Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

I'm adding you to the HaHa Club for August, along with some other of our longtime readers.
As in 'HaHa, we're at Disney World and you're not!'
I will be really wishing I could be with you guys at your meet.

VandyFan10 - You do want Hawaii Concierge, right? Maybe I better save quarters instead of pennies.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! :laughing:

Yes, for me, even standing at the bus stop is a thrill.

This is EXACTLY how I feel.....hubby, maybe not so much :confused3

We arrived at Magic Kingdom, and there were cute topiaries to greet us out front.

Thanks for the update :goodvibes:

I love the fish pic.

Another great update MeMom. Makes me wish it was August.

We're off to my hometown to see my old high school's production of High School Musical. Declan is going to be very surprised. His cousin says we have to sit in the front row because there is more room to dance.

Haven't caught up yet, but I'm enjoying all your trips!

I thought you might like this for your scrapbooking if you haven't already looked it up. You'll know the pic it goes with.

19. My Shadow by Robert Louis Stevenson - A Child's Garden of Verses

I HAVE a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.

The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow— 5
Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow;
For he sometimes shoots up taller like an India-rubber ball,
And he sometimes gets so little that there’s none of him at all.

He hasn’t got a notion of how children ought to play,
And can only make a fool of me in every sort of way. 10
He stays so close beside me, he’s a coward you can see;
I’d think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!

One morning, very early, before the sun was up,
I rose and found the shining dew on every buttercup;
But my lazy little shadow, like an arrant sleepy-head, 15
Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.

Very cute - just like Brooklyn's shadow picture.

Looking forward to more of your trips.

Then went to do a little shopping.

Just Lookin back over some pictures (i still have a lot of catching up to do cause i've lost my spot so many times)
I love Children's Place. I worked there for a few months. They have really cute children's clothes. When the time comes (in the far future) for me to have a child of my own i will definitley be shopping there.

great update and pics.

I love the fish pic.

Have you ever watched from Dumbo? It is crazy! Those fireworks are right on top of you and LOUD!!!

declansdad - How was HSM? DO they have careers at Disney World in the future?

AnnNan - That is the one. That's the poem I was referring to, but I couldn't remember much. Now that I see it, I remember it all. Practiced it over and over and over way back then!

Welcome to the trip report, too!

dancin_princess - Brooklynn is learning to shop from two experts in the field. We can do some shopping!!!

Jill doesn't get to be at a computer much, but I'm sure she'll get back to your reply when she can. She also buys a lot of Brooklynn's clothes at a really nice consignment sale in their city. She loves her bargains.

Nicole786 - We're in the middle of TCAP. You guys do FCAT; that's our TCAP, so you know how hairy things are during that time. That's one reason I think I'd like to move to second grade, since they don't do TCAP. I love third grade, but I'd like a break from the stresses of TCAP.

Actually, David does FCATS...I graduated high school in New York so we had the Regents...I get it though :)

Great update MeMom! I really like the "hidden door" picture with the CMs. I think it's cool to see things like that. :)

Ok MeMom know your busy but jsut had a share...

I decided to go back to day one and just read your TR (nothing else to do on this rainy day) So i got my earbuds in listening to disney word tunes on DIS radio when all of a sudden IM SLEEPING!!

I woke up...and I had a dream about you!! I dont remember any of the details, I just remember you were there and obviously it was something disney but it wasn't good because i wasnt happy!! Im gonna try and catch some zzzz's now and try and get back in the dream (yeah like that every works!)

Oh, I for surely only want to be in good Disney dreams!!!

Like maybe I get upgraded to the Poly for a few days of my trip, or I get to do the AKL Concierge morning safari.

Go back and fix things in your dreams, and don't wake up until they're better!

By the way, I put on Sorceror Radio or MouseWorld, etc. from Disney 365, too, while I'm Dising. It's so nice to listen to the music and look at pictures at the same time. It's as good as it gets out here in reality world!

I didnt know until just now that was such a thing as DIS radio!
I`m going to check it out now before I fire up the grill..:goodvibes
I ordered a Disney Park Music CD ,It has not come in yet..maybe this will hold me over..:cutie:

declansdad - How was HSM? DO they have careers at Disney World in the future?

They did a good job but I wouldn't be looking for any of them to be in the cast of HSM3.:)

The two female leads were good singers but the rest were a little shaky. The kids loved it and were singing and bopping along all night.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm not real talkative in person, but in writing, I can get too wordy. I'm trying to make this be more about the pictures and less about the comments, because that way everyone gets to re-live their own special moments at the places they've already been, along with sharing in what we did while we were there. Like with the pictures at Chef Mickey's. Anyone who has ever been there immediately can feel themselves back in their own special moments when they see our pictures. I tried to take pictures that would capture the clattering of the silverware, the music in the background, the smell of the bacon, the oohs and aahs of little children, the color of the surroundings. When I took my pictures, I was in my happiest place in the world, and I wanted to be able to be there again and again every time I looked at the pictures. I love looking at the pictures others take on their trips and being able to say that I've been in that exact spot! Or, if I've never been in that spot, I make plans to get there on one of my trips.

Still catching up...:laughing:

Looking at your pics and then reading the quote above made me remember the only time i've been to Chef Mickey's. :)

Thursday is my day off so I have to wait almost a week to get MeMom's updates. I would like to clarify a few things the old lady got confused on. The first sentence of her lastest installment stated "we had unloaded the car" I would like to remind her that I being the beautiful, sweet, loving daughter that I am unloaded the whole thing by myself!!!!! Also, she forgot to mention that Kay could not believe we were finding a place to watch Spectro an hour ahead of time. I will be at MeMom's this weekend so maybe there will be two updates this weekend. For all of you in the South be careful tomorrow with the crazy weather that is coming through.

True. Jill unloaded the car while I watched Brooklynn. But I did offer to help!

She lugged it in, and I separated it into groups according to where we were sleeping. Brooklynn crawled onto the bed by the door, so we dubbed that one hers and Jill's. Kay's stuff got put on the other bed, and my stuff went in the closet area, since I'd be in my own little corner over there on the inflatable mattress. I get the corner to try to keep the snoring a little further away from anybody else, and because I get up early. I need to be over there anyway to get up, ready, and out the door with as little disturbance as possible.

I will get more pictures up either tonight or tomorrow when Jill comes in. I think we're going to have an Animal Kingdom meal to honor the tenth anniversary of Animal Kingdom's opening, which is this month. There will only be the four of us (Jill, John, Brooklynn, and me), but it'll still be fun. If we do, I'll put up a picture of what we do.

Trent is headed to Louisville to see Kristi's games, and Drew only gives rare appearances on weekends. His group takes turns crashing at each others' houses, so he's either at one of their houses, or they're all over here. They like to travel on weekends to all of these huge bike tournaments, too.

For anyone who has not heard, Travel Channel is showing four new Disney shows on the next four Friday nights, starting tonight. At least, that's what they've been advertising. So, if you're interested in putting a little Disney magic into your Friday evening, tune in and see what they've got new.

Whew! We've been wondering when you were going to post again. I can't beleive it took this along. I mean; you being a teacher, you should have lots of time to post. :rotfl2:

Hi memom! Thanks about the headsup for the travel channel. I will DVR it and watch it over and over and over...:rotfl:
