians though - which people often hear when I say Ryan. :confused3

DH has a very common last name, so we wanted names that were different.
We named our sons Roman and Bryce. For their middle names, we made a list of family names. We then practiced yelling them until we had a good fit.:lmao: So we have Bryce David and Roman Joseph.

I have a Ryan and to my surprise, we've only met one other so far. :) Lots of Brians though - which people often hear when I say Ryan. :confused3

I LOVE both Ryan and Brian. Unfortunately, our last name rhymes with those names, so we couldn't use either.

My 29 year old son's name is Bryceton and he's never had a nickname. I have never known anyone else who has it. My husband and I both have uncommon names and my son has also enjoyed having something unusual.
