August planners, lets plan together!

Ok so I used the online ADR thing and made some changes to my dining.

We're going to do Prime Time on 8/27 and LeChef on the 28th.

I'm shocked at how little there is out there for ADRS. I use to be able to get exactly what I wanted for ressies without having a problem, but this time around it was very sad. No Ohana or LeCellier.:sad2: We are going to Chef Mickey and 1900 park fare, which I know the girls will be happy about.

We'll be there Aug. 16th-20th at the Poly!:cool1: This is our 25th wedding anniversary trip and it's just the two of us!:bride::groom:

Congratulations on 25 years!!!!
We are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary too!!!!!
We will be at CBR Aug 19- 25

Hey August travalers :yay: I can't wait like all of you.
I have been pouring over all the posts and have learned a lot of great tips. :thumbsup2

We are heading to WDW Aug 19-25th just DH pirate: and I princess:
In honor of our 25th Wedding Anniversary (was June 21st)

We are not taking the kids. Well young adults I should say (DD 23, DD 19)
My Mom said "Those kids are going to have a party when you are gone." She doesn't think we should go.

My opinion is if they clean the house up better than they found it .....Party away kids. party:

What I am TERIFIED  :scared1: about is that I will have to fly. That is the ONLY way DH agreed to come back. We drove from PA last time and it took us FOREVER.

So far I am happy with our ADRs

Aug 19th (6 pm Cirque du soleil) 830 pm Raglan Road
Aug 20th Epcot 730 pm Biergarten
Aug 21st Epcot 5:15 pm Marakesh
Aug 22nd 800 pm Spirit of Aloha Luau
Aug 23rd 515 pm Sanaa
Aug 24th 935 pm California Grill (last night in WDW):sad1:

We are staying at the CRB :beach: This will be our first time staying onsite.

Half the fun for me is all the planning and I have a huge binder with lots of stuff in it already. It will eventually be our scrapbook.

I am excited to share with others who understand my excitement.

That's it! Our anniversary trip is set! I'm enjoying the planning... but can't wait for the time away with my hubby in my favorite place in the world!! :cool1:

See ya there!

My husband and I are teachers, so we have the summer off. School just finished and we have 40 summer days until we leave for FL (Aug 6-19). We did an August trip about 7 yrs ago... and then I decided that early July was a better choice -- that way I wouldn't spend my entire summer getting ready (read: obsessing) for our trip. July did work well for years... but now this summer I have to try to focus on other things until then!

Today is cleaning up from our short camping trip... and then a trip to the library to get some non-WDW planning books to read. :lmao:

Kathy

So for those of you who are surprising your family with your vacation what have you been able to do in secret? We're not telling our kids until we pull up to the airport and check in - they'll see the ORLANDO sign and figure it out, I can't wait.:rotfl:

I can't pack until August 1st because I have so much going on in July and I figure I can hide suitcases for 25 days better then 56 days. Last night we went to Target and looked at the Igloo cooler backpack someone had posted on here - $28 - but it's a fully insulated cooler with other pockets and it's a backpack - hello we're going in August - so I'm trying to talk DH into it!

Keep checking out the picture of the day threads and it has reinforced my goal this year to go on EVERY extreme ride this year. So I'm off to buy Bonine today - it's the only thing that helped me drive the 24 hours to FL last time and be able to handle rides at Hershey. I think I'm going to do TOT this year.:headache: We'll see.

We are going to ASMu Aug 22-29--1st time trip! Here are my plans:
Aug 22 arrive pool maybe MK for spectro/Wishes?
Aug23 AK yak and yeti lunch
Aug 24 EP Akershaus late breakfast Illuminations?
Aug 25 MK CP lunch
Aug 26 EP/DTD Cape May breakfast 6:00 Cirque?
Aug 27 MK EMH afternoon BBB for both girls CM dinner Spectro/Wishes?
Aug 28 DS Sci Fi lunch
Aug 29 MK CRT later breakfast sprint to bus, sprint to resort for ME pick up
(10:10 reservation 3:50 flight)

Will keep calling to see if I can get any earlier for CRT. Hopefully I can or hopefully they will be on time and I won't get anymore flight changes.

What do you think of the plans?

Our NWA flight from MCO to MSP got bumped even earlier to a 3:20 p.m. departure. (Grrr.)
You may want to check your return flight.

I just realized I only have 31 days left - I better get back in planning gear - woo hoo!

woo-hoo!!!! We have officially made it under the 30-day mark on our countdown!! We can't wait - the girls are so excited and so am I!!!!

We have a last minute opening 07/30/08-08/08/09 for a fridge swap at the POP if anyone is interested. Check us out on the Budget Board under the Hop on Pop Swap!

Wow! You have a busy month ahead!! :goodvibes Congratulations on the wedding and good luck with the closing!! :cool1: THEN....... enjoy your honeymoon in the world!!n:banana:

I just need to call up on the room, but I just saw a room only discount on Mousaver.com for standard value rooms $49 or was is it $69 regardless it will be a savings from the $90 room we were going to get.

Wow - I heard that the annual passholders rate was down to 64 dollars at POP...would be interested if you got it lower than that - what code used.

24 DAYS TOO GOO:cheer2::dance3::cheer2: My dates 8/7-14th at the POP and then to CBR until the 18th.

Is anyone else going crazy with the wait?? I am 24 days away from getting on the airplane to FL and just can't WAIT!!!! Our countdown chain is so much shorter than when we started.... but I've gotten all of our ADRs... made an excel spreadsheet of our plans... gotten started on the packing... designed t-shirts... yet I don't want to wish the summer away either. I'm a teacher so summer is my down time. I'm home for 3 more weeks and then Disney -- and after that only 4 days and we're back to work. So this is my summer break. This is why all of our other summer trips have been in July -- don't have to wait all summer for the trip -- get it over with and then enjoy the rest of summer. You know what I mean!

Okay, I feel better now. Back to the packing list.

:)
Kathy

I am going nuts!!!!! I hate wishing my summer away but I just can't wait!!! Ihave a shelf in the closest where I'm starting to "stash" things but I want to get the luggage out!!! DH would think I'm nuts!!! I guess he'd be right - I just spent an hour cleaning my pennies for the pressed penny machines!
