Happy Saturday everyone! It. Is. POURING here. On top of the foot of snow we got the other day. It's good in that a) it's not more snow, and b) it's helping to melt the snow....But once it freezes tonight? Blech! Talk about an ice-fest. I have a friend who lives in far northern KY....he said yesterday that the tornado that hit southern IL and did so much damage (it was in the news) was headed straight for them, but either split up or lifted, and they ended up in the debris cone.....He said he had insulation, roof shingles, wood pieces, etc. all over his yard. VERY thankful he and his family were ok.

These storms have been crazy, I'm glad we haven't had any of the bad weather here.

Yeah... yesterday's storms were awful. A town in southern Indiana was wiped off the map.

I was on FB with people from touring plans and a couple of them were in the thick of the storms. One gal's daughter was at school and a tornado jumped over the building.

So hard to believe.

I'm so cold. It's 56 in my living room. The wood stove in the cellar helps warm up the original part of the house which includes the kitchen and dining room. It's warmed up to 60 in there so far. I'm ready for spring b/c being cold is getting old.

Confession time...

Shot the sectional championship game for my high school and while I sat at the pub, I had an uberdork moment. I tried to remember what the lighting was like in the gym we'll be at next weekend and I could not, for the life of me, remember.

Then I remembered why I didn't remember. I had my gall bladder out the weekend of regionals last year.

Then I wondered... should I skip the game and let someone else go? I don't want to cause the team to lose because I'm bad luck...

Then DH told me to snap out of it and stop being dumb.

You don't give yourself enough credit! You've taken some great shots. I think we all have our own niche when it comes to photography. I've taken some stunning landscape/nature photos, but I can't shoot people or action worth beans. Just don't have the eye for it.

I can't help but be superstitious. Heck, my dad wears a sweatshirt he bought in 1991 - the year our girls won the basketball tournament (before we separated our schools by size). He wears it every year for luck - only for the tournament.
