August planners, lets plan together!

I am going nuts!!!!! I hate wishing my summer away but I just can't wait!!! Ihave a shelf in the closest where I'm starting to "stash" things but I want to get the luggage out!!! DH would think I'm nuts!!! I guess he'd be right - I just spent an hour cleaning my pennies for the pressed penny machines!

Out of curiosity, do Canadian pennies work in the pressed penny machines at WDW?

I also have a shelf full of Disney stuff for our next trip. My DH really thinks Im nuts when I buy stuff for our next Disney trip when we dont even have it planned yet, but I think hes catching on that there is always a next Disney trip in the plans!:rotfl:

24 days till we leave - I can hardly contain myself, yet I'm almost getting afraid because I feel like I'm no where prepared to leave, lol!

Anyone else feeling the anxiety because time is going so quickly - This is new for me, not sure why.

Since we leave for WDW in 33 days, I'm claiming honorary membership in "Club 33" for the day.
OK, so I know that Club 33 is at Disneyland, so it doesn't quite work, but I'm still excited!
We figured out on Saturday we can count the weeks until we leave on one hand now!

Wow! You have a busy month ahead!! :goodvibes Congratulations on the wedding and good luck with the closing!! :cool1: THEN....... enjoy your honeymoon in the world!!n:banana:

kidsrfun: i think we'll be there the same time too!! 7/3-8/3..

Edit: Ok, wait, no.....I can't add very well!! Must be the excitement of it all!!

Feeling so guilty. We weren't planning on going to wdw since we had our big vacation there last year and we're planning for dd's wedding in Jan, so we figured maybe a long weekend in the Outerbanks or Va.beach. Well, with the sale in August, we're able to stay for 6 nights what it would cost us for 3 nights at the beach. So I booked split stay at allstar and akl.:cool1: Last week a dear friend of ours had a construction accident and is in critical care with no insurance and unfortunately all our extra funds are tied up for vacation so we can't help them right now. I'm just hoping our friend will be home from the hospital before we leave and things will be closer to normal, so we can enjoy disney.

So DH was able to call Disney and change our vacation around so we have tickets starting the day we get there and just a room for the day we leave. This was in place of the room only discount I had tried to use before. We had to move to Pop but it's all good - we're going and that's all I really care about.

Making me CRAZY that I can't pack yet - the trips a surprise for my kids so I can't pack until August 1st in secret - 16 more days until packing. I was at a birthday party this weekend and the 6 of us were all talking about Disney, some had just come back, some where going in a few weeks.:rotfl: It was so funny.

You're right it does seem like we're wishing our summer away! But what a nice summer ending it will be!

You know your trip is getting close when you're at Walmart buying ponchos. That's what I was doing today, along with a chamois and carabiner clips. The shirts are almost done -- two sets -- one painted Mickey heads, the other a Peter Pan iron on set. Each of our Peter Pan shirts has a silhouette of a different character. Mine has the three children and Peter flying through the sky with "I believe in pixie dust" -- DD's is Peter with "Off to Neverland" -- other DD has Wendy with "I can fly!" and DH has Peter with "I'll never grow up".

Next up -- making id tags for the girls and luggage tags for bags. Also phone number stickers for cameras etc.

Hey, I've been to the beach with the kids twice this week, so I'm not all Disney... not wishing the summer away this week as the weather has been absolutely GORGEOUS here in CT. No rain, low 80's, sunny skies. Hope everyone is as lucky where they are...

I am in CT too. About time we had some decent weather, huh? I, too, have been trying to enjoy it. When do you leave?. As you can see by my ticker, we are off on the 17th of August. I am finding it hard not to wish my summer away. I am looking for a large caribiner clip and couldn't find one at my Wal-mart. What size did you get and at which store?

Just wanted to jump in and say HI to my fellow disers. We are located in central CT too--- loved seeing the sun today. We leave for disney on the
3rd. We are there from the 5th to the 13th. So nice to see other CT'ers going in August. We braved Tropical storm Fay last year. So I am up for anything mother nature throws at us this year. Hoping for lots of sun though!

I haven't looked for it yet, just wondering if anyone has seen the list of movies being shown in Fort Wilderness in August. I will head over to the FW link to see if it is posted yet as well. I may remember that it isn't listed until the week before the next month.

Just got our Magical Express passes in the mail today!!!! SO EXCITING!!

2 weeks until we're staying overnight in Macon, GA and then 2 weeks from tomorrow until Disney! :dance3:

I checked the FW camping thread and found that the movie list is transcribed by someone onthe Dis when it is released, usually about the 1st of the month.

I am joining in and doing the happy dance too. Anyone else going to have their lime green Mickey heads from Home Depot with them??? We've has such a miserable summer up here in Ontario, Canada, I can't wait for Disney... That and the kids again don't know we are going.... They think we are going to Hershey, PA....hehehehehe.... My hubby is making a DVD with a few animations on it and a friend of his is voicing it. plus when we stop at the rest centre, the kids and I will leave the van and when they come back they'll discover the Disney Stuffed animals that hubby bought.

Haven't read through the whole thread but wanted to say hi. We will be there August 16-23, staying at ASMu. We are a grand gathering with my family of 4, my sister's family of 5 and my parents. We got all the ADRs we wanted and can't wait to try out this free dining. We will be driving from Bethlehem, PA.

Here's our list:

Sunday- dinner at Chef Mickeys
Monday- dinner at Garden Grille
Tuesday- lunch at 50's
Wednesday- TL
Thursday- breakfast at Donald's
Friday- dinner at Crystal Palace
Saturday- breakfast at Cape May Cafe

We were also there during TS Faye last August. We started out on DCL and couldn't come back to Port Canaveral. We had to dock in Port Everglades and be bussed back up to Canaveral. That was not fun. But the rain did keep the lines down at MK and the temps down too.

Hope everyone has a great trip!!
