August/September Disneyers...let's get in shape for our trip!!

So... today I weighed in at....

159 :cool1:  :cool1:  :woohoo:

Though, it might be a fluke. I had caffeine yesterday afternoon....and didn't really realize HOW MUCH. So... that kind of...cleaned.me.out. after dinner :rolleyes2:bitelip::rolleyes1. Very possible that it's just water weight. But we'll see over the next day or so!!

Breakfast is GF oats (1/2 cup) with berries, ground flax meal, and a couple of almonds. Lunch will be a stuffed baked potato- half of a baked potato, beans, salsa. YUM. I also will have an apple with me (it's MASSIVE) and 1/2 a cucumber.

I'll check in later! Time to get ready for work!

AWESOME!!!! I dream of 159.:cool1:

Half day of work and did not weigh in today. Tonight taking the kids and their friend to the midnight showing of Harry Potter.popcorn:: I hope the coffee keeps me awake tomorrow at work.:surfweb:

I will weigh in tomorrow to get my official weight. I have been stuck again so they switched up my diet to get all my carbs in before dinner.

Great job SDSorority! 159 is sooo great!

Cathy, you've been consistently on track for so long. I'm sure you'll see results!

My back is improving slowly but surely. My chiropractor says I'll be able to be a bridesmaid if I take it easy and lay down as much as possible when I can and he said "We'll get you dancing by Saturday...well, slow dancing." I'll take it!!!

Okay, this may seem OT at first, but just stick with me. Have any of you ladies ever seen that movie "Surf's Up"? With the surfing penguins and Jon Heder as the voice of a chicken? At one point in the movie, the main characters are trying to accomplish something and Jon Heder's character says "It's gonna be a good day, I can feel it in my nuggets." THAT is how I feel about tomorrow's weigh-in :goodvibes I know it might sound really corny, but it's true!

Tara, I'm so sorry to hear about your back! But I'm glad the Dr cleared you to dance...even just a little bit, haha :)
SDSorority, WHOOO!! on your loss!! I might have to give your hummus recipe a spin! When are you checking in, exactly? I also have about 10 weeks left before my trip- I wonder if a meet might be in order!
Cathy, if you soak the cukes overnight in just a little bit of the rice vinegar, they are sooooo good. But not too much, they're pretty absorbent!

I'm crossing my fingers for all you ladies to have successful weigh-ins tomorrow as well!!

Tara - hope you are making some progress and you are feeling some relief for your back.

Happy to report a .4lb loss today making my official weight 225 with exactly 15lb lost. Not much of a loss but I've been kind of sluggish this week. Not as much stress, trying to keep that in the background and not obsess over it (I worried a lot as a child and have worked to keep it under control). However, work has been a pain and I've been super tired every day even though I feel like I'm getting decent rest. I know that doesn't help with my weight loss. But its a new week and I just need to keep making positive progress.

WOW 15lbs that is the same size as a Thanksgiving turkey. You must be sooo proud.. WAY TO GO:banana::banana::banana:

I am down another 2 pounds....6.8 total!!!

You are doing great!!!!

As for me I hope to be 160 by Aug 20th when we leave for WDW... I am now at 170lbs

Congratulations everyone!!

Cathy - 170 is so great! A new decade coming up! Yay!!

Stephanie - congrats to you too! 15 lbs is a big deal! Keep it up!

SD and spartankid - yay on the losses!! So happy for you! Keep it up!

Kaiti - were you right about that good feeling?? Looking forward to hearing!

So I haven't weighed myself for quite a few days now. I'm still not doing great with my back but did have some good meds and danced at the wedding!! It was a great day and I was so happy I could be a bridesmaid for my friend! Today I'm sort of taking a rest day (from activity and dieting!) But after reading about all of your successes, I'm planning on getting back on track tomorrow for sure. I can do mild exercises and have to increase strength training for my back and abs (so this doesn't happen again!) I can also walk fairly comfortably now. I have to get my eating back on pace too but I know I can do it!

Unofficial weight today was 168.8lbs:goodvibes:goodvibes Hope it becomes offical tomorrow at weigh in.

I was! But it was short-lived...but not because of the scale. I had a pretty rough night last night with some personal news. I'm trying to not let it bleed into a gain at the scale, but it's really hard to not let something like that get to me in that way. I think this is where they came up with the term "baptism by fire."

I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

This thread is soooo awesome!!

I am more than willing to help offer advice since I have been down the road many of you are on. Just PM me with questions!

I weighed 230 lbs in 2004 when I was on my Honeymoon at Disney World :(
I became a coach for Beachbody to stay accountable for my workouts. Well, now I am 170 and am helping people all over then nation get in shape.

Combining my love for Disney and fitness coaching seems like an odd pairing but I am loving it!

Thanks Jason! Congratulations on your incredible weight-loss journey! I'll be checking out your websites for sure!

I weighed myself today! And it's good news. Despite my relative inactivity, I've been careful about eating (except this past Saturday and Sunday) and it's translated into a loss! Only one pound over the last couple of weeks but I'll take it! 178.6 lbs. Again, a number I haven't seen in a couple of years! (I call it a "new low" for this weight-loss attempt. I find this funny because on the way up it was a shocking "new high". Oh well, I'm glad I'm not still on my way up!)

Because of my back I was thinking I won't be able to make my goal of being in the 160's for Disney. My loss rate is so S L O W! But I'll still try to head in that direction and get as near as possible. Thanks for all the inspiration everyone!

That's great!!! Any weight loss is a great step towards your goal :goodvibes

What's your daily nutrition like? What exercises do you do? I'm always curious!

So true! We gotta put in the hard work.

Congrats on the loss:cool1::cool1: I understand the new high turning into a new low all to well. Keep up the healthy eatting and a new low will be right around the corner.

It is official.... 168.5 at weigh in today. At this rate I could be in the 150's by WDW time :banana::banana: The heat in Michigan has been a great motivator. For some reason it is easier for me to avoid comfort food in the heat.

Dangit....I was really hoping someone would answer my CraigsList ad!! I do love this statement, though. It's pretty motivating! One of my favorite motivational quotes is from Henry Ford (I believe...):

"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're probably right."

WHOOOO!!!! :cheer2::banana: I love it!!!

Tara- Love the loss!! I'll take any little loss I can get myself. It's way better than a gain!

Love this quote!! Thank you!

Weigh in tonight!! Let's see how this goes, 6.8 total as of today, hoping it drops a litle more for this week  A little nervous this week, not feeling like I've lost, so we'll see!

Don't focus too much on scale weight loss! Without knowing much of your background don't forget that you build muscle while you work out, and that weighs pounds too. So if the scale doesn't move, don't get discouraged!

Congrats to you too! We've got the same heat wave here in Ontario and it's true, less hungry. Although...we went out for Costco ice cream cones tonight. Ooops! Tomorrow's another day...
