I am so happy to report that I just snagged awesome fares on our favorite time frame (leaving PHL 7:00 am, arrive at MCO 9:38 am...leaving MCO 7:50 pm, returning to PHL 10:10 pm). I had an $87 dollar credit and both flights had $59 fares. So, with selecting our seats, the grand total was $366. I am TOO excited!!

Nice!!
I am flying them for the first time out of BWI in August.
We live in northern NJ, but the $54 each way fare was too good to pass up, and I have a BIL who lives in Baltimore that we can stay with the night before the flight.
I'll drive the 3 hours to save that much money! Even with paying for seat selections it was only $564 for all 4 of us.

I got the same awesome rates! We are departing on 8/24 at 7am and returning on a 230pm flight on 9/3 the 830pm was to late to drive from phl to where we are in jersey.

We recently booked the same exact departing flight from PHL! I was surprised with the great rates!

I know! I jumped on that as soon as I seen it especially for a flight that early! I was pondering the 8:30pm flight home on the 3rd but it's like 1 1/2 hrs for the ride home for us so we'd be getting in after midnight so I chose the 2:30pm flight I looked at it as DME picks you up 3hrs ahead and check out time is 11am so we could goto EVERYTHING POP and get something to eat and then leave.
So where are you staying? when do you leave it's to funny we are leaving the same day! Did you pick your seats? I did row 20 . My roundtrip airfare for 4 ppl was apprx$648!!!!:) Can't beat that! And last year we flew Southwest to Mco and Airtran from MCO!! I like both!

I just saw these fares this morning. I have never flown AirTran so I was afraid to book. I think I will book now after seeing that people here already did it.

You guys give me hope that my October flights will drop too!

Congrats on the great rates!!:flower3:

Ok, I got $59 one way from Philadelphia! For 5 people, with seat assigments, I paid $756!:cool1:

They definitely will! I got awesome airfare in 2005 for Oct! It was five hundred something roundtrip for 5 ppl! We went over Halloween! Keep looking and if they don't go down soon they definitely will when southwest opens their dates to compete!

Great rates!! I wish AirTran fly out of CRW!! I did get some great deals from Allegiant for our March trip. I was going to drive, but with the great fares, I decided to fly.

I got Airtran tickets from BWI for $54 also. I was so excited. I think the October rates will go down.

We are staying at the Poly for the first time. I'm not sure what row we are seated in. Maybe row 15...DH handles all the airline details. We usually like to upgrade to Business class when we arrive at the airport...hopefully seats will be available. We return back to Jersey on Aug. 29. August can't get here fast enough!!!

Wish we had those cheap fares from DAY. The lowest we ever see is $72 one way direct.

I've been searching for nonstop flights out of Philly. Did you book directly with the airlines or through a third-party site?

Don't get me wrong, I love Airtran too, that is until they jumped on the baggage bandwagon. I am strictly a SW flier now. Those low fares you all got are really great, but if you are like me with a wife and kid, add about 40 to 80 bucks more for four pieces of luggage.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but that's the way I see it. For you folks reading that can't get SW in your city, my condolences. With the way money is now, I can't see giving Airtran that money when I can fly SW fee free.

Either way, enjoy your vacations!

Southwest does seem like a great alternative to flying an airline with baggage costs -- but unfortunately no Southwest in Milwaukee. I'd fly out of Chicago if I didn't have 3 kids with me. My goal is to pay for the airfare out of the vacation budget and all the "extras" (baggage costs, seat assignments) out of my personal budget. That way the "extras" don't count in my mind.

Do you remember when you booked -- I guess I'm asking about when the rates dropped?

My heart is beating in excitement for seeing those dropped fares. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
