August Exercise Challenge-Movin' and Losin' into Fall

I worked in our yard for 3 hours :scared: yesterday before the sun and heat got the best of me. Afterwards, I sat on the porch with a tall iced tea and admired my days work.

I missed a few walk away the pound days. But I did 60 minutes of cardio drumming, as I call it, on Wed. I go at Band Hero on expert and don't stop it leaves me sweaty and burns about 500 calories. I got in 30 min WATP today as well as a 60 minute swim.

I am at 210/1000 Gonna step it up so I can make my 1000. :cool1:

I was marked wrong on there but doesn't matter this new one will take care of it.

Sorry about that! I just updated. Please let me know if it is still wrong. I didn't realize Band Hero was such a good workout. Do tell! I am always on the lookout for a new Wii game.

I had a great walk this morning :woohoo: and it wasn't too hot and humid.

I'm so excited that the W&D Half is just around the corner. I can almost smell the cheddar beer soup waiting for me at the finish line ... nummy

Sounds like an excellent walk! I love weather like that!

I'm at 225/1000 this month, thanks to a 85 min run/walk on this beautiful morning. It makes me excited for fall and i haven't even had my summer vacation yet.:rotfl:

I had a really hard time gritting through boot camp today! :worried: I tried spin class for the 1st time - once on Monday and once on Wednesday - and I think it definately took me to a new level this week. :faint:

Of course, my weight loss wasn't as good this week as last week. :crazy2:

Way to go making it to boot camp! My gym doesn't offer classes. I've heard such great things about classes like boot camp and spinning that I often think about joining a gym with classes. There's also something great about $10.60 a month. :rotfl:

Yard work is amazing exercise. I can raise my heart rate raking as about the same as the Wii Fit+. :confused3

Note to self ... leaving the house at 9:00 am for a 65 minute walk is too late in the day in this kind of hot humid weather :cool1: I was a hot mess!

I finished July with 3604/3000. August I'm at 1171/2500.

Cruise was Great! Spending time with my DSis & her girls/grand daughters even better.

Did a spinning class on the ship & could easily become addicted if there was one near me.....wish there was!

Never took an elevator or escalator the whole trip. Just stairs & TONS of them.

Cruise left on Sat & Tues morning I woke up with upper respiratory crud - thought was allergies & by end of cruise was coughing non-stop. I THINK I may be starting to improve a bit. DD18 is a couple days behind me & also pretty miserable.

Sashi the husky only got walked 3x in 3 weeks, so I'm getting out with her anyway, but not for as long. Slowly catching up.

Looks like everyone here is doing great. KEEP MOVING!!!!
