I should get back into the Amazing Race, now that we basically only have the network channels. I used to love it and never missed an episode. Think I might tune in!

I think you should. :thumbsup2

So I'm mulling over the decision on whether or not to go for the Tower of Terror 10-miler Race this fall. DH has said I should go for it, which is a nice sentiment but I'm trying to determine if I can actually afford it, in real life. Registration opened today and I have the money for that. The price starts going up incrementally after the end of March. SO tempted but that fee is non-refundable so I really need to know I'm going before I hand it over. I think it's the airfare that scares me the most.....everything else I can pay off in small chunks. This is where I wish I had a credit card (not to throw the entire trip on it, but for things like airfare. Then again, that could be dangerous....:rotfl2:).

Guess what I got for Valentines Day? ......Bullets......lots of bullets.:rotfl2::woohoo: And yes, I'm really excited about them. :rotfl:

Got my gun painted to.

Smileybug YOU are my new "sisterhood" sistah!!:thumbsup2 (It used to be daisyyy, but she's not around much anymore....:sad2:). That's an amazing Valentine's present!! I cannot wait until we can get back out into the woods a bit. DH has a .22, but alas it sits locked in its case in our room. Firing it within the town limits would be frowned upon.:rotfl:

Had to come back and correct this. I got ammo. Lots of ammo. A bullet is the part that separates from the casing and leaves through the barrel of the gun. :) I have reloading on the brain. :upsidedow

I'm alright. Really been missing my mom lately, having a tough time with that.

:lmao: Whatever floats your boat! pirate:

I'm really sorry that you are having a tough time of it right now. Time does heal.....but those glancing moments ........:sad1:

Its things like this that is the reason I have connected with shooting the way I have. When shooting.... the world goes away.

And it really does float my boat!! :lmao:

....it's good to be back. My youngest DS, Dylan, went home early on Friday; we wasn't feeling well. He pretty much stayed in bed all weekend, but on Sunday evening came downstairs into the kitchen, where he told me that he felt like he was going to faint. No sooner than he stated that, he turned ashen and dropped backwards, hitting his head on the tile floor! Needless to say, we all rushed to him, putting a cold compress on his forehead and back of his neck, and gave him some Gatorade to drink. Well, we took him to the Pediatric Emergency Room at Hackensack Hospital, where I wound up spending the next 2 days with him. Thankfully, he is home now - the doctor's instructions were that he remain home today and no gym or strenuous activity for a week....

....after almost 3 hours in the ER, they were gonna release him, but he had to 'pass' urine. When he went to the bathroom, accompanied by the nurse, he passed out again in there too. They quickly put him in a wheelchair to bring him back to the room and he vomited all over the floor. Several people around him really panicked because it was all red, but my DH yelled that it was only fruit punch Gatorade...so, they immediately sent him for a CAT scan...

Wow.... So did he end up with a concussion from the fall? I know ya'll must have been frantic over the whole thing. I am so glad he is home.

kimmar -- .....just,:hug::hug: WOW. Hope he's doing much better at this point.

Thank you very much, hon. I appreciate the support.

Whatever makes you happy, as I said. I need to find some kind of distraction like that. I have things I like to do, but nothing is fitting right now.

 It does get easier with time. Holidays and special dates are always the hardest.

Thank you. :goodvibes It is hard, hopefully we can have a more normal week.

Kimmar, I hope everything is okay.

So we finally decided on a condo and turns out the owners live in Scotland..... I'm not worried about them being on the up and up (the rental is through a large accredited database of rentals, that also offers trip insurance) but they only do checks/money orders and I'm worried about dong snail-mail business that has to go overseas. There's too much room for delay there. Plus, how much is it going to cost me to send 2 or 3 letters over there?! What if we have to call them? I'm just not comfortable about it.

Ugh.

Back to square one. I'm still considering our #2 and #3 choices, but everyone loved the community this one was in. I did manage to find a couple of other condos for rent (by different people) in the same complex so maybe one of those will work out.

C'est la vie! :upsidedow
