"Babe, I Messed My Pants..." An Oct 2013 TR - FINAL UPDATE! Added 5/24

Oh gosh! That is so awful! Your neighbor does sound like a nightmare and I really fee sorry for her daughter!

Glad that the property association did something and it sounds like things are moving there. I will second what people have told you and go to the police if the property association doesn't wind up kicking her out. I totally get where you are coming form as far as fearing retaliation but the Police can protect you.

Definitely sending thoughts and prayers your way! Definitely try to focus on what positives you do have (the wedding - that you found someone you want to marry ... Disney!) ... oh, and never be afraid to vent. I have learned that from 10 years of marriage that sometimes people just need to vent!

Oh Ali :( I'm so sorry about everything! That is absolutely brutal so I don't blame you for not being around. That being said, I'm glad you have the Disney wedding to look forward to, and I hope things start looking up soon

Thanks, guys! I swear, knowing that there is so much emotional support out there is my favorite thing about the DIS! :grouphug:

Of course, even though my neighbor knows I complained AGAIN about her...it has done exactly nothing to stop her from being what she is. She was out in the parking lot last night (which is directly outside our bedroom window) screaming at someone. She was upstairs stomping around all night and then again this morning. I just can't wait until she's gone! I do feel awful for her poor daughter though. It just makes me feel terrible knowing that a three year old will be kicked out of her home because her mother is a total defect. And worse, is that the kid is now starting to pick up and mimic her mother's behaviors. :worried: It's really just a travesty. She's such a cute little thing.

Thanks again for the kind words! It really means a lot!!!

"Dude... I Can't Eat Anymore!"

Today was Resort Day 2 of 3.

Although we did not spend any time actually at the resort. :rolleyes1

And I didn't take any notes so let's see how good my memory is.

Hint: My memory is terrible. :sad2:

I think we woke up around 9 and headed down to the Boardwalk for some breakfast from the bakery.

I think we got the same thing but I only took one picture so it's anyone's guess, really.

I wanted a cheese danish but they only had cheese and raspberry. I was disappointed at first but it ended up being really good so I got over it pretty quickly.

The plan for the day was to head to DTD and do lots of pin trading, before heading back to MK for dinner and MNSSHP.

I can tell you that we did do a lot of trading...but I took two whole pictures while were at DTD and it was these:

Every time we go to DTD we say we're going to stop at Goofy's for some treats and we never do.

So we made it a point this time to go.

Lumar got a Mickey Rice Krispy Treat covered in chocolate and Reese's Pieces. And I had a Cheshire Cat Caramel Apple.

After four bites of my apple:

"Dude... I can't eat anymore..."

Lumar: "Me either! I felt bad and didn't want to say anything!"

Me: "It's good but too much...."

Lumar: "Yeah, same here."

So the rest of my apple went into the trash. Lumar's Mickey was wrapped up and put into the backpack.

We headed for the bus stop and somehow made our way to the MK. The details of our travel have escaped me....

Up next: Dinner and MNSSHP

Ugh - I’m so sorry about the job situation. And your neighbor is horrifying!!! :scared1: I really hope things start looking up for you soon.

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom around 5pm and, MNSSHP tickets IN HAND this time...we headed to the party entrance.

Only it was at THIS point that we realized that all of the tickets looked the same and there weren't any dates on them. So a CM with a little scanner thingy had to come over and scan them all to see which ones we had used already and which ones were valid for the party that night.

We made it through the gates and headed down Main Street to our dinner location. One of my favorites:

The Plaza!

We both had Pomegranate Lemonade which was SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I mean seriously, I need to find a mix or something so I can make this at home. YUMMO! :thumbsup2 (Now that I'm thinking about it, we also had this at Le Cellier and I think I forgot to mention it because the food itself was so fantastical.

Lumar had the meat loaf:

And I had the Plaza Club:

We both really enjoyed our meals but we skipped traditional dessert because....well, because Lumar can't eat ice cream.

So I did what any loving fiance would do and I got ice cream without him after we left the restaurant :thumbsup2

I was sitting around eating my ice cream and apparently took this picture of the lovely fall decorations:

It was finally time for the party to start, and I remember we were sitting on some little steps on Main Street, next to one of the stores, listening to the announcements from the Ghost Host telling the non-party guests that they didn't have to go home, but they couldn't stay there!

He doesn't say it quite like that, but you get the idea.

First things first....

PIRATES!

Why? Because I love it and during the Halloween Party there's only ever like a 5 minute wait.

I'm sure we did several things after Pirates but I didn't take pictures or notes.

So we'll say that magically, we ended up in Fantasyland where we rode the Barnstormer for the first time ever.

AND we got the FRONT ROW.

SCORE!

And then we got to hang out with Goofy! Who noticed our engagement buttons and made a big deal about it! It was really nice and we loved this meet & greet!

Next up was the TTA - where Lumar tried to take the obligatory Feet on the Seat picture, but the camera strap was in the way :rolleyes2

And then there's mine. Totally professional ::yes::

So as we were leaving Tomorrowland (I'm sure we did SOMETHING besides the TTA but :confused3 ), we stopped for a PP pic on the bridge in front of the castle...

And the photographer used the totally wrong setting so the castle magically disappeared! :(

We headed back to Liberty Square and there was NO line. I wanted to stay outside and listen to the ghost lady for a little while (Lumar and I both think her name was Delilah but we could be totally wrong about that), but there was no line so our train just kept a'rollin.

Random pic of the grounds:

And after the ride, we took PP pics in front of the carriage.

Now, for this picture, they have the photographer standing there across from you, and then someone standing behind him with a big ghost cutout. Indicating "Look here!"

But then this happens:

And I end up looking like I'm staring off into space instead of AT the camera. And I look like a total toolbag. This also happened to me at Christmas.... Me and my siblings, along with our three first cousins, sat together to take a nice family picture. And people swarmed us to take a picture with their own cameras. Which resulted in like, 6 different cameras to choose to look at and I looked at the wrong one every single time. So 5 people are all smiley and happy looking straight ahead at the correct camera.... and I'm all derp-faced looking lost in the sauce, staring off to the left or the right. :sad2:

I hate taking pictures.

Up next: The Return of Note Taking!!

Goofy's is my favorite store at DTD so I'm glad you went! Yeah, I always get the Rice Krispy and eat a little bit, then save it. The candy apples are so adorable but I would be like you, eat a couple bites and then be full.

Duffy is looking fab. :cool1:

It's both awful and hilarious that the photographer didn't get the castle in the picture. Like, the point is to get the castle in the picture. YOU HAD ONE JOB!

Ugh - I’m so sorry about the job situation. And your neighbor is horrifying!!! :scared1: I really hope things start looking up for you soon.

Thanks! I know they'll get better! It's just that waiting period that really bites! I spoke to my property manager about the issues with my neighbor yesterday and I let her listen to the recordings I made. She told me that she is in a 15 day "probation" period right now so if things continue to happen after that 15 day period, they'll start the eviction process so I need to document everything that happens in case they need it for legal purposes. I don't think this chick has any intention of fighting a legal battle...but just in case!

I was so sad because it was so yummy but just too much for me! Plus, I didn't realize there was a coating of marshmallow under the pink and purple sugar, and I hate marshmallow. I dealt with it but would have probably eaten more if it wasn't there.

Duffy is looking fab. :cool1:

Why thank you! I'm slightly ashamed of how much money I spent on clothes for Duffy. But he does look marvelous, doesn't he? :rotfl: And all of the characters loved him so it was worth it!

It's both awful and hilarious that the photographer didn't get the castle in the picture. Like, the point is to get the castle in the picture. YOU HAD ONE JOB!

I said the SAME THING! When I saw that pic the first thing I said was like "dude, you had ONE job!" :sad2: Still a cute pic but so annoying!

All caught up! Don't worry I've been on a hiatus from the DIS too, I've had so much anxiety and depression going on lately, it's amazing I can even function. I'm hoping that maybe now that it's starting to get a little warmer it will snap me out of it a little. Who knows.

I always say I'm going to get stuff at the candy place in DTD too, and I never do! Mostly because...yeah those apples and rice krispy treats LOOK awesome, but I'm not sure how I'd like to actually eat them. Like I just want a standard rice krispy treat, I don't need a bunch of candy piled on. But I should just try one anyway. I feel like I owe it to myself. As an American. (Don't ask, I don't know what I'm saying right now! :rotfl2:)

I really want to try the Plaza...IF (and that's one big IF) I get to go to Disney in September and go to MNSSHP, I am considering going there to eat first, but I also want to do LTT...however, I want to try places I haven't been and I still have not been to the Plaza! Crazy right?

You're so funny, carrying your Duffy around in the parks! :rotfl2:

OMG we had such awkward pictures in front of the carriage at the Haunted Mansion too!!! I think they are in my October TR, but they were SO weird! Like I think one of us looked scared and the other one looked normal...then we tried again and we both still messed up...this is why we can't have nice pictures! Brandon and I are the worst! :rotfl2:

I just really needed some things to square themselves away in order to get out of my funk. You'll get there! :thumbsup2

Honestly, get one and split it between the two of you. And prepare to bring some back to the room (or home) with you because you will not be able to eat it all. And honestly, we tried it.... I don't have any desire to eat like that again! It was just too much! One regular old rice krispy treat is more than enough for me!

I feel like I owe it to myself. As an American. (Don't ask, I don't know what I'm saying right now! :rotfl2:)

I know exactly what you mean! It's there for us to eat it...so we might as well eat it! :lmao:

It's pretty basic...I mean, don't expect to be blown away. But it's a cute little spot with good, familiar food. And I'd rather go there any day over Casey's or Cosmic Rays. Every time we eat from one of those places one of us gets sick. :crazy2: We ate at LTT once, back in 2007. It was good but I just prefer The Plaza :thumbsup2

You're so funny, carrying your Duffy around in the parks! :rotfl2:

I love my Duffy. He's hanging out right now in his Jedi Academy t-shirt!
:goodvibes

I love the location for that photo op but seriously...what the heck are they thinking, having the "attention getter" standing so far away from the photographer. You're supposed to be in the direction of the camera! FAIL!
:sad2:

Just found your TR and quite enjoying it!! And yeah, its now going to be my mission to find a Darkwing Duck shirt! :lovestruc
Also yay pin trading!

Also very sorry to hear about your neighbour! It is truly awful to have inconsiderate neighbours. I called the police once on the upstairs people. I heard a loud yell and a heavy thump, I had heard yelling a few times before, I just couldn't not do something, it was a pretty terrifying moment. Police arrived and spoke to them and then came down to talk to me, the story upstairs was that it was their grandmother who was prone to seizures and she had been having one. Not sure if I believed it but felt better that I had called.

The people who moved in after them was a young couple who would fight at all hours of the night, throw things, and in the afternoon/evenings play extremely loud music. The super intendant told me I would need to talk to him when I complained(I thought less of him after this). I had even gone up their once but they never answered the door, probably cause the music was too loud. Afterwards I actually thought about it and being single woman and living alone I didn't actually want to confront people who had no issue throwing furniture and yelling at each other at 2am.

Its 100x worse though when such a young child is involved too. I really feel for what you are dealing with, hopefully hearing other peoples stories helps....I want to say make you feel not alone in this, but not sure its right. Its like when I hear about other peoples crazy drama familys its nice to not be the only one dealing with that kind of stuff! lol

Oooh, I totally found this! Must have before our trip!

Thank you SO MUCH for reading along!

I know what you mean...I don't want to say that I'm glad someone knows what I'm going through - because it's HORRIBLE and NO ONE should have to deal with stuff like this... But at the same time, it IS nice to know that there are people who can relate!

I LOVE my Darkwing Duck shirt! I bought it a few years ago at Hot Topic and every time I wear it in WDW, I get compliments on it! The one in the link you posted it pretty awesome! I may that one, too! :thumbsup2

Hi! Joining in a little late! I saw the name of your report on someone else's report and had to come read. I've spent most of my free time (read as time spent waiting for kids in carpool, before bed, during meals) catching up and I'm loving your report so far (but not hearing about your crazy *** neighbor!). I'm so excited to hear about your Disney wedding too! We got engaged at disney but we didn't have our wedding there. Mostly because I don't think I knew you could do that, but I wish we would have! Anyway, can't wait to read more!

Ali, we are back and I'm winding up catching up on all my threads.

I am sitting here debating what to go and get for lunch and I see your Plaza lunch and would love to be eating there right now (it was closed when we were there last week). Your sandwich and fries are making my tummy rumble.

Fun pictures with Goofy.

It sounds like a good start to your party (glad the ticket thing got straightened out). I love the photopass picture in front of the carriage.

Hey there!!!

Loved reading about the Plaza. From the menu, it doesn’t seem very special, but that place gets consistently great reviews. We are totally going to have to try it next time!

The party looks like so much fun! I miss being able to go to it - I think we may try to do the one at Disneyland this year! :woohoo:

:rotfl2: The castle-less castle shot is HILARIOUS!!!

My neighbor is a real piece of work! She went off on the kid again on Friday night because she ate something that belonged to her and didn't leave her any. I mean, this woman was having a full on sob-fest...because her three year old...ate her food.... :sad2: I mean, I don't even have kids and I know that the first rule of parenthood is that basically EVERYTHING gets shared with the kids! You should have heard her... she's something else, I tell ya!

As I was WRITING that update I kept wishing I could just poof myself right to the The Plaza. Although in all fairness, I say that everyday when the "what's for dinner" problem presents itself. Meals are just so much easier in Disney!

We had a great time at the Halloween Party our second time around! MUCH better than the first one!

The Plaza is pretty basic - definitely nothing awe-inspiring. But it's yummy, not too expensive, and usually very good service.

Seriously...that castle pic.... :rolleyes2

“Is Everyday a Red Day?”

We woke up bright and early on Monday morning (only 4 more days!) and the first thing I did was make some FP+ ressie’s for AK, since we’d be spending most of our day there.

Lumar: What are you doing?

Me: Making fastpass reservations.

Lumar: Do you think we’ll need them?

Me: Well the Crowd Forecast doesn’t look very nice.

Lumar: It’s ANOTHER red day?!

(Yes, he knows the color coding of the Crown Forecast calendar)

Me: Unfortunately.

Lumar: Is like, everyday a red day at Animal Kingdom?

In all honesty, it really felt that way! There were four days that were “red days” for AK just during our first week. I don’t remember what the second week looked like but AK is suddenly becoming super popular or something.

While Lumar was in the shower, I texted some people back home to say hello and I had to send my sister this picture.

Mosquitos are utterly infatuated with me. And the bites grow to enormous sizes. This one, as evidenced by the picture, was the size of a dime.

Around 9am we headed down to the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast.

Bacon and egg on a biscuit = yummy!

We got FPs for EE, Dinosaur, and KS. Our FP return time for EE was 10:15 – 11:15 so we got our butts down to the bus stop at about 10am.

First we waited about 15 minutes for a bus....

Then we stopped at the Swan.....

Then we stopped at the Dolphin.....

Then we stopped at Blizzard Beach..........

By the time we got to AK it was 11am.

But we still stopped for a Cheesy Tourist Pic:

By the time we got to EE, it was 11:10. Talk about down to the wire! That whole sharing buses thing really irritated me on this trip!

We stopped and got new FPs for EE before we got in the queue (you could still use paper FPs at the time), and had a fantastic ride. I wish I was in line to ride it right now!

After our first ride was over, we headed over to Dinosaur. I love the gift shop in Dinoland! There is so much weird stuff and I never take time to browse around so this time, I did!

This one was in the shop at the end of the ride. I almost bought it for my brother but I didn’t.
This is a book that tells you about all of the cool stuff we can do with fossilized dino poo. It was quite interesting, actually!

After Dinoland, we went back to EE to use our paper FPs.

After our ride, we both needed something cold to drink so we stopped at Drinkwallah for a frozen coke and a frozen lemonade. Here’s a shot of the inside of the building – it’s kinda cute in there!

We finally made our way back over to the Safari, but I think we may have gone out to Rafiki’s Planet Watch first. I remember sitting on the bench at the train station with my frozen lemonade…but I didn’t take any pictures or put it in my notes.

I took lots of pics on the safari (because honestly, who doesn’t?)

(Aww! The baby!)

Up next: An Unexpected (Lunch) Twist - Continued in next post!

An Unexpected (Lunch) Twist

When our two week safari ended, we were hungry. Dinner wasn’t until 6:30pm and it was only about 2:30. So we stopped by Y & Y to see if they had availability for walk-ups. She said it was about a ten minute wait so we snagged a pretty cool lunch spot! I love the food at Y & Y but I also love all of the STUFF! All of the decorations inside are from different areas of Asia and they’re all really awesome!
While we were waiting for our table, I took some pictures of the cool stuff in the lobby.

We were seated well before the ten minute wait she’d given us, and placed our drink orders. Lumar probably had a Dos Equis:

And I had the Everest Avalanche because it’s delicious!

Some more pics while we waited for our food:

Our steamed pork dumplings:

One more picture of some wall art:

And before we knew it, our lunch was out!

I think Lumar had the bourbon chicken….

And I had the Sweet & Sour Chicken:

For dessert, we shared the Cream Cheese Wontons (which are SO good!)

After lunch, we headed back to Discovery Island and wandered some of the trails there, stopped to talk to some CMs about vinylmation trading at one point along the way.

(Continued in next post)

We were going to start heading back to the resort, but it was almost parade time and Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade is my favorite so we found a spot to watch from.

Let me just say that I am NOT happy with this new expansion that they’ve started.

For one thing, I am not a fan of Avatar. I’ve never seen the movie – never had any interest.

For another, it’s now taken away my parade.

I’m not saying it won’t be cool – the concept art looks amazing…I just feel that there are so many other DISNEY properties that they could have used instead. I definitely agree that AK needs something ‘more,’ but I just think it was dumb to use an outside entity when Disney has so many of their owns things they could have used. Not for nothing, but an Australia area based on Rescuers Down Under would have thrilled me to pieces! Just sayin’.

Anyway, so we finally head out of AK and I take one last stroll through that last gift shop. I really wanted this mug but forgot to buy it and now I’m mad at myself!

Up next: Babe…I Messed My Pants

Man, I thought my kids were the only ones who got those monster mosquito bites! Aren't they horrible!?!

Oh expedition Everest! I finally rode it on our last trip and loved it! It bummed me out that the standby was always so long and we didn't get to go again.

We've never gone in y&y. It is so pretty in there! I'd be in there forever looking at all the things. Your drink does look delicious!

We aren't big parade people and have only seen this one twice. It is pretty fun though. Our kids liked all the bright colors and costumes. I'm not thrilled with the avatar land either. After all the construction is done and FotLK moves are they bringing the parade back or are they changing it too?

Had no plans for Yak&Yeti but may need to try cream cheese wontons now!

I'm a little unsure of Avatarland, just because we have no idea what the next few movies will be like and if they actually will be good. Lot to live up to. But its all about timing...if they are far enough along and it sucks, they can't just not finish it, but they can change it into something else.....:rolleyes1
