Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

I love those detailed photos! I usually don't take my time through these sort of things, time to slow down in August!

Hi MeMom, We are going October17-20th. (the 20th is my 41st birthday)
We are going for a Dis meet, with about 14 other wonderful friends from around the country! Scott is coming also!

I saw Jills dates a few pages back. too early,,I wouldve loved to meet them!. :goodvibes

While I've got you on the line, can you tell me what you think of the Panasonic TZ5 camera and the Canon D50 (I think). I've got to get a new camera in the next week or two, and these seem to be the popular choices among the point and shoots.
[/COLOR]

Memom....quick response here b/c I'm off to bed

The camera all the pics were taken with on my christmas TR is a Panasonic FZ8......it is a 12x zoom and a little larger than the TZ5, but they have mostly the same menu and choices for 'scenes' when taking pictures

The one I got was the FZ18, which is the same line just with a 18x zoom.....and I do love it!!

I think they are all in the $250-350(I got my FZ18 for $300) price range

You can PM me with questions if you have any and I will try to help! :goodvibes

23 days, 21 hours, 23 minutes!!!

Jill said Brooklyn removed a Mickey head from the countdown calendar this morning to see a picture of her riding the humongous ant at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground (from last summer).

Brooklynn sang Hakuna Matata for me this morning before she went into school. It sounded something like this,

"Kuna tata, wunnel phase,
Kuna tata, pasching chaize."

It was very sweet, and I wanted to jump through the phone and kiss all over her chubby little cheekers! I am so blessed to have my three kids and that precious little girl! Everybody go grab your little ones or somebody you love and give them a big old squeeze hug this morning in place of the one I couldn't give Brooklynn.

Gotta go meet the summer schoolers. It's nice having groups of eight kids instead of twenty. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the pictures, they make me want to jump in the car and go see Mickey.
I promised my husband we would go to the beach this year, but I might have to break my promise. Mickey is calling.

Are those real tomatoes? I didn't see those last time. Super cool! And sweet little Brooklynn snoozing is just adorable. :thumbsup2

the 28th is Friday.. At this point it looks like we will be in Epcot at the same time... :cool1: i did the CP in 06. it was beautiful. This past year I enjoyed listening as I was walking by.. Neil Patrick Harris was the narrator. I just love him.

Good Morning Mom and Jill! I only have one more day to go! :dancer:

Since I'm sooo behind on your report, I thought I'd go back to the beginning to see how it all started. I saw that some people came over because I sent them the link. So . . . um . . . where's my Disney dollars, and my over-priced Disney T-Shirt you owe me . . .

Good morning all! So today is my day off and I have come to the library to let you all enjoy our last Disney party. Our theme was Toy Story in celebration of Toy Story Mania opening. So here we go.

MeMom had decorated the table with Potato Head, a telephone and barrel of monkeys. She also found Lego shaped fruit snacks. We had to take the pictures quick because Brooklynn kept stealing stuff off the tables to play.

You know what makes a great background for a Disney party? An appropriately themed Disney towel.

If you are going to have a party that brings you happiness you should definitely have these.

While the big kids (me, JOhn, Trent, Kristi, and Memom) played Disney Pixar Monopoly, Brooklynn enjoyed watching Buzz and Woody on TV.

By the end of the night Brooklynn was zonked.

The next day was our mini Dis meet so here is my copy of the picture.

A few random pictures of the little girl being immersed in the Disney way of life.

She had the Mike stuffed animal which she calls Michael and drags around everywhere. I really wanted to get her the giant Sulley but he was like $50 so I waited then sad news came that my Disney Store is closing. The good news everything is on sale. So every few days I went to see if the price had been reduced. They had 5 Sulleys when we went Saturday and they were $27 so I decided to wait. I went by Monday when I got off work and they were down to two Sulleys so I bought him for $27. Brooklynn carried him out of the store which was hilarious because he is as big as she is. She took him home and sat with him and Michael and watched them on the tv.

We are going to Disney World this month!!!!

As Memom said I made a countdown calendar. Here it is...

DSC07619.jpg

When Brooklynn flips up the number there is a picture from one of our other trips. I had a lot of 2x3 pictures that I didn't use in our scrapbook.

Brooklynn loves flipping the number up. #25 was Magic Camel (Magic Kingdom), #24 was Brooklynn riding the ant at Honey I shrunk the Kids playground, and #23 was a picture of the zebras on the 'fari. We have started packing our Disney box to ship down with snacks, diapers, and other things.

John wanted to know if I was going to do another calendar with the rest of the days until our trip when he saw I started with 25. I looked at him kind of funny. He asked was I just going to wait until we reached 25 or was I going to make one counting all the way down. I informed him that the next day was 25 days until we left. It took me taking out the calendar and showing him for him to realize we are that close.

Hope you all have a great day!

BrooklynnsMommy I love all the new pictures. Your Toy Story Mania party looks like fun. We may have to try something like that at our house. Your countdown calendar is so cool. :) and I love the pictures of your DD watching the Disney movies with her stuffed animals. What a cutie :cutie:
Thanks for sharing!!

Great Pictures Brooklynn's mommy... Your countdown calendar is so creative. The big thing that I did for my trip tomorrow is buy ponchos for my Mom and Aunt... lol
Hopefully I will be meeting you and the whole gang over the Thanksgiving holiday. I can hardely wait.

I just love the Toy Story party! that is sooo cool!! You have such great ideas. The calendar is just toooo cute!!! Good Job!!

That Toy Story party looks like a blast! The calendar is such a neat and fun idea. Perfect for little ones! It's also an awesome idea for using up all those extra scrapbooking photos!

Good Morning Mom and Jill! I only have one more day to go! :dancer:

Since I'm sooo behind on your report, I thought I'd go back to the beginning to see how it all started. I saw that some people came over because I sent them the link. So . . . um . . . where's my Disney dollars, and my over-priced Disney T-Shirt you owe me . . .

Happy Birthday!!! :bday:

Pick you out a t-shirt that you like on your trip and charge it to me. They ought to know me pretty well down there after this past year! ::yes:: (Green smilie to match the $$ I've given them!)

Mickey needs a new contractor. It doesn't look as if much work has been done since last summer.

That's something like projects around my house that get started but never finished. However, in my house, the kitchen, of all holy rooms, would not be left in a condition in which I could not cook or bake. My two hunger monsters would see to that! They would at least clear a path from the stove to the table for me. They're real kind like that...when it comes to food.

VandyFan - I ended up getting the Canon S5. That's as much as I can spend right now on a camera. I'm just going to hope for magic things to happen to some of the probably 1500 pictures I plan to take.

We stole the countdown idea from Dawn, because it was so good. I think it's neat that Jill had plenty of pictures from other trips to do it with.

micandminforever - I though about you when I took the picture of that license plate!

Jill has been in mourning over her Disney Store, but hopefully the one here at Opry Mills is staying open, which means she'll come here more often for a Disney fix! ;)

Lovemy3babes - Yep, those are the real McCoys! I would love to have stuffed some in my bag to bring home, but I never would have dared to lean over the rail to touch them! I would have been fearful of the Disney Security: Plant Protection Division! MeMom would not look good in Mickey head shaped handcuffs!

snowbell - Have a fabulous trip! We'll look forward to hearing about it, and we have a Dis meet written in stone for November 28th.

I just told Jill yesterday I had to go get ponchos. We didn't need them for the October, November, or December trips. Not even March. But we will this summer!

TCKK - It was fun to have everyone together. Even Drew gave us the honor of his presence for a while. While the food lasted, that is. He bolted before the game board came out.

The Toy Story stuff is just so cute, isn't it? I think I may decorate my window at Pop with TS stuff. Since we're flying, I can only bring a little bit of stuff, though.

jacobsmom00 - Isn't she the creative one? She's having fun opening them with Brooklynn each morning.

moparop - You got a new family picture in your signature. I love it! Look what it made me do to your name!

I hope I didn't miss anyone. I'll look a little closer later, and feel free to write and chastise me if I did, but right now I'm going to fix some chicken and dumplings and dressing.

I just bought a Canon Power Shot A720IS. It's smaller than my Kodak and it has a shutter lens that closes when you turn it off so that means I can throw it in my bag when I'm not using it. It only has a 6x zoom, but DH will carry the Kodak with the 10x zoom so I can still get some close-ups when needed. I hope you will enjoy your new camera.

Yep, that sure did look like fun. I'm thinking we're going to have one of those here soon.

I told DH what you were fixing for dinner and he wants to know what time we should be there. :rotfl:
