Stephanie.... welcome,I have a DD who will be 16 in a few days. She too has decided that she would rather workout than watch what she eats. She is on the treadmill 1 hour per day. Eats whatever she wants and has loss 10lbs in the past 4 months. She is heathly and muscular at 5'2 and 120lbs... Like most older people I get nervous when ever I hear a young girl concerned about her weight, even though at one time I was a younger girl concerned about my weight.
We are all hear to support you and your recommitment to working out.![]()
Hello!
That's really great for your DD! I have always wanted a treadmill, but we don't have any extra room in our house for one.
I'm not TOO concerned about my weight, it's just that I'd like to drop a couple more pounds because I always end up gaining when I come back from Disney. But of course, I have no regrets after eating all that delicious food.
I'm really proud of myself for being at a healthy weight now after being a chubby kid for most of my life.
Thank you!!
I have been at 174.5 for over a week and I miss not having to think about everything I eat. I know I should be happy with a 20lbs lost but I feel stuck and depressed. We leave for WDW in 48 more days and I so badly wanted to be at least 160 by then. I would so like to be able to post a pic of myself on Facebook and not be horrified.
Work has been rough this week
and I hate mean people.

A week off schedule but after two very indulgent weekends I'm happy. This week I was so good that I lost what I gained on the weekend plus 1.2 lbs. I'm now just about half way to my goal of losing 20 lbs by Disney! Only just over 10 more to go!
I think I will avoid the scale myself for a few days.
(plane lands at 2ish I think), check in, tour POP, dinner at Kona Cafe at 5:30, evening in Magic Kingdom
I will be haveing the KONA KONE for dessert this night)
. That is a total of 1.2 lbs. Slowly but surely, the tortoise wins the race
and have been so exhausted by the time I get home I don't feel like doing anything. I have been walking every night though, and have been drinking lots of water and eating pretty healthy...with a couple little treats here and there. One of the things I really like about my new job is that I am constantly moving- I am able to sit for a morning break and for lunch, but that's really it. The other 7-ish hours, I'm up and walking and moving. This Friday though, I am back on the wagon full-time, doing the challenges and everything
