Deep breath MeMom!! It'll be okay!!!! Breathe in, breathe out!!!
I love your comment ... "a day in Disney is better than a day at work, right???" To which I say ...
We turned off the panic switch pretty quickly, thankfully. Lesson learned: I will always have a calendar in front of me when discussing any future Disney plans.
See, even after half a century, I'm still learning. That's good, because in almost all of our workshops, they talk about being
lifelong learners. They'd be so proud of me!
Also, as far as Flame Tree, I've had the chicken before. It was good, but on this trip, that big plate o' fruit belonged to me! I shared with Brooklynn, of course.
Hoop De Doo will be dooed...I mean, done....by us someday, I suspect. On one of our trips where I'm sure everyone in the group can go, I'd like for us to do that. I think it would be fun to do when we have a few grandkids to whoop and holler with.
moparop - It did feel special to be on that last trek. We saw several trucks and CMs around the savannah as they fed the animals and gathered them in. I really want to do the backstage tour of AK someday. Trent and Jill checked into staying Concierge at AKL and doing that sunrise safari, but it was way too much for us!
punkin413 - We've seen him awake sometime, but we've never seen him pacing like he was. It would have been better if we had filmed, because the pictures don't even really show how much he was moving.
Is it crazy that we got excited about seeing a lion pace?
Naah!
I mean, he is
our lion.
Our Disney lion on
our Kilimanjaro Safari.
Of course we'd be excited!!!
declansdad - No, we weren't stopped, but the driver was nice enough to go very, very slowly at certain points. I want them to stop at every animal for three minutes and let me get good pictures.
And then I want them to stay there for another three for me just to watch the animals in action for a while. I'm sure the folks in the jeep behind us (or the thousands of people standing in line) wouldn't mind!
caralyn817 - They were just marching all together and headed straight over the bridge. Sort of reminded me of the elephants in The Jungle Book!
hlrababy - I think you will be able to meet up for a little bit. You guys can just get to know each other on the boards a little until then so it'll feel comfortable when you meet in person.
TCKK - 9 more work days! That is sounding pretty good. It would sound even better if they would get the air conditioning unit fixed. We were dripping wet and miserable yesterday. The assistant principal brought around popsicles to help cool the kids down. They were working on the unit when I left yesterday, so hopefully they fixed it. It definitely prepared me for being hot in WDW lines.
Lovemy3babes - Jill is a faker! The little girl in front is the real thing! It is a good picture.
Our friend, Kay, very much enjoyed her double dose of the ride. She was giggling when she came off of the ride with Jill. I'm sure it was much more fun to go through it correctly than to go through it being shaken like a milkshake for ten minutes in the middle of it like the first trip.
megablocks - I'll be playing with a new camera this time, so we'll cross our fingers on what I might come up with one the safari or anywhere else.
By the way, zebra behinds and blurry pictures - we do those, too!!!
