Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Hey everybody who is heading to Pop soon - Enjoy your countdown and your holidays/after holiday time there. We love Pop Century. It is a good feel for us. Jill, Brooklynn, and I are staying at Music and Movies on our next two trips, but only because we want to stay at all resorts eventually, just to say we have. It'll be one and done, and then we're back to Pop. Our next thing will be adding a night or two on the end of a trip to stay in a mod or deluxe and try to stay at all of those at least one night. Just a goofy idea we have.

Glenda, I got your PM about your TV. Enjoy watching those Christmas specials! That looked like a nice TV and a good deal. I'll tell Jill and John about the DVC stuff. They go back and forth on it. They contemplate every few months or so moving back further north to be closer to family, so after they decide for sure what they're going to do with that, they'll think about DVC. If there is a promotion going on at the time they buy in, if they do, you can be sure you'll be the one to get the points as a reference. We'd do anything to help you out!

Kim and Lurrrv - Enjoy Christmas at WDW. wannago2disney, keep counting. It will get here, and you'll have a blast!!!

It's back to school for me today after a week of fun. Sadness. Oh well. it's gotta be done. I'll put more pictures up in the next 2-3 days. Have a good Monday!

So glad you had a good thanksgiving and a great trip. I love those pictures of Pop. I probably won't be staying there again since I decided to go the DVC route, but my cousins and I had a great time in July.

I leave in TWO days for my first trip to the Boardwalk. I cannot wait.

We arrived at Pop Century about ten o'clock last Saturday. We were happy to be greeted by Christmas decor.

I already smile when I walk into Pop, but these made the smile just a tiny bit bigger.

Loved the pics of the Christmas decorations....it must be sooooo exciting to see them in Disney....glad you had a great Thanksgiving! We did too! I didn't shop either but decorated instead. Here's a pic of my girls:

I also tried to book our Disney trip but when I went to AAA the system was down or something Oh well, my friend and I are going to try this Friday...so basically we are a year and a week away from our trip!!!


I am so sad this trippie is coming to an end....I really love your trip reports and your loverly family! Please keep us posted!

twob4him - You are SO blessed to have those three beautiful girls! I know they are just buzzing with excitement about the upcoming Christmas holiday. Please post another picture of them at Christmas with all of their treasures!


Our first stop was Magic Kingdom, of course.

I took this picture to show my kids at school.

Our first ride was Haunted Mansion.

Then we went to see if Mickey had begun decorating his house. He had.

We rode the Barnstormer. 30 minutes of waiting for 17 seconds of ride, but it was something we hadn't done in a while, so it was fine.

Trent wanted to drive the Speedway. He did not follow the rules, because he bumped me. He thought it was quite funny. Funny, funny Trent.

We ate at Columbia Harbour House. Trent and I had tuna (Anchors Aweigh, I believe it is called), and Drew had clam chowder and a sandwich. He liked the chowder.

Hey Mom! Love the pics! You are making sooooo excited about my trip! Now if I only knew what to pack!!!!

Thanks for posting all of these great pics!...My son (4) is bouncing all over the room, talking a mile a minute...he was looking over my shoulder while I was getting all caught up and when he saw the pictures he went wild He is soooooo excited! but so are we all!

After clam chowder....there was a parade! I had never watched it from this spot before, so it seemed different. I've always done my parade watching, day or night, from Main Street or pretty close to it, so I enjoyed watching from back in Frontierland.

Good morning! Just thought I'd help us all welcome in December and begin our Christmas countdown with this picture from Magic Kingdom from two weeks ago today. I can't wait to see it again in another 25 days, but I know it will be PACKED the next time I am there.

Maybe I'll put my tree up today. My tree is nowhere near as nice as this one, but that's okay. Mine is a little four-footer that would make Charlie Brown proud. It has been in a back room (that we now use as a big closet) all year long. It still has the decorations on it. Pitiful, I know, but that's how it was this year. I'll add a couple of new ornaments, and it'll be good to go. Everyone enjoy your Saturday!

I love Charlie Brown trees, they need love too. I did not put up a tree last year and may not again this year. who knows.

I go down in 48 days and now I am going back for free dining (if they have it in Sept.) it is so exciting. That trip will be at a deluxe hotel. I am thinking Beach club.

Random pictures from the afternoon at Magic Kingdom:

This was the third time I had tried to get a picture at Cinderella's Well. In the summer, it was roped off for painting. In October, the whole walkway was boarded up. This time, it was open and finished.

The castle before the lights being turned on for the evening.

After the guys had headed to other places, I watched this cute show.

That's it for tonight. It is a cool, rainy day here, but Christmas lights up and down the street brighten the evening. Looking at these pictures and remembering the fun the boys and I had brightens my day, as well.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the pictures. I like taking them with the mindset of not only getting the usual stuff, but also some that are different and off the beaten path, unusual angles, and pictures that you might very few people think to take that still represent Disney.

snowbell - I just went to my PM, then to Edit Signature, and then I typed in the title and address. It won't be hard to do.


Now here are a few from the evening of November 17th, Saturday, to close out the day at Magic Kingdom.

A funnel cake, which I ate the crispy edges off of. It was so good, but way too much for one person. The hot, crispy outside and warm soft inside and powdered sugar...yummy!

Christmas was in the air, and I am looking forward to seeing it in full bloom at the end of the month.

There's this little parade called SpectroMagic that I like to see. I have a copy of the CD, and sometimes I'll play it in the car on the way home. It makes my ears happy! Do you have happy ears when you listen to Disney music?

And then it was back to Pop Century for some shut eye. Trent had already purchased his ear plugs so he wouldn't have to hear my atrocious snoring. Not the wimpy kind. He got some that were supposed to drown out airplane decibels, so I guess (I KNOW) I'm pretty bad!

I took these two on the way to the room.

OKay, done for tonight. I've got to tend to some barbeque chicken.
