Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

That would be some SERIOUS cool!! I would love to meet you over there! I've so enjoyed all your TRs, I feel I "know" you, but there's nothing like a face-to-face. :chat:

No promises at my end. It all depends on your dates and whether I can swing it from here. ;)

But yes, it would be good to DisMeet.

None from here, either!! It's a huge question mark right now if we'll be able to do this at all, and if we do, which resort it'll be. While I'm getting all giddy over DLR, I have to stop and remember that I've got two WDW 4-day Park Hoppers sitting unused in my MDE account, not to mention a Memory Maker package..... :( There are some serious reasons to keep a trip in FL.

I wonder, though -- and anyone feel free to chime in here -- am I stuck NOT doing a package (i.e. Free Dining) if I want to use the tix I already have?? I'm pretty sure they changed the rules on that some time ago, and everyone has to have the same thing to get the offer. So I'd have to continue a la carte if I want to use them.....?

Seeing that we're sharing pictures....

Conditions were favourable for a little Aurora spotting this week. Not visible to the human eye; but this is what I tweaked on the camera.

....ya know, I never really thought about the Aurora Borealis being in the Southern Hemisphere...I always thought of it as being able to be viewed in northern Canada and in Alaska....

Your geography is correct. Aurora Borealis is Northern Hemisphere.

My Aurora is Australis. She teases us in the Southern Hemisphere.

.....that's because the filaments in your light bulbs keep getting loose from being 'Down Under'.....:lmao:

....I have watchacall a 'steel trap' for a mind.....in all my years of school, I have never heard of Aurora Australis....of course, unfortunately, in general, we never really learned much about the history, geography, and whatnot about Australia....well, not much more than we were taught that England sent its 'castaways' to Australia and that Australia's original inhabitants were the Aborigines.
....not much to go on, if ya ask me....

Never too late to learn more. :thumbsup2

There's over 45,000 years of Aboriginal history...and about 220 of White Settlement history for Australia.

And as for the A Australis.....well...don't feel too bad. Even the Washington Post thinks only penguins get to enjoy it!

....penguins aren't into that sort of thing.

Well look at you two all chatty up there!!! Dang and I missed it. :badpc:

Nothing fun or interesting to report in from here. PiO, beautiful pic of the balloon glow! We have a festival around here every summer but I've only gone to it once.
