B&P's VR 11/10/2012 UK/AAP/UKDP Day 1 Arrival & Epcot 6/10

Oh my gosh, your tasting looked amaaaaaazing! That's too bad about the few things you didn't get to try but everything still looks fabulous! How awesome that they gave you the chocolate Minnie for your birthday!

Bethie, I would have been soooooo irritated with the customer service as well! I hope you get the bouts soon (the idea is fabulous, by the way!).

Yay for birthday perks! I'm glad you were driven around in a Cadillac on your big day. AND you got a fabulous white chocolate Minnie!!! :cool1:

And as far as that food...YUM YUM YUM...especially the doughnut. Can I please come to the VR? Please please please? I will meet you at Logan and you can just stuff me in one of your suitcases! ::yes::

That's ridiculous!!! Thank goodness you still have time to work it out. I just hate that...it makes what should be a fun experience and bad, stressful experience. On the bright side--they are really adorable!

Thanks, Justine. They are so cute! I just want them! Are we going to get a TR?

Ugh!! So irritating!! I would so punch them for you, if I could!! Now continue on with the TR!! :goodvibes

I would love for you to punch them! I would pay to see that! :lmao:

Now I'm really hungry, Bethie! It looks like it was fun and tasty. Thanks for keeping us posted with such great detail.
I must get try some of the Chicken Parm with Paul's Sauce. Yum!
Rebecca

Thanks Rebecca, It was awesome! I dream about the chicken. :cloud9:

WOW! Where do I begin? negative first i suppose....

The bouts issue stinks!!! I hate companies that are like that. Oh, no big deal, we'll just embellish the truth, and the customer won't know the difference. I can't stand that!:furious: And people wonder why some of us plan things so far ahead. For this exact reason. And I would not say you are a bridezilla.

Now, about that food :worship: WOW!!! So, just throw a goody baggie of all Pauls leftovers and bring em on over to the DP I'll sneak over & grab it. :lmao: Seems like Paul and I have similiar food taste. Especially the mushroom thing.:rolleyes2 Now, I have been very anxious, tell me what do the donuts taste like? Do they taste caramel-ish? Everything looks so delish.

BTW, how does it work with ADR's if you are planning a wedding there? Do you still have to get up early this weekend and make any that are outside the VR events? I will be up VERY early Sunday to make ours.

Glad to read you are feeling better in the head :rotfl2:

Thanks, Dee! The bout thing is so irritating. I sent her another one today and I will update at the end of this.

I wish I could get you a doggie bag. Paul will certainly want to bring the rest home. The donuts were amazing! It was warm and a little crunchy and it disappeared so quickly that it was a food blur. With the brown sugar and butter, it probably did have a bit of caramel taste to it.

For the ADRs, I just made them at the 180 day mark. I did have to make them at the butt crack on Friday. Did you get all yours? We did well with ours. It should be a great trip!

Thanks again. Head is all better now.

First off, how frustrating about the bout company?! Grr...I hope that you get your bouts soon and that everything is ok with them. You are being way more patient than I would be. I think my conversations with them would be getting a little "heated" at this point if I were you!

And now...the FOOD! Those pics! Torture! I never should have read this installment on an empty stomach! Everything looks so delish and perfect. Your guests are going to be so happy with all that amazing food! Speaking of...got room for one more on that guest list? :lmao:

ooh, i can't wait for more!!!!

Thanks, Allie. I hope they come soon too. I am tired of running to the door when I hear a delivery truck. :headache: I sent her another email today, but my next one won't be as nice, if we don't get to a resolution soon.

Sorry about the food toruture. I should have put a disclaimer on that post! I would so love to have a DisBride section at this. That would be awesome!

-Gah! I hope those bouts come in soon. That’s really unacceptable and the woman sounds a little off her rocker. The bout is just adorable though.
-Gooood idea about telling the FGs to close their eyes.
-Ohhh the strawberry soup. My mouth is watering already.
-Yup, now I am drooling over the chicken. We had ours with a cream sauce. I think about that chicken almost every day. (I really need a life.)
-Well, I don’t like steak, but I will have some of the pasta please!
-Omigosh I really want that donut. Just sayin. And I don’t even LIKE donuts!
-Yeah! They should have let you try other things besides those. That’s dumb.
-Awww the birthday surprise is so cute.
-Anddd now my rumbly tummy is going to grab a yogurt!

I do believe she is off her rocker, but still have hope. :rolleyes1

Glad you liked all the food (except the steak). The donut was fabulous! Can't wait to have it again.

You did the cheese soup at Boardwalk, right? Was it as good as Le Cellier? We have it for the welcome dinner and was just curious.

Ugh Beth that is so frustrating about the bouts! I really hope you get them soon so you can stop worrying about them!

But as for the good stuff... your tasting looks delicious! Oh boy, you've got me really hungry now ;) The flambeed donut in particular is so unique and sounds so good. And that chicken- I could have some of that right now!

Thanks, Becky. They are gorgeous and so perfect for us, so I am willing to wait, but this is ridiculous.

The tasting was a great experience. So glad we got to do it. I can't wait for our guests to try all this.

Hi sweet Bethie
Glad to hear that the planning session went so well - all the food looks amazing!!! I wish I was a guest at this VR!!!
The woman producing the bouts needs a swift kick up the bum IMHO!!! That is absolutely no way to run a business!!!
Sorry about your head injury but glad to hear you are feeling better now!!!
Much love to you sweetie!!!

Hi, Joanne! How are you? I've missed you!

The DisBride section at this event would be huge if you could all come! i would love it.

I really hope I get a resolution soon. I have conflict, but I think I am getting to that point.

I am feeling better, thanks! The wall seems to be okay too. :lmao:

Love to you too across the pond!

Yum! Your tasting session pictures are making me sooo hungry! I've never had the chilled strawberry soup, but I really want to try some. And the donut--so different and so delicious looking!!

Thanks Andrea! Paul loves the soup, so when we found out we could have it for the reception it was a must! They serve it at 1900 Park Fare, if you want to try it. :) We went with the donut just for that reason. It is very different and I think our guests will love it. I also like that it is an action station, so I won't feel guilty over the left overs.

Oh Wow! Things look wonderful! I'm so sorry about your stress with the bouts. Talk about annoying!

Thank you so much! I hope to have some resolution soon on the bouts. Thanks for the support.

I'm really getting horrible about commenting on everybody's PJs and TRs. I just read them and never say anything. So since I'm so ridiculously far behind, I'm just going to go ahead and get started!!

Arrival
-Can you believe I've never been on a plane?! Well I haven't!
-I'm sorry your team lost!!
-Glad check-in went smoothly. Ours was quite aggravating for the bday trip, but it was my fault. I'm hoping to start my TR when I get finished commenting here and over at Jackie's and Danielle's. (meaning we'll be lucky if I get started.)
-Yay bday buttons!!! I wore mine every single day of my bday trip. They def get noticed.. more on that in the upcoming.. maybe it will get done TR! haha
-Yall look so excited to be at Disney!!!!
-The room does look quite spacious! Snazzy decor as well.
-Do you know we had the 'Dole Whip meet-up', and I didn't even get one?!?! LOL
-That seemed to be how our trip went. Late nights and early mornings. We always do that. I'm usually dense and book a breakfast for super freakin early, like a *******!
-WOOHOO PS!!!

(Jackie, I <3 you and just so you know.. you're the reason I didn't post as much as I normally do while on a trip. I was trying to be like you!!!)

Even though you've already recovered by now, I'm sorry you injured yourself! Not to steal your thunder or anything (LOL), but I injured myself Monday before we left Disney. More on that in the possible, may get it started today TR.

PS
-We got up at 6am every morning.. but that's actually sleeping in for us. We have to get up at 4:15am for work.
-Yay for the pink binder! We're like triplets with our binders!
-The GF Cafe is awesome. It's really pretty in there. And we LOVE LOVE LOVE the juice at 1900 Park Fare (even though we like the juice at Tusker House even better than this).
-I've never had steak for breakfast, but I do love a good steak. I had an awesome steak for dinner at the GF Cafe.
-That French toast and bacon looks delicious!!!
-I got one of those cupcakes too!!! Yummy!
-Yay, time to go in!!!
-Those slushies are really strong to me, as a non-drinker. Am I the only one that feels this way?? lol I will say that I like the lemonade one better than the orange one.
-Woohoo Kathy!
-You deserve whatever you want. That's the beauty of it!
-I bet the groom's cake will look great!
-I can't wait to see everything put together!! It's going to look so freakin fantastic!!!!!!!!!
-Those chargers are GORGEOUS!!!
-OMG I want all of that cake right now!! It looks soooooo yummy!!!
-Just so you know.. our wedding cake was marble with peanut butter cup mousse (it was made at the BW bakery though).. but it was DELICIOUS!!! We were in Disney for like 8 days after our wedding. The cake was in the frig in our room the entire time. We never cut into the top layer. After we got home, we ate on that cake for a little over a week.. and it was still yummy!!!
-You're going to LOVE mine and Jackie's wedding!!!!!

More on the bridezilla rant!
Since I just skimmed over this trying to rush you along in your PS TR.. I'll go into more detail about my feelings on this matter. :) I think that's BS that they had you guys waiting around like that! *** kind of business do they expect to get pushing the due dates around like that?!?! Hopefully they will come in and all will be well!! I do like them though!

Tasting
-Heck yeah for the Cadillac!
-Yeah we drove backstage at MK and Epcot for our photo shoots.. not very glam! lol
-All of your meal selections look soooo tasty!!! I want to eat them all right now!!
-I really want to try that damn Flambeed Donut.. and I agree with Paul. I would much rather have it with vanilla ice cream. Sometimes just plain ol' vanilla is good!!!
-That was so sweet of them to give you that chocolate for your bday. We got a pic of the GF made of chocolate from the GF Cafe, and it' still in our freezer. I want to eat it.. especially cause it broke, but I just can't bring myself to do it!! We also still have our chocolate ears that were our cake topper. They're in our freezer too. We're going to eat them for our anniversary! lol

YAY I'm all caught up with yours. Can't wait for the next installment!!

Alright, I need to respond to you in a separate post, when I am not tired. :lmao: You put so much effort into it, that I feel I should do the same.

I'm a little late, but I'm here again!

•I'm so sorry you haven't gotten the bouts yet. I hope they come soon--No bride should have to deal with that sort of issue. Don't people realize that's what starts the stress?! :rotfl2:
•Oh my goodness, all of the food sounds (and looks) amazing! The soup, chicken, pasta, desserts, EVERYTHING. Great choices!
•I love the action shots of the flambeed doughnut. The outcome also looks amazing.
•The chocolate figures are so cute--What a sweet gesture.

Hey, Danielle! Thanks for following along! When is the move?

I am so excited about everything we tasted. I hope our guests love everything.

I loved the chocolate figures. They were so lovely.

Oh my gosh, your tasting looked amaaaaaazing! That's too bad about the few things you didn't get to try but everything still looks fabulous! How awesome that they gave you the chocolate Minnie for your birthday!

Thanks! We tried enough, but would have liked more! :lmao: I am not sure our decisions would have been any different so it was fine. The chocolate Minnie more than made up for it!

::yes::

Hey Lacey!

I am irritated, but am waiting for a response to this weeks email. I keep running to the door, not even knowing if I am looking for anything. Frustrating. If they are beautiful and I finally get them, all will be well. If I don't, it will just be wasted time.

I love spending my birthday at Disney and just totally soak it up. It's so worth it. Wear the birthday button and milk it! We are planning on going for Paul's birthday in February, since he finally wants that! ::yes::

We are leaving on November 6th on JetBlue around 4, if you think you can do it! :rolleyes2 I am hoping to maybe leave earlier, so I will let you know.
_______________________________

Small update on the bouts. Call me crazy, I decided I really wanted 2 more (one for our officiant and one for our new reader), so I sent her another email today.

I asked again about the missing ones, but also said I wanted 2 more, but was very nervous about ordering them. I told her if she could guaratee that I would get all 6 by June 1st, that I would place the order. I also told her I absolutely need a tracking number when they ship.

If I don't hear something in 48 hours, I give up and will just go floral or think of something else. I am hoping that she and I can resolve this and get what I want.

I will keep everyone posted. I realize that I am insane for looking into more ordering, but maybe it will spur her on to get them done. Who knows?

Boutonniere update

Well, suggesting I wanted to order 2 more, woke her up, I hope. She emailed me back early this morning with a great offer provided she comes through. She says she will now send all 6 bouts (replacements for original 4, plus the 2 new ones) FEDEX and she will only charge me for one only when they get here. We set a deadline of June 1st. Hopefully, this works. I will keep everyone posted.

Magic Kingdom and California Grill Birthday Dinner

After dropping off our stuff in our room, we headed over to MK. We exchanged our vouchers for passes and then got a TiW card. (For anyone wondering if they should get one, the answer is definitely yes. We totally recouped the cost already and saved even more). We headed into the MK and wandered down Main Street doing a little window shopping.

We stopped at the Walt statue to take pics since we always take this photo on every trip.

047.jpg

After the photos, we headed into Fantasyland. Our first stop was Small World, my favorite ride. Paul can't stand it, but he humors me and especially since it was my birthday. :rotfl: We then hit Philharmagic, Snow White and again did a little bit of shopping. Found some stuff for the FGs, which they loved.

We walked around for a while, rode some more rides including HM and POTC. I stopped at the glass cart across from Pirates and bought the Donald & Daisy figure, which Jackie had pointed out on her HM. It is so cute.

EBE0C4EF.jpg

It was a little after 7, so we decided to head back to the Poly to get ready for dinner. We took the boat back and I did get a great shot of the WP.

052.jpg

Around 8:30 we headed for the monorail so that we could get to the California Grill with plenty of time to spare. We checked in early and were told that they were running late. They sent us upstairs and we waited for our table, which turned out to be only about a 5 minute wait. We didn't get a table by the windows, even though it was my birthday, but our table was fine. Not spectacular, not awful.

059.jpg

We ordered a cocktail (I know I got the sangria -which was yummy!) and took a look at the menu. We also took the required pictures of each other before we placed our order.

061.jpg

062.jpg

Paulie had the four cheese flatbread, which he really enjoyed. He is a bit of a picky eater, so I was happy that he liked it. I tried it and it was very tasty.

065.jpg

I had the Dragon Roll and it was amazing! What a fabulous flavor. Paulie did not try mine. :rotfl:

064.jpg

Our server asked us if we planned to go outside for the fireworks or did we prefer for our entrees to be served. Since it was so late, we opted to go ahead and eat since we thought we could see most of the show from where we were.

Based on Jackie's (ok Chris's) recommendation, I was really looking forward to the bison. Sadly, the menu had just changed that week and it was no longer offered. The bright side was that Soft Shelled Crabs were! I love them.

067.jpg

I forget what they originally came with, but Rosti potatoes, which are like a hashbrown were offered with another dish. Paul and I both love Rosti! When I asked our server for the substitution, she got a little bit huffy about it. She told me "They are just hashbrowns, you know." I said that I did know what they are and that I wanted them. How hard can this be lady??? :furious: The crabs were delicious!!! The Rosti not so much. I make better ones at home.

Paul got the filet mignon. He also ordered the Rosti. His filet was absolutely fabulous!! Again, the Rosti, not so much.

066.jpg

We watched Wishes while we ate, which was cool because we were some of the only people left inside, so it was very romantic for us. :cloud9:

Once our entrees were cleared, we ordered dessert right away, since we were getting tired very quickly. Luckily, they came out very quickly.

I ordered the Peach Cake thingy :confused3, which I loved! Even though it was my birthday, they didn't do anything special with it other than putting the little piece of chocolate on it that said Happy Birthday.

069.jpg

Paul ordered the Bananas and Caramel. He loved it. I don't like cooked bananas, so I didn't try it. It looked pretty though.

070.jpg

Overall, we had a good night at California Grill. I had eaten there before with a friend and not been overly impressed with it. I had hoped that with Paul I would feel differently. I didn't. I am glad we went, but I can think of several restaurants at Disney that I would choose before this one.

We hopped the monorail back to The Poly and headed to bed since we had an early morning. It was without question, one of the top birthdays ever! What a fabulous day!

Thanks for reading along!

Next up...hair and makeup trial, Carolyn Allen's, photos with Regina and dinner at Yachtsman.

-Bethie, the cheese soup at Boardwalk was just as good as at Le Cellier--- they tasted exactly the same. It’s a pretty straightforward recipe. Heck, when I made it, it tasted the same!! I would actually give the pretzel breadsticks to the Boardwalk--- they were slightly better there. (We had our tasting and Le Cellier back to back on our PS trip, so we were able to compare.)
-Fingers crossed about the bout from Crazy Lady!
-YAY! TiW love!
-Aww that is such a cute picture of you and Paul. Do you see Jennifer and I in the background???
-Awww you bought the figurine.
-I got the sangria there too! Yummy.
-I like Paulie’s Boardwalk polo a lot. It’s Disney, but subtle.
-Mmmm that flatbread is so tasty.
-OH NO!!! THEY GOT RID OF THE BISON?!?! Uh oh. I have some bad news to break to my hubs.
-What the heck, lady?! Why did she care about your substitution??? I hate snobby servers.
-PS do you remember if the mac and cheese was still on the menu?
-That dessert does it look fancy and yummy, at least.
-Ohhh I want Paul’s dessert. In my tummy. Now. Please.

The picture of you and Paulie in front of the castle is simply adorable! ;)

The dragon roll looks AMAZING!!!!! I would totally have shared that with you! That's one more thing we can add to the list of things I miss terribly (while pregnant)...raw fish! Maybe we should meet for sushi and I can just get cooked maki...:thumbsup2

PS, I love you in that pink cardigan! :flower3:

I've missed so much!! Josh has already given me the "are you going to sit on the computer all day???" :( I have a lot to catch up on!! haha
Your PS looked amazing! All that food looks yummmoooo! I love those charger plates too!! A word of caution on our pink- my flowers (my bridesmaids and the bouts) were the wrong shade of pink! I gave Laura fabric samples of the dresses even to show how light I wanted them. If you want a certain shade like I did, over-emphasize this. I assumed since I gave her the swatch, met with her and went over everything, we were all set. I was wrong. :( foiled.

I hope you get those bouts by 6/1! They are so fun and different, but I agree their service SUCKS! You might be a little crazy for ordering two more, but if you get all of them, that will be great!! Fingers crossed for you!!

:goodvibes

Thanks, Lacey! The first time we took it was at Disneyland in 2001 and our friend took it by accident. We loved it and have done it every trip since then. :cloud9:

The dragon roll was AMAZING!!! I am totally up for sushi in a few weeks. Let me know. We can also put Sam Adams and sushi on our list for once the baby comes. :)

I love that cardigan. Pink really is my color. Thanks so much!

Thanks, MRS!!! Hope Josh didn't get too mad.

I am totally in love with the chargers. Our BEO came back and they are a little over $10 a plate, but I think they are totally worth it. They are staying!

Thanks for the word of caution on the pink. Sorry yours weren't exactly what you wanted. That's a huge piffle. When I met with Elizabeth, I told her that my favorite pinks are bubblegum and cotton candy (so grown up, huh?). The good news is that she listed them on my BEO, so fingers crossed, I get the right pinks.

* Glad to hear that the soup will be great! We are really looking forward to it.
* Thanks for the good vibes for the bouts. I plan on a follow up email after the long weekend to check in. I will be so happy when I have them.
* We love TiW. We have had it before and it is so worth it. Already saved $30more than the cost and still have 2 more trips to use it for. We are planning on getting the spouse card so we can use it for a big dinner at Big River after everyone gets there, Paul's guys lunch at Raglan Road and another big dinner at Yachtsman on everyone's last night. We figure that the money we save will pay for another card.
* I do see you and Jennifer in the pic! Weird how that happened. :rotfl:
* I searched all over for it. I had to have it. Thanks for telling me about it.
* I am a big sangria fan. Get it almost everywhere I go. Had a fabulous one at Legal the other night. I am friendly with a bartender there and I am thinking of asking for the recipe so I can have Epcot make it and call it Pink Princess Punch and use it as a signature cocktail.
* Paulie loves his polos! He has them from Boardwalk, AKL, WL and he just got a Beach Club one on this trip. He also has a bunch of DCL polos too. Mouse, but not all over Mouse. :rotfl:
* Flatbread was awesome. He loved it.
* Sorry Chris. Bison was off the menu. It may be a winter item that will be back in time for your NYE trip. Fingers crossed. I believe the Mac and Cheese was still on though.
* I really didn't love our server that night. I can now say after 2 trips there, that I don't need to do Cali Grill again. There are places we enjoy more.
* Both of us loved our desserts. They were very yummy!

Hair Trial

Woke up around 6:30 and hopped in the shower. I didn't need to do much since I was having my hair trial at 8!!! I had booked with Janet Mednick of Onsite Beauty sometime last summer for our vow renewal, so I was very excited to meet her after talking to her for so long.

I walked down to the Great Ceremonial House to find some breakfast and coffee. My favorite time of day to walk around the resorts is early morning before a whole lot of people are out. I did get this great pic on my walk.

074.jpg

I was so happy that I found the Kona Coffee Bar since I hate Disney coffee or Nescafe. The best news was that they had ICED COFFEE!! It was delicious! :cloud9: Grabbed a croissant to go with it and headed back to our room.

Enjoyed my coffee and croissant sitting on our balcony watching the monorail go by and waited for Janet to arrive. She arrived a couple of minutes early and after exchanging greetings, introducing her to Paul (who ran away quickly) and getting her stuff ready, we got down to work. I showed her my binder with all of my pictures, got out my tiara and hair clips.

About an hour and a half later, we were done with the trial. The time flew by because we talked the whole time. It was fabulous. I felt so relaxed around her. She loved the playlist I had created too! The tiara and the flowers look so good together.

076.jpg

077.jpg

078.jpg

079.jpg

When we were done with the trial, we talked about the schedule for the vow renewal week. She is coming to do my hair and makeup three times in five days. Welcome Dinner and tea on Friday, Vow Renewal on Saturday and Epcot shoot on Tuesday. I will be seeing alot of her. :woohoo: Since we have to start at 4am on vow renewal day, she offered to bring me a cappucino and one for my friend, Arlene, who will also be getting her hair and makeup done. So sweet! :yay:

She then offered to take my hair down and style it for our photos with Regina later on that day. I, of course, said yes! Paul texted and asked if he could come back, so I let him. :rolleyes1 After Paul arrived, Janet was ready to go and we needed to get moving to head to Carolyn Allen's.

We grabbed the rental car and headed on our way. It was only about a 25 minute drive from Disney and we made it easily. I was a little surprised when we got there since it wasn't at all what I expected. I had envisioned some huge bridal salon with lots of employees. It is a smallish store front run by a fabulous family.

We were there for Paul's tux and the one we were targeting was right up front.

194.jpg

It wasn't even close to a size that would fit Paul, but he tried on a jacket that was closer to see how it fit. They took Paul's measurements and told us that if he loses :woohoo: or gains  more than 5 pounds to get re-measured before we come down.

We discussed that Paul only needs the suit and some shoes (wearing just for the ceremony and pictures). We are bringing down a pink shirt for him to wear with it. They pulled the jacket off the manequin to see how it looks with the pink shirt and I really love how it looks together. He is going to look so handsome on our big day.

196.jpg

We paid for the tux and discussed delivery and all the steaming that we need to have done. We had such a great time talking to them. What a great family. They even told me ship Paul's shirts down with my dresses so they can press them before our VR. Really fabulous customer service.

Our errands for the day weren't even half done at this point. We still had to meet with Shelley, go shopping at DTD and do our photo shoot with Regina. Eek! So, we hopped back in the car and headed to lunch with Shelley from Impressions...

Aw, Bethie, your hair & makeup look beautiful!! I love the tiara with the flowers. Paul's jacket looks awesome with the pink shirt. You are both going to look fabulous! Seeing Janet 3 times that week? That woman is going to be able to retire. ;)

Have a great week.

Bethie,

I also love WDW early in the morning. I had one morning during the wedding trip that I was able to get up, have some quiet "me" time and it was wonderful! Although I was drinking redbull instead of coffee!

What a beautiful pic of the WP! I love the pink sky all around it...so pretty.

The food at Cali Grill looks so delish! I'm on a "diet" right now, and those pics were pure torture! :lmao: yum, yum!

Your hair looks so pretty! I love the bling and the flowers. And what a handsome suit! Can't wait to see it all together!

Bethie, your hair looks wonderful in the pictures!!! I am so glad you love Janet...I did too! I think it's awesome that you are having her do your hair and makeup three times! I wish I had done that. ;)

I think the pink shirt looks awesome with Paulie's jacket. Then again, pink looks good with everything, in my opinion... :rolleyes1

-Yes! I love the Kona Coffee bar, and I adore iced coffee. We New Englanders NEED our iced coffee.
-Your hair and makeup looks so pretty!!!
-Oohh, I love that tuxedo. It looks very pretty with the shirt. No Mickey vest??
-I’m excited to read more about this busy, busy day.

Thanks, Dee! I am really happy with how my look turned out. I was afraid it might be too much, but it works perfectly.

I do love the look Paul went with. We found a photo of Dennis Seidenberg of the Bruins when he got married and Paul loved what he wore and this is really close to it.

If I want to love my photos, I have no choice but to see Janet that often. My hair would be the downfall, especially in Florida humidity. :scared1:

Thanks, Allie! Morning is lovely at WDW. I especially love it over at Beach Club. Never tried Red Bull. Coffee is enough for me.

I have never loved the WP, but really fell in love with it this past trip. If this was our first time through, I would definitely use it. It was a gorgeous shot that day. :cloud9:

Sorry about the food torture. There is some more coming up from the Yachtsman, just a warning. :goodvibes

I can't wait to see it all put together either. Getting to the anxious stage, I think.

Lacey, you were so right about Janet. She is awesome! Very happy that my hair and face will look their best for all of this. A couple of other ladies definitely recommended it. You looked fabulous in all of our photos!

We both have a pink problem, don't we. I was surprised how much he liked it. Oh, he has Bruins Stanley Cup cufflinks to go with it. :lovestruc

* We New Englanders DEFINITELY need our iced coffee! Even those of us who are just by marriage. :rotfl: Just wish Dunks was going into WDW not Starbucks.
* Thanks, I really do love what she did. She got exactly what I wanted right from the start.
* Sorry, no Mickey vest, no Mickey tie. Just a pink pocket square. Sorry, he doesn't want to be too dressed up this time around.

Hopefully, part 2 will be up tonight.

Meeting with Shelley from Impressions

When we finished at Carolyn Allen's we hopped in the rental car and drove to Too Jays a fabulous deli. I used to eat at Too Jays all the time when I lived in South Flordia and was so happy when I found them in Orlando. Nothing better than matzo ball soup and whitefish salad on a bagel. Yum.

Luckily, Shelley was able to meet us for lunch since it was a huge time saver for both parties. We have been working with Shelley for almost a year and love everything that she has done for us so far. She is amazing at taking one little item that either one of us mention and figuring out a way to make it work. We discussed invites, t-shirt designs, stuff for welcome bags and all the stuff we need for the actual day and lots of other stuff. We love Shelley and always have a blast when we see her. No pictures of this part, but I will be sure to post items as we get them.

Downtown Disney

We wrapped up lunch with Shelley and headed to Downtown Disney for some shopping. I needed to get some stuff for the Fairy Godchildren, check out the scrapbooking store, Art of Disney and always go to the Christmas store.

I have a serious Disney Christmas ornament addiction. Actually, we buy ornaments wherever we travel too. They make a great souvenir and when we put up our tree we love remembering all of our trips, including a bunch from our honeymoon. We have so many ornaments at this point that we have to put up 2 trees.

We decided for our 2 readers and officiant to get them personalized ornaments as gifts. I am doing other things for them as well, but wanted them to have something as a keepsake. We also got one for us as well, as well as a bunch of other ornaments. The FGs got personalized Ariel and Rapunzel ones for their bags.

As we were checking out and dealing with all the personalization desk, I heard a voice coming from my right saying "Bethie"???. I looked over and there was the gorgeous Michelle Sanchez! We hugged like we were old friends and took a couple of photos.

She actually recognized Paulie before she realized it was me! Made the introductions to Paulie and then I had to go meet Manny. It was such an awesome random meeting and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. So glad Michele figured out who we were.

We did some more shopping and then I was a good wife and fulfilled a promise that we would FINALLY get ice cream at Ghiradelli. The timing is never right when we are at DTD, but I promised it this time. We were a bit behind to meet Regina, but I sent Paul over with what I wanted and made my husband very happy. We will have to do Ghiradelli more often. It was delicious! It also worked out well since we needed a snack and dinner wasn't till 8.

Photo Shoot with Regina

We hopped back in the car and headed back to the Poly to meet Regina at 5:30. Ran to the room. Refreshed my lipstick since my makeup didn't need anything, changed into our outfits and headed to the lobby to meet the amazing Regina.

Here are some of our favorite shots from the Poly shoot...

After about an hour, we went back to our room changed outfits and headed to the Beach Club where we did more photos with Regina. We cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She was so easy to work with, so fun and totally got us as a couple. We loved every minute with her and can't wait to have our Bridal shoot with her in November.

Here are some of the Beach Club shots...

Dinner at Yachtsman

We said goodbye to Regina a little bit before 8 and headed to the Yachtsman for dinner. This is our absolute favorite restaurant at Disney. We have never had a bad morsel of food there. We are eating there twice in November we love it so much.

We sat down and ordered a cocktail. Paul had a Sam Adams like a good Bostonian and I had the sangria, which was delicious! Thanks Jackie for the recommendation.

I started with the oysters, which were salty and oh so good. While Paul had their Spring Salad which had a wonderful peach vinaigrette dressing. Paul is not a huge veggie eater, but he did like the salad.

We had a fabulous server, Vicki, who we loved. She thought that our appetizers were taking too long to come out and had the manager, Athena, come over and take them off the bill. We never said anything, but they seemed to think it was taking a while. We didn't complain.

It turned out to be a great thing that Athena came over to talk to us. We had mentioned to Vicki that we wanted to do a group dinner there in November for our VR. She told Athena that before she came over and we talked about it and Athena gave me her card to contact her when I got home. I am so happy that I did since Athena has taken care of everything for us for this dinner. She has been awesome!

Not too long after our apps were done, our entress came out. Paul had the filet, which he orders most everywhere and I ordered the Surf and Turf. Paul thought his filet was better than California Grill the night before and my entree was out of this world good. I could have licked the plate, it was that good.

We were fairly full, but there is always room for dessert. Paul had the chocolate, peanut butter pretzel cake which he adored and I had the creme brulee which was heavenly.

They also gave me a cupcake for my birthday...:lovestruc

We waddled back to the car and talked about how much we love the Beach Club (Yacht too) and we are so happy that we bought our DVC there. We love other resorts, but Beach Club is home for us. We drove back to the Poly and collapsed for the night since we had an early morning with Pooh.

Coming up Day 3...Pooh, MK, Poly Pool and Ohana

Bethie, I love the photos Regina took. Well... all the photos, but especially those. :goodvibes I can't pick a favorite, but I love the one of you resting your chest against his. and the one where your head is back & you are laughing. BUT of course being a Bostonian born & bread....gotta love the NE vs NY shot. :lmao: We were undecided on whether to have dinner at the Yachtsman or LeCellier in Nov. I got the LeCellier ressie, but now.... your meals looked so yummy!
Also, my youngest would fall in love with your FG ornaments. They are her two MOST favorite characters!

-Piffle, Bethie! I can’t stand DD coffee. Sbux all the way!!
-I cannot wait for pictures of all of your items by Shelley. They’re going to be fabulous.
-Your ornaments are so pretty. I love the still happily ever after one! And what a cute Disbride shot.
-I wish you were going to Ghiradelli with us tomorrow ☹ ☹ ☹
-Okay, love the picture where Paul is checking out your butt.
-And the one in the hammock! So, as Jennifer would say, romantical.
-HA! The Jersey picture is adorablleee.
-Is 7:30am too early to crave a Sangria??
-Oh, that’s great about Yachtsman helping you out.
-I had the chocolate peanut butter pretzel cake! That’s the one that I whined about paying $11 for. I still whine about it, but I’m a notorious whiner.
-I thought of you yesterday. When Chris and I were walking Smokey, we were both talking about the Beach Club and how much we like it and how we can’t wait to buy there. Oddly enough, I think after all of this our favorite hotels are the Beach Club… and Pop Century! Both just feel like home to us.

I am so glad i got to meet you!! Meeting you & Justine was one of the highlights of my trip (aside from the ceremony ;) )! I am so happy that u have regina for 3 events! great updates :thumbsup2

Bethie, a side note.... I was just showing DH some of the photos (food was the bait ...photo session was the switch ;) ) . Well, I've been trying to figure out a new hair style for about 2 years, DH sees the photo of you & Paulie and he comments on how pretty your hair is, and maybe I should try that. :) I thought that was a nice compliment for you that I would share. And trust me he does not hand out compliments easily.

LOve the photos, bethie!!! I'm really far behind but I'll get caught up soon!
