Call me crazy, but I don't want to spend $7.00 on an autograph pen at the parks. I know a pen needs to be a little bit larger for the characters with gloves, so what do you guys suggest we use as an autograph pen? I was thinking a retractable sharpie, but I'm afraid of them getting their gloves marked up....

Sharpies are constantly used don't worry about that. That's what we've always used. The only thing I'd warn is sometimes it will bleed through the page

Retractable sharpies are perfect! You don't have to worry about losing a cap, you can bring several colors if you want your autograph book to have some variety, they're permanent, and they have enough "heft" so that fur characters can hold them fine.

The chunky retractable sharpies are the best. Just make sure the ink is dry before you close the page or close it. Also get the no-bleed style. The cheaper ones may bleed through the pages of your autograph book.

We've always used retractable Sharpies, you can get the multi-colored pack, then let the kids choose the color they want for each character, or color code to match (think green for Tink, red for Mickey, ice blue for Elsa, etc.). Don't worry about the characters with big gloved hands, you'll quickly see that they are already marked up. Just part of the job.

I don't use green - it's impossible to get out of fabric. Every other sharpie color is fine.

Yet another vote for the retractable sharpie. The autograph pen they sell is so useless. Given that the background of the autograph book pages are patterned, it's really not easy to see the autograph well. I like the bold signature that the Sharpie creates.

We tend to use the Dollar Tree Disney pens that are about 10 inches big. They make it easy for big fuzzy paws to make signatures. I'd buy two as they tend to run empty quickly, but they work well :)

I don't know how they'd feel about me showing up with a PAW Patrol pen. :rotfl:

I second the Dollar Tree suggestion. That way you've only spent a buck if you use them as well. If you happen to make your way off property at all before you head to the parks, you can always stop at the little souvenir "junk" shops they have nearby. Same pens, half the price.
