Aulani accommodation tax

we have never stayed at Aulani resort and I don’t understand what the additional accommodations tax will be. We are staying from February 24th to March 6, 2026. One bedroom standard view. . I looked at the tax schedule on the DVC website and it looks like it is approximately $30 per night? Which is about $330. Does that make sense? I thought it was a lot more?. Appreciate any help.

The schedule posted on DVC's website is what you will be charged. The tax is not as high in Ko Olina as it is in other areas of Hawaii.

My understanding is the occupancy tax for hotel-side Aulani is more expensive than those rates for the DVC-side. The state of Hawai’i calculates it differently for hotels versus fractional-ownership, even if renting points or using points from a non-Aulani contract.

It's a lot more reasonable than VDH, I tell you that much.

Sounds right. You probably assumed it was more since people complain about VDH all the time.
