Good morning. It's 33. Just warm enough that it's raining now instead of snowing. Cold and damp.

Today is the day I was supposed to work all day. Then she called her mother to come for the day. Gee, thanks. I only worked 1 day this week.

Hope everyone has a good Friday.

Can this lady not afford to pay you? Is she just being cheap? What would she do if you found a job and couldn't help her out when she has a whim? With how she is, I'd start trying to find something more reliable.

not afford to pay me.... Believe me when I tell you that is NOT the case. FAR from it. She would be screwed if I found something else. I am keeping my eye out. Maybe she is banking on the fact there is not much out there and figures I won't have much choice. Ugh!

I hope you do find something else. She deserves to be left in the lurch like she's done to you so many times. How very thoughtless of her. I'm sure she's aware that is your only job and you aren't doing it out of the goodness of your heart.

Thank you. Oh yes, well aware. She knows we are struggling and knows my husband has been laid off and that our groceries were coming from what little I make. Thankfully my husband started back to work Monday. That means this coming Monday he gets PAID! It will take a little while to get back on our feet, but it will be ok. His company said they would 'make it up to him' whatever that means. No details were given and nothing has been said about it. Maybe that was just what they said to him when they laid him off so it wouldn't seem so bad at the time.

Been trying to get into this year's basketball tournament but I just can't...

School was rough today. Had to send two kids home and it wasn't pretty.

Luckily we have a 3 day weekend.

I offered up my services to the high school athletic department to shoot the stuff they sell so they can post it online and hopefully increase sales. Right now they are using a 3rd party site and it's just no good.

It won't be anything exciting - just a bunch of product to help boost sales. I'm aiming to get some done on Monday on our day off from school. Hopefully I can get quite a bit done so I don't have to go back.

It's just another step in a shameless attempt to secure an exclusive contract with them down the road.

I've got to get in gear and start getting everything ready for my DD's 6th birthday party (actually birthday is Tuesday.) I have to put the goodie bags together, pick up the cake, cupcakes, and balloons, then spend the afternoon with 15 kids between the ages of 2 and 15 at a bouncy castle place. Luckily, it has a party room for the adults to sit in while the kids bounce and play.

I'm already pooped out and I never got to celebrate St. Patty's day. I should make myself a green drink then pass out in bed. A child's birthday party is exhausting. At least it wasn't at my house. The bouncy castle place we went to sets up all the tables, food, drinks, then cleans it all up. We even had a party room for the adults to hang out in while the kids played (and ran to when they needed a drink.) I was a little upset that we couldn't bring our own drinks in then they charged us $2.50 for a cooler of water and 75 cents for each juice box. I got cheap and only brought out the juice boxes during cake so the kids didn't take a few sips, leave it on the table when they went to play, then grab a new box. The place also charged $7 for a bowl of chips. That is one money maker there. But it was worth it to avoid buying all the stuff myself and having to do it at my house, in my pool.

LAME!! Wow. That's worse than Disney food! But yeah, with that many kids, you'd still be cleaning up at your house and not be able to make that nice green drink and flop into said bed.
