YAY for BoG and for starting your dream job. Is it as dreamy as you hoped?

It's as amazing as I thought it would be. I have a B.F.A. in Painting, and I've only ever held one job related to producing art for a living. Everything else has been jobs that pay the bills (like retail).

I was just hired as a painting instructor at an art center to do those social paint nights and kids birthday parties. So I am getting paid to paint. And talk. I feel like I'm cheating them somehow. For example, this week, I went in on Wed / Thurs evenings, no one had signed up for the paint socials, so I painted for three hours each evening. And got paid. I mean, pinch me, I must be dreaming.

One of my friends related to me that Confucius quote, choose a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life, and that's exactly how I feel right now.

Thank you. I went to a walk in yesterday and got assessed, so that is good. I've started talking some recommended over the counter stuff and I'm hoping it will kick this out of my system. I can deal with congestion etc, but it's the dizziness that's killing me. It comes up suddenly during the day or when I lay down / get up from bed, so I think it's an inner ear thing. Hopefully treating the congestion and other symptoms will help that go away.

Thank you! The Mucinex is certainly knocking the congestion out. I cannot wait to wake up in the morning and not be dizzy any more. Contrary to popular belief, channeling my own inner Sparrow by stumbling about is not normal.

Rainy, foggy mess. Check! Sulu Kitty woke me up last night to let me know it was pouring outside. We had frog stranglers and gully washers off and on all night, and Sulu woke me for each one. I ignored DH's 3:30 am suggestion that Sulu should begin his swimming lessons in the pool pronto.

The rains refilled our newly drained back to normal level pool, so I'll head outside and drain it again once it's a little lighter outside. It's quite dark, foggy and nasty looking out there right now, and I'm not coordinated enough to juggle an umbrella and a flashlight. Ugh!
