Look at that cutie patooti! :cutie: Brookie, you are just so precious and I love your gorgeous Easter Dress. I hope you found lots of eggs!:lovestruc

QUOTE=MeMom;23973674]Precious girls! I hope you all had a wonderful day.
Sorry about no Disney tickets. Wouldn't that be the most awesome surprise?!?!
Not as sorry as me. We just went on our vacation for the year....two days in Lancaster.....nice....but not Disney! :)

While I am hard pressed to get a 99 cent burger at home, rarely do I do that, I have no problem paying $4.00 for a hot dog in Disney World. Why is that?[/QUOTE]
The Magic of Disney? :confused3

Your girls are just too cute! I love all the Crocs. Seeing all those girls made MeMom start talking about when she's going to get her next grandbaby.
He he he....that's her yob....to beget more grandbabies!

I am hoping that everyone can be there together for Thanksgiving Day, but we'll take what we can get, I guess.
Yaaaaaaa Thanksgiving at LTT sounds wonderful!!! :cool1:

I think I'm kind of stuck here, though. I have a secure job, and I do have the vacation benefits which many people don't have. Even with teaching summer school, I still have a long vacation. My house payment is low, because I've been here 21 years. So, it's best for me to stay here and just enjoy Disney as I do now, by going as often as I can. I would also be a bit afraid of spoiling the magic by working there, I guess.
You know its funny cause I pondered the same thing and came to the same conclusion. To pick up and go would mean losing a lot. And working for Disney may turn the Magic and Dream into something else....yikes :scared1: So I am going to wait and retire, then go lots!!!! And if grandbabies come along....all the more better! (yes I know that is improper English!)

Hi MeMom!! Hi Jill! :goodvibes I have read these entire 82 pages over the course of three days. What excellent details and stories you are telling. And what a beautiful family you all have! I hope you don't mind a straggler jumping in. :flower3:

I too, love Pop!! And also appreciated seeing the ASMu photos as I think we're going to try a family suite next time around.

We're always happy to have new readers. I hope the least 82 pages didn't damage your brain cells too much. At least my posts with all my silliness.

I hope you will enjoy All Star Music as much as we did. That's where we booked for Thanksgiving, since none of the guys have stayed there yet.

Now, on to tonight's installment.

After the safari, we walked through Pangani for a while.

disneypics122.jpg

We watched the gorillas for a few minutes.

disneypics124.jpg

disneypics125.jpg

disneypics126.jpg

There was some chaos going on amongst the gorillas. Several CMs were talking about one of them being upset about something. We didn't see any major action, but they (gorillas and CMs) were moving around a lot.

A bit of gorilla education for the teacher.

disneypics127.jpg

After that, Jill wanted to try to catch Lion King, and we were able to walk right in just a very few minutes before it started.

disneypics129.jpg

Sorry those pictures are not too great.

Then we stopped to see an old friend, one of Brooklynn's favorites. She went toward him, then turned away.

disneypics138.jpg

Then back again, but only for a quick hug and then away again.

disneypics142.jpg

Time to go to the well to fill the water cup.

disneypics144.jpg

A CM came by with a bubble machine. Always a hit with little ones.

disneypics147.jpg

We saw some hikers, and started to join them,

disneypics145.jpg

but opted for shopping instead.

disneypics148.jpg

Imagine that! I know you were thinking that scottny and declansdad. You men were thinking, "Those women and their shopping!"

Things we saw.

Then it was time to leave AK, find our bus, and go get into our room at All Star Movies.

tinkgurl and nicole786 - The first safari was okay, but the one to come is better. I really want to do the AKL sunrise safari someday. I want to be in a jeep that stops and let's me take a thousand pictures and tells me all about the animals. That would be so cool!

twob4him - That'll be heaven on earth - to be retired and get to go to Disney World with a lot of grandkids!

Everyone look out for everyone else's trip reports, so we can all get to know each other better. scottny, declansdad and pooksma, and nicole786 all have things going right now - trips finishing and trips on the way. Be sure to find their good reports and enjoy them. punkin413 has got a great countdown chart you have to see on her pre-trip. It is too cute! snowbell and glendamax are going back this summer, too. Gmax said she needed a little time away from the boards, but she'll come in with a great report in June, I'm sure.

Enjoy sharing with others the fun that we all have at Disney World. I know I look forward to each of your reports and pictures. Have a good weekend ahead!

great update and pics.

I love the Pangini trail.

FOTLK was great.

I like shopping just not hitting every store.

I am retelling my trip in July in the community board section now. some people wanted to hear it being they did not the first time around.

great picture! i could watch the gorillas for hours......they're so amazing to me!

i think you guys actually shop more than i do!!! but that's probably because when i'm with ray i'd rather forego the shopping than watch him stand there with his arms crossed and rolling his eyes, looking at his watch. :rotfl: this time since we're staying at SSR i think i'm gonna walk over to DTD a couple of those mornings i'm letting him sleep in to have some "me" shopping time. :cloud9:

I'm on page 8 of your trip report. I'm really enjoying it. I know I have a long way to go to catch up, but I will eventually.
We're going in August this year. We'll be staying at Pop. That's where we stayed in 2006 and loved it. It was our first time as a family to stay onsite. I stayed at the Contemporary when there was only MK and the Contemporary Hotel.
Anyway I'm thoroughly enjoying your reports. It's making it even more fun during the wait til our trip!!! Thanks for sharing !!
:thumbsup2

Love the safari photos! I wonder what was going on with the gorilla. Maybe he was just having a bad day? ;) I love to shop too so really enjoy those pictures!!

I don't mind the shopping at WDW so much, as long as it doesn't take over the trip. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the plug, we welcome all readers to possibly our Canadian perspective of planning.

(to declansdad): Did she just pimp our PTR????
Yeah MeMom!!!!!!!!

I love the pics of Brooklynn and declansdad's fav-Donald. I can just see that happenning and Donald patiently waiting for her to come back for a quick hug. Too :cutie:

This will be our first visit to WL. I tried to convince DH we should maybe stay there but he nixed that idea.

Thanks again for the plug and happy weekend to you too. We have skating (twice) and swimming this weekend. Last night was a b'day party.
Only 2 more weeks of classes and I'm done my MEd. :dance3: :teacher: Then the boards better watch out!!!:scared1:

The other stuff is: moleskin to keep blisters away, Germ-X, handi-wipes, Body Glide, mister fans with clips, toothpaste, Downy wrinkle spray (good stuff), generic Advil type pills, Tums, mosquito wipes in case we go to Ft. Wilderness or the Poly beach, Oxi clean stain stick, and tons of suntan lotion and lip balm for sun protection.

I've enjoyed your families trip report so far! I just started reading it the other day & just got to the above post. Where did you get the Mister fans with clips? We have regular fans but would love to get a couple of these. The size is perfect!

I also have to say that I love your themed meals. These are soo fun!

Hi MeMom!! Happy Sunday!
Your light is on! Does that mean we are going to be treated to another update. :hyper:

Welcome to the report! I hope you will continue to enjoy these past trips and the few that are yet to come. We enjoy sharing them.

Those were just Walmart finds. I think we only opened a couple of them, though. We used one for Brooklynn a few times. The grownups weren't so keen on them, but that's okay. I was just trying to help keep everyone cool.

SwansLoveDisney has a new pre-trip report going for Thanksgiving. Everybody go and read that. We will arrange to meet sometime that week and take a group picture. Wouldn't that be cool?

Welcome also,TCKK - I hope you'll enjoy the craziness around here. declansdad and pooksma are going in August, too! Maybe you guys will see each other. They will be the ones holding hands going at a slower pace and seeing shows and such without their bundle of energy with them. You'll clearly recognize them! :) pooksma will also look like the one who is real smart, since she'll have her higher degree and all. (I think we need to have a celebration party on the boards in two weeks when you finish up. Cheers to you for all the hard work you've put into that this year. Now, could you do mine for me?!?! I don't have time to do it, but I need to.)

I agree, scottny, Swans has got to see Lion King! The costumes and music are great. Some lead performers have better, stronger voices than others, though. It was on one of our holiday trips, but I don't remember which, that we had a group where two of the lead singers were absolutely out of this world strong and beautiful in their solos.

punkin413 - I know. I wish I could just stand and watch the gorillas longer, and the tigers, too. But, you always feel like you should get a few pictures and then move out of the way so others can see. Darn those other guests!

Yeah, you would enjoy getting in some alone shopping time. I know it's hard to enjoy it when the guys are hurrying you out, or being patient, yet really not being patient. You know, a little sighing, a little swaying, etc. They tell you to take your time, but they don't really mean it. They're trying to be sweet, though. Drew, however, can stand in a fishing aisle and look at all manner of fishing poles, string, wormy looking things, blood stuff that attracts fish, reels...and I'll be the one squirming. So, I do understand. Shopping alone sounds like a good deal.

Now, shouldn't you be going to turn up a Mickey head or something??? You are in the twenties, right?!?! :cheer2:

Lovemy3babes - I forgot to say I love your screen name. I love my three babes, too! They're big ole' grown babes, but they're still my babies.

I'm glad you like the shopping pictures. I enjoy coming back home and remembering all the cool things that are there to buy. Also, I am better off taking pictures of the stuff than buying it all!

We have friends who stayed in the Music suites, and it worked very well for them.

BrittBritt - Brooklynn was so cute when she saw Donald. She just grinned and pointed and snarled up her nose while we were in line, and then when she walked up to him, she turned straight back around. She really loves seeing the characters and has not been afraid of any of them. She actually does better with masked characters than she does with face characters. She's a little more unsure of them, since they're 'real people strangers'.

Okay, when we left off, we were leaving here

disneypics161.jpg

to go here.

disneypics162.jpg

We wanted to get our room number and put our stuff away, then go out for the evening.

We picked up a little snack..

disneypics164.jpg

Okay, okay. We picked up several little snacks. We were so happy to be there, the power of choice just eluded us, and we got it all!!!

Then it was off to the room. Here's the walk.

disneypics166.jpg

Past these pups.

disneypics167.jpg

disneypics168.jpg

Past the lockers.

disneypics170.jpg

Right in front of the Mighty Ducks pool, which I failed to take a picture of at that moment. There will be some later.

Into the room. Welcome home!!!

disneypics171.jpg

disneypics172.jpg

Take pictures quickly, before you bring all the junk in!

disneypics173.jpg

Yes, that's MeMom in the mirror, for all of you who love to point those things out. But the real question is, is that Zack or Cody on the TV? That's also MeMom's ever-present water bottle on the dresser.

disneypics175.jpg

disneypics176.jpg

The person in that picture is our friend, who looks somewhat alien-like in that picture. I guess it's the way she was moving, but that's a very not good picture. But it's funny, and she'll never see it, so I'll post it!

Brooklynn stylin'!

disneypics177.jpg

Okay, so I think I'm all done, and I'm checking for errors (and I ''prolly din't'' get them all ;) ) and I see carrieannie's post. So now I gotta go back and give her a shout out! Hey carrieannie! Not much of an update, but at least we're in the room now! You know how I am. I'll be squeezing in the last days of this trip when we're about to leave again in June. :sad2:

the resort looks nice.

is that you in the pic of the mighty ducks behind the bed?

Now, shouldn't you be going to turn up a Mickey head or something??? You are in the twenties, right?!?! :cheer2:

oh, don't worry about me.....i've been taking down the mickey heads daily! i'll have another update tomorrow probably. ;)

love the pics.....AS movies looks like fun. :)

Love your AK pics and ASMo room pics. Looks like another fun resort. The picture of Brooklyn with her sunglasses on is adorable.

MeMom, whats your favorite value hotel??

by the way, i loved looking at the bus station sign! oy, traveling to the beach club is not going to be fun at this park!
