I just got the best deal for WDW. I get daily deals through Plum District. On Thursday they had a deal for 2 R/T tickets and 2 day passes to any WDW park for $139 for 2 people. I read all the fine print and I can use my voucher anytime in the next 18mos. There is a list of hotels/villas that you have to use and the min is a 6night stay. I looked through the list and went to each website. The one I am choosing is the Buena Vista Suites right on disney property. All of the rooms have a dining area, refrigerator's,microwaves etc so you can prepare your own food and the price is $180/night. Free transportation to all the parks. I do have another child so I will buy her a flight ticket and then buy additional park passes approx 5. All in all Including money for food I am budgeting $2500 for 6nights/7 days. Much less than I could have ever done. I think we will be going in Jan or Feb 2015.

Buena Vista Suites is NOT on Disney Property.

Sorry might have posted the wrong Buena Vista site, but the resort listed is on Disney property.

Buena Vista Suites is close, but in no way on property. It does have shuttles to the parks, but not as quick and convenient as actually on property. That price is high, also, per night. If you look on mousesavers.com, most non-holiday rates are between $94-119...just sayin

Mousesavers.com has a list of hotels that are on Disney property but not owned by Disney. The PP is correct that Buena Vista Suites is not on Disney property. Maybe you booked the Best Western Lake Buena Vista (also called the Lake Buena Vista hotel)? It is not a Disney resort, but it is near Downtown Disney and located on WDW property.

The Downtown Disney hotels can advertise that they are "on Disney property" but they don't have the same privileges that come with staying in a Disney-owned resort. Several of those hotels have "Buena Vista" in their title. They're located across the street from Downtown Disney. Perhaps the hotel is one of them?

As the PP pointed out, the Buena Vista Suites is not located on Disney property. Make sure that you know what hotel you're getting with this deal. It can make a big difference to your vacation if you're expecting a suite with kitchen facilities and you end up with a single room with a mini-fridge and coffeemaker.

Congrats on your deal and I hope you have a wonderful vaca!
Please come back & tell us all about it once you get home.

I agree! Please come back and report how your experience is. I got this deal through one of the deal sites too and considered but ended up not pulling the trigger. So, I'd love an update!

It is Buena Villa palace resort. Yes I will check back in when we get home.

That hotel does not participate in extra magic hours either. The rooms are typical hotel room sized. Mini fridge style.

But it looks nice enough Price seems high though double check. I am seeing more along the $90 a night range.

Good luck and have fun.

Wait that price includes airfare?! Wow!

If you want to read the details, it is still available on their site. I googled 'Plum District Disney Airfare' and it was the first thing to pop up.

That resort usually goes for way less than $180/night. You're basically being locked into overpaying for your hotel in order to get the "fantastic deal" on the airfare and tickets.

You might also want to check into those tickets to make sure that they aren't promotional tickets which cannot be upgraded. You're going to be in Disney for 6 nights. I assume that you're going to want more than 2 days in the parks.

Thanks for all the info. Yes I do think the price of the hotel is high. I am going to call to see if I can get a better price. If it has a fridge that will be great. We will be eating bfast at the hotel so we will have our other 2 meals at the parks. Yes we will be in the parks for at least 3 days. So I will have to buy more park passes. Thinking I will go with undercover tourist to buy these. All in all it will save me a $1000 which I am happy about. We are the vacation family that likes to move at a much slower speed. We sleep in, enjoy bfast and then leave for the day. We spend 1 day at DTD and 1 day at our resort just letting the kids swim and have fun. I always bring a huge duffle bag full of food. I also pack my own water bottles. I divide them up between our 3 suitcases and that also saves a lot.

i JUST LOOKED UP THE FINE PRINT.
I still think it might be a good deal considering it includes airline tickets. Tickets from my home would easily run $400.oo RT. Yes, the hotel rates are expensive rack rates so you would need to do your math.

There seems to be a new rule floating around... You can't add days to tickets not purchased directly from disney so that 3rd day is going to cost you 100$ per person. I think this might be an anti deal. I just booked all stars via expedia uk for over Halloween last week for 72 USD per night for 5 nights over Halloween. If you did that hotel you would be saving 100$ a night in accommodations and have magical express. With that savings you could buy the park tickets and be staying on site.... Of course you get air fair in your deal. I'm not judging it.... Just suggesting you look around a bit before you get locked in. Also are there any flight restrictions. Like frequent flyer miles where only so many of these offers are allowed on each plane? Making it hard to actually book airfare?

Just some thoughts!

Flight vouchers typically come with a TON of restrictions. They have a ton of blackout dates and can only be used for certain fare classes on certain flights and airlines. Often, you still have to pay all of the taxes and airline fees, so your "free" ticket still can cost you up to half of the airfare. Just a warning, as I have done these types of deals before. The airline voucher fine print might not be listed on the website. You might need to call, and even then then customer service agent might not have access to the info. I just say this because I want you to be aware. DH and I used to take trips like this all of the time to Orlando... usually with a timeshare promotion required. But when you pay $360 total for air, hotel, car, and 1 day tickets for 2 people, it makes for a great weekend.

I would price this out with other deals. I priced out a promotional package like this, and I could get a Disney package to a value resort with free dining for just $100 more. Just remember, when you compare, you must compare apples to apples. You won't be able to upgrade those 1 day tickets. If you only want to go for 1 day, that's fine, but if you want more than 1 day, then there are better deals out there. You can get a week in a 1-2 bedroom condo right next to Disney property for $249 with all taxes and fees included for many dates. For $1080 plus tax and resort fees for the Lake Buena Vista, you can do a lot in Orlando and spend longer in Disney World.

Another warning, off property hotels (meaning not owned by Disney- there are hotels on Disney property that are not owned by them) typically only have transportation to the Disney Parks one or two times a day. If you really want to do it, you can, but you will be in the parks ALL day, and if you miss the shuttle, you will be paying for a taxi. Offsite hotel transportation is nothing like the regular system on Disney Property. Even if the hotel is on property, unless it is a Disney owned hotel or the Swan or Dolphin, it does NOT use Disney Transportation. Anything with Buena Vista in the name is not a Disney owned Hotel.

Be very careful with this deal. My mom received some of these type vouchers and we ran in to a ton of problems. First they only fly out of certain airports and only use certain airlines. I would suggest you come up with a few dates to go and try to avoid holidays or school vacations as these are usually blacked out. I would book as soon as possible. The hotel prices normally run higher as a rule. Good Luck I hope it works out for you.

Great deal thanks for sharing! I love the cheap airfare! Question though does anyone know if the 1 day ticket can be upgraded?

Flights from where I live are going for around $500/pp. We used to travel every yr to Disney and just 1 yr ago was able to fly $200/pp. Now it is not affordable. With this voucher I will save over $1000. I have not problem buying single day tickets. We are not park hopper people and do not need any upgrades to the tickets. Yes I agree that the hotel is expensive, but I would also say that millions of people that visit disney every year spend way more than that on lodging alone. This hotel has shuttle service to all the parks. It might not be the most convenient, but we will make it work. We can even do a day at sea world too.
