August planners, lets plan together!

So I'm on this site everyday because I can't do anything until August 1st - this trip is a surprise for my kids so I can't give any indication that we're going. Today I'm making a Mickey Patriot football iron on for DH for father's day and I do have shirts to make for the girls, but I can't do it today with them in the other room playing UP on the Wii. I'm making backsacks, but they think it's for camp so I'm ok there.

I agree the waiting seems to take forever. We've only known we were going a few weeks ago so I haven't had to wait so long, but I feel for you - I've had to wait 550 days before it stinks!!

Check out the creative Dis threads for iron on ideas - the ladies there are AMAZING!!!! for custom iron-on shirts! Makes it fun! Gives you something to do.

We're going in August! I just changed my res from July 1 to August 1 - 8. SOOO excited, the countdown is ON!!

Oh.. we are staying at the WL. I have ADR's at Coral Reef, Breakfast with Donald at the Tusker House, and Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch! :dance3:

We are going to ASMu Aug 22-29--1st time trip! Here are my plans:
Aug 22 arrive pool maybe MK for spectro/Wishes?
Aug23 AK yak and yeti lunch
Aug 24 EP Akershaus late breakfast Illuminations?
Aug 25 MK CP lunch
Aug 26 EP/DTD Cape May breakfast 6:00 Cirque?
Aug 27 MK EMH afternoon BBB for both girls CM dinner Spectro/Wishes?
Aug 28 DS Sci Fi lunch
Aug 29 MK CRT later breakfast sprint to bus, sprint to resort for ME pick up
(10:10 reservation 3:50 flight)

Will keep calling to see if I can get any earlier for CRT. Hopefully I can or hopefully they will be on time and I won't get anymore flight changes.

What do you think of the plans?

I'm still trying to get into Ohana for dinner! I've called everyday hoping someone has cancelled - isn't that awful!

I'm trying to focus on DD9's birthday party which is on the 28th, but I'm not doing a good job of it. Did anyone see the DL cake celebration challenge on Food Network this weekend? I kept asking my kids what we would celebrate if we went to Disney - they don't know we're going.

I just can't wait.

So DH and I have been looking at flights and yesterday we realized that if we fly out of Providence RI on the 26th, stay at Disney with no ticket on the 26th, we can get a full day of park ticket on the 27th and then fly home on 9/1 that it would be equal to the cost of flying out of Boston, MA on the 27th, get a 1/2 day park ticket on the 27th and then fly home on 9/1.

I'm rooting for the fly out on the 26th. What do you think?

I just paid for our trip!!!

Well, actually I just put it on the Disney Visa. My husband can pay for it when he gets around to it.

But, hey, we're going to Disney.

So what does everyone think? DD10 HATED Biergarten last year, it was such a flop for us! The noise was just too much. She loves Ohana's,whispering Canyon and primetime. She begged us for Hoop De doo again this year... our big changes that we have never done before are Teppan Edo and Tusker House...:goodvibes

1 month 2 weeks and 3 days!!!!

ACK!!! We are going to WDW!!!!

I am slightly freaking out! We haven't told the kiddos yet (soon though) and I am really getting ancy! I am sooooo concerned about the heat and the crowds (looks like they are at a level 6 for our week).

And I'm going to stop now before I really freak out!!!!!!

 :scared1:  :confused3 :yay:

Is Illuminations going on Friday, August 21st @ 9pm?
It doesn't say on waltdisneyworld.com and I'm planning on watching it this night. Would be helpful to find out before I get there at 9pm on the 21st to find NOTHING going on :goodvibes

Just 39 more days, and we're packing the car!!! We'll be there Aug 2nd - the 8th. Staying at WLV's and here are our ADR's if anyone else is going the same time!

Sun- Arriving, eating dinner at a monorail resort once we check in and get settled

Mon- Dinner at VICTORIA & ALBERTS *bragging ALOT* surprise dinner for my DP

Tue- Dinner at Ohana's

Wed- Dinner at Le Cellier

Thur- Hollywood Brown Derby

Fri- thinking about switching from Ragland Road (just heard some HORRIBLE reviews)

Sat- 1900 Park Fare character breakfast and sadly, then we leave :sad1:

I'm beyond excited about our trip. NO kids this time, JUST us and its her FIRST time ever at DW!!! Gonna be amazing! :woohoo:

I got our tickets to WDW in the mail yesterday :cool1: AND our confirmation email for our final payment on our Townhome at Windsor Hills.:goodvibes It's getting closer, it's getting closer, it's getting closer......

Okay, I have to compose myself, but we are now officially 41 days until we arrive in Orlando. I still have so much to do. I better get busy.

I love hearing others haven't told their kids either! We're totally keeping it a surprise from our kids because we told them we couldn't afford to go again until 2010 - which we can't, but we're going in 64 days!:cool1:

Sounds like everyone is trying something different for dining. We're doing Nine Dragons - cause I couldn't get LeCellier and Mama Melrose (which we hated 6 years ago, but giving it another try) because we are sick of Hollywood & Vine.

I've been secretly putting things into a bag so the girls don't notice. I got my M&M tubes filled with quarters and pennies! I grabed mini-lighted-fans at Target a month ago. I need to start working on the iron-on shirts, I'm waiting for them to go on sale at Joanne's. I picked up the $2 cami t-shirts at Old Navy last week which I'll bring as back up if it's REALLY hot (hello I'm going in August it will be HOT!) and they don't want to wear t-shirts.

Anyone booking the Wishes Dessert? The food looks great, but I think we're going to pass on it. I don't think we need to spend $60 on it.

OH - did I tell you we booked our flights!! I just need to call up on the room, but I just saw a room only discount on Mousaver.com for standard value rooms $49 or was is it $69 regardless it will be a savings from the $90 room we were going to get.
