I'm cross posting on a couple of August threads, so bear with me if you saw this on another thread.

Just thought I'd mention that Disney has been tweaking park hours for August, and I suggest checking the hours for your visit.

A couple of things I've discovered for when we're there (8/15 through 8/22) is that AK is closing at 5:00, not 6:00 most nights, and that DHS has had Fantasmic performances change (none on some previously announced days, and two performances on others).

We're leaving in a few days and I hope the weather stays the same. I'm not taking any chances tho. Raincoats were the 1st thing on my packing list!

I must have jinxed myself! We got a 20 minute downpour this evening, but we were driving back to Sports and it stopped as soon as we hit the McDonalds by the hotel...I guess we are lucky! The humidity is the bad part, so the mister fans help a lot!

I couldn't find rain ponchos anywhere here. At Target they laughed at me when I asked. I'm in SoCal, and we're in the middle of a drought, not to mention it's summer!!

I know last minute, but, thought I'd put it out there.

We have 5 spaces avail. on an Illummination Cruise for Aug 27th. Must be at Y&B dock promptly at 8:00pm. We will split the cost equally among those on board. PM me directly if interested.

Hey we were there then too at sports. That was the day we went to sea world and just got in the room, when the rain hit. On our last night we decided to check out the MK fireworks at the ticket center and 10 minutes to 10, it downpours, so no fireworks. That's what I get for waiting until the last night.
