After waiting for almost three weeks, I got the call today.

I have an interview tomorrow.

Legomom--Here's the down-low. The county where I work has had 3 school districts in the past, but due to budget restraints we are currently undergoing a consolidation process. As part of the consolidation, all district office positions must be re-applied for. Here is the issue: although I am the only person qualified for the job I hold on the district level, and although I am the only person countywide who holds my position, I have to not only reapply and interview for it on the county level, but anyone who wants to in the county can apply for it. It really is quite frustrating, but I am in high hopes tomorrow, because all interviews that will be held tomorrow will be every 15 minutes, whereas every other interview has been for 40-45 minutes. They either already have their decision made and are just going through the ropes for me or they have their decision made and they just don't want to put me through too much. The positive is my current supervisor is making the decision and she and I get along well.

Note the lack of "good".

I'm actually home sick today. I have an epic head cold and have not slept well at all for 2 nights now (last night was the worst). It's hard to sleep sitting up, and laying down at all just packs my sinuses. Then when I would doze off, I would wake up coughing from a dry tickly throat, so hard I had tears flowing. CARP!!!!!!

Anywho! I'm DIS'ing and listening to Live365. I expect to spend a good part of the day reading (I've started Walt's biography on my Nook!). If I'm lucky, maybe I can catch a few winks.
